Lot consists of (A) Two of the boxes by Winchester, each held 25 rounds of .56-50 rimfire ammo. Both have the 1874 Stetson's patent stamp and green labels. CONDITION: One is darker green with light soiling while the other has some paper loss on lid. Both have partial side seals. (B) 25 round box for the .56-52 Spencer as made by the Union Metallic Cartridge Company. CONDITION: Aprons are intact but corners are split. There are four copper cased cartridges intact. Cover is soiled with one spot of paper loss but does have side seals on all four sides partially intact. (C) Small UMC green label box that held 25 cast lead .44-520 Sharps patched bullets. Empty but clean. CONDITION: Cover showing some light age spotting with one partial side seal.

CAST IRON 2-POUNDER CANNON WITH NAVAL CARRAIGE.

Lot # 1288 (Sale Order: 284 of 595)      

Constructed of cast iron with decorative bands and a flared muzzle, this gun measures approximately 37" from muzzle to cascabel. The smoothbore measures approximately 2 - 1/4" (2-pounder). The tube currently has a coat of black paint over some older oxidation. Touch hole is not open. Gun is accompanied by a wooden 4-wheel naval style carriage. Guns of this nature were popular as deck guns among 18th century pirates and organized naval forces. CONDITION: Fair. Gun retains the vast majority of its black paint. Bore shows heavy abrasion. Carriage appears to have been stored in the elements with significant dry rot. An impressive piece that would display well. This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.

GERMAN WWI KNIFE BY SOLINGEN WITH CHRISTMAS 1915 INSCRIPTION.

Lot # 1289 (Sale Order: 285 of 595)      

An interesting knife, manufactured by J.H. Becker, Solingen, and marked as such on the obverse blade. The knife features a 5 - 3/4" drop point blade with no ricasso. There is an inscription on the blade next to the maker that reads "Weihnachten 1915 vor Soissons" (Christmas 1915 from Soissons). The inscription is quite interesting as this knife was most likely carried by a German Soldier during World War I. Blade exhibits a moderate patina but still retains its shine in areas with scattered freckling. Stag grips remain intact and firmly secured to the tang with 3 pins on each side. The knife is complete with its leather scabbard that exhibits areas of creases and cracks. Belt loop and securing snap remain intact. CONDITION: Good. Blade Length: 5 - 3/4" Overall Length: 11 - 1/4"
