1927 Polish P.F.K wz.98 (K98) Carbine (23.62") 8mm Mauser, Bolt-Action Rifle, 102768

This wz.98, or "Polish K98", Carbine was produced at the Panstwowa Fabryka Karabinw, or Poland State Rifle Factory - P.F.K. and is dated "1927" on the receiver ring along...more with the Polish Eagle crest. This gun is full or partial visible numbers matching: receiver, stock, buttplate, floor/ magazine plate, rear sight, front band, front sight, bolt release and floorplate screws. The bolt & follower are not numbers matching; however, the Polish proof stamp & letter suffix indicates that they are replacement parts produced at the Polish Radom factory. This rifle does not have any visible import stamps. SPECS: Hardwood stock & handguard, 23.62" barrel, metal buttplate, adjustable folding tangent rear sight, v-blade front sight with ears, bayonet lug, sling rings with brown leather sling marked "BREDA HOLLAND 1960" and 5-round internal magazine. CONDITION: This rifle is in nice condition with light battle wear, has a deep/ sharp bore with some very light pitting in the grooves and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Polish wz.98 rifle was a slightly shorter version of the German K98 with a strengthened and improved staking hook. It was produced from 1925-1929 by P.F.K. This WWII Japanese service rifle was produced at the Nagoya Arsenal and sports a scrubbed chrysanthemum receiver stamp which indicates a GI bring-back. SPECS: Smooth wood...moreen stock with grooved forearm, 26" barrel, metal buttplate, adjustable folding tangent rear sight, fixed post front sight with ears, bayonet lug and sling rings. CONDITION: This rifle is showing surface wear but still retains an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Type 99 was a bolt-action of the Arisaka design used by the Imperial Japanese Army during World War II. The Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) developed the Type 99 based on the Type 38 rifle but with a caliber of 7.7mm. The Type 99 was produced in four versions, the regular issue Type 99 Short Rifle, the Type 99 Long Rifle (a limited production variant), the take-down Type 2 Paratroop Rifle, and the Type 99 Sniper Rifle. The Type 99 was the first mass-produced infantry rifle to have a chrome lined bore to ease cleaning, but this was abandoned by mid WWII along with several other time saving production methods. This British No. 4 MKI* service rifle is marked "LONG BRANCH/ 1945" which means that it was originally produced at the Small Arms Limited (SAL) facility in Long Branch, O...morentario, in 1945. It is also marked "(F) FTR/ 49" which means that was Factory Thoroughly Repaired (FTR) and updated at the British Fazakerley Royal Ordnance Factory in 1949. SPECS: Smooth wooden stock & handguard, 25" barrel, brass metal buttplate with cleaning kit compartment (does not include kit), adjustable folding tangent rear sight with peep, dovetailed front blade sight with ears, sling rings, bayonet lugs at the muzzle and 10-round internal clip fed magazine. CONDITION: This rifle was imported & sold by CAI and is in surplus condition with Cosmoline anti-rusting grease in the surface cracks and in the bore. This rifle appears to be in good working order and the bore is sharp. HISTORY: The LeeEnfield is a bolt-action, magazine-fed repeating rifle that served as the main firearm of the military forces of the British Empire and Commonwealth during the first half of the 20th century. The LeeEnfield was the standard issue weapon to rifle companies of the British Army, Colonial Armies (such as India and parts of Africa), and other Commonwealth nations in both the First and Second World Wars. This gun is visible numbers matching: receiver, bolt, buttplate and floorplate, as well as original Izhevsk factory stock cartouches on the left side. SPECS: Smooth wooden stock with grooved forearm, turned down bolt handle, adjustable folding tangent rear sight, hooded front post sight, metal buttplate and 5-round integral box magazine. This gun comes with the following period correct items: (1) bayonet, (2) dual compartment ammo pouches, (1) sling & (2) grease tins. This Russian M44 Carbine is dated 1945 along with the Izhevsk Arsenal stamp on the top of the barrel shank. This rifle was imported to the U.S. by Aziec. SPECS: Smooth ha...morerdwood stock with grooved forearm, 20.2" barrel, adjustable folding tangent rear sight, hooded front post sight, metal buttplate, retractable bayonet, cleaning rod and tan canvas sling. CONDITION: This rifle is in nice condition with some light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Model M1891 Mosin-Nagant is a five-shot, bolt-action, internal magazine fed, military rifle developed from 1882 to 1891. Its original official designation was adopted by the Russian military in 1891, and there have been several variations from the original rifle. The M44 Carbine was introduced into service in late 1944, and remained in production until 1948. They were produced from 1943 to 1948 at the Izhevsk Arsenal and only in 1944 at Tula. Its specifications are very similar to the M1938 with the unique addition of a permanently affixed, side-folding cruciform-spike bayonet. A groove for the folded bayonet is inlet into the right side of the stock. From February, 1944, this type of carbine was issued to Red Army infantry troops as a replacement for the standard rifle.
