1907 Advertising Calendar Marysville Montana

Lot # 3125 (Sale Order: 198 of 571)      

An original calendar from 1907 from J.A. Shaffer General Merchant Marysville, Montana. records show that James Shaffer ran the mercantile starting in the late 1880's in Marysville. Marysville was a gold mining town with a population of over 3,000. Today it is a ghost town. Shaffer's Mercantile building still stands and is abandoned (see pics). The calendar is framed under glass and is in excellent original condition. The color lithograph depicts a pretty young girl in a fine dress and hat looking out from a railing of a steamship and is titled, "The Bride". All individual month pages are intact. The calendar measures 14.5" tall, 8.5" wide. The frame measures 19.5" tall, 13.5" wide.

Overall a couple very slight imperfections, otherwise very good condition. 11" x 13 1/2" 4) A hanging, embossed, die cut, highly detailed cardboard picture with a full calendar pad. Circa 1903. Very good condition. 10" x 15 1/2"
