Colt Model 1903 Type IV Pocket Hammerless Semi-Automatic Pistol, #504425, .32 ACP cal., blue finish, checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions, half-moon blade front and square-notched rear sight. Includes one unmarked blued steel magazine. Mfg'd 1931. Condition is fine, retaining approx. 93% blue, showing wear along the edges of the slide, few spots of thinning on the front and backstrap, intermittent freckles of mild patina and pitting. Factory lettering is clear. Grips shows moderate signs of age, with one more noticeable scrape to the right panel. Action operates smoothly, although this particular magazine is a little stiff coming in and out of the gun. Bore rates fine overall and is bright with well-defined rifling. Est.: $500-$700. Colt 1908 Pocket Hammerless Type III Semi-Automatic Pistol, #58249, .32 ACP cal., 3.75" barrel, matte gray finish, checkered walnut grips with silver Colt medallions, half-round blade front sight, "U"-notched rear sight, with one original magazine. Magazine base is marked "CAL. 380/COLT". Mfg'd 1922. Condition is fine overall. Pistol and magazine are gray and have an almost very lightly bead blasted type appearance. Nicely done with the factory markings still being clearly defined. There are a few surface blemishes and spots of mild pitting visible. Most noticeable is an impression to the back right edge of the frame. Grips are excellent with bright medallions. Action functions smoothly. Bore is bright with good rifling. Est.: $400-$600. Marked "MADE IN U.S.A./THE HIGH STANDARD MFG. CO. /NEW HAVEN CONN." on the left side of the barrel lug. Includes an original factory one-piece box with instruction manual and user information cards. Mfg'd 1947. Pistol is in near excellent overall condition, retaining approx. 96%-97% of the factory high gloss blue finish, with light wear at the muzzle and high point edge wear on the slide and frame. There is some loss of finish at the base of the rear grip strap and freckles of minor corrosion. Checkered walnut grips are in fine condition with minor indentations and rub marks. Factory markings are clear with "CONVERTED BY / COGSWELL & HARRISON LTD / LONDON" on left side of the frame. Mfg'd from 1942-1945. Revolver is in near excellent overall condition as refinished, retaining approx. 97%-98% reblued finish, with light marks. Cylinder shows leading edge wear and a faint index line. Right side of the frame retains a light S&W trademark, with British proofs on the frame and right side of the barrel. Grips are near excellent with sharp checkering, slightly proud at the backstrap. Mfg'd 1905. Pistol is in near fine overall condition, retaining approx. 80%-85% thinning finish with wear at the muzzle and edges, scattered light scratches and handling marks. Backstrap shows thinning finish drifting to dark patina. Front strap and trigger guard show thinning finish and spots of light oxidation. Trigger and safety display bright fire blued finish. There is a sharp Rampant Colt emblem at the left rear of the slide. Grips are in fine condition with minor marks and smoothing of the checkering. Action functions well. Barrel at the ejection port is marked "CAL .7mm65.", with Belgian proof and inspection stamps. Old import stamp "MADE IN BELGIUM" on right side of the slide. Colt Model 1903 Pocket Hammer Semi-Automatic Pistol, #22425, .38 ACP cal., 4.5" barrel, blue finish, checkered hard rubber Colt grips with "Rampant Colt" logo, round hammer spur, blade front sight, and "U"-notched rear sight. Includes one blued steel magazine. Base is marked "CAL. 38/COLT". Left side of the slide is marked "PATENTED/APR. 20, 1897. SEPT. 9, 1902" and "COLT'S PATENT FIRE ARMS MFG. CO./HARTFORD, CONN. U.S.A." Right side of the slide is marked "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". Slide is not numbered and has 19 serrations on each side. Mfg'd 1907. Pistol is in good overall condition, retaining approx. 30% factory blue, showing general thinning and toning with general salt and pepper blemishes, and spots of freckling. Factory lettering is legible. There is a small chip missing from the bottom, inner edge of the right grip. Otherwise, both are very good showing moderate handling wear. Action operates smoothly. Bore is primarily bright with a little mild frosting; rifling is good. Magazine shows age and wear that is consistent with the overall condition of the pistol. Est.: $500-$700. (C&R/PPT)...more
