GOLDFISH HEDDON 120 TORPEDO

Lot # 1276 (Sale Order: 276 of 680)

During this model’s 6-year run, Heddon advertised that the fisherman could special order any standard finish on this bait in 1926 only. Since Goldfish was never a catalogued color, it is presumable this bait dates to around that year. The bait grades Very Good Plus with a hairline in the right eye and a few minor marks around the body, paint still attached to the belly weight, and some rust and verdigris on the hardware. Item Dimensions: 3 - 1/2" length.

PONTIAC RADIUM MINNOW IN WOODEN PICTURE BOX

Lot # 1280 (Sale Order: 280 of 680)

From the Pontiac Mfg Co, Pontiac, MI and dating to about 1909. Finished in red sides with a dark back and a pair of perfect egg-yolk-colored glass eyes. The very rare wooden box is about Excellent Minus with its original label, still brightly colored, with a couple small tears at the side and on one corner. Lot # 1286 (Sale Order: 286 of 680)

ALL WHITE HEDDON SPINDIVER

Lot # 1292 (Sale Order: 292 of 680)

A very rare, better condition, special color Spindiver. Solid White was never offered as standard color and they rarely come up for sale. You’d be hard pressed to find another example this nice. Item Dimensions: 4 - 1/4" length.

HEDDON FOOTBALL-RIG DUMMY DOUBLE IN SOLID YELLOW

Lot # 1300 (Sale Order: 300 of 680)

Earliest No 1505 Dummy Double with the side “football” rig hangers which were only made in its inaugural year, 1913. Yellow was never a catalog color on this model and Heddon advertised they would entertain special order colors on this bait in 1913 only. The bait came with the two semi-weedless hooks at the sides, and typically no attached rear hook, allowing the fisherman to custom rig the bait to his preference. Considerable chipping to the nose, chin, and right cheek areas, with the belly weight exposed. Final grade is somewhere between Average and Good. Item Dimensions: 3 - 1/4" length.
