1956 Penn Yan Sealiner 16 ft

In great condition, this Sealiner was one of Penn Yans bigger boats at the time and built to the same high standards of construction consistent across their product line. New Simmons Sea Skiff 18 ft

Lot # 003 (Sale Order: 2 of 20)      

This is a newly launched (2024) Simmons Sea Skiff 18. The Simmons Sea Skiff has been around since 1946 originally designed and built but Tom Simmons of North Carolina. Its design works for ocean to backwater cruising. In the early 2000’s The Army Corp of Engineers maintained 3 of these for use coastwise surveys and similar needs. Thousands of these have been built by Tom Simmons as well as professional and owner builds. This vessel is built with old growth Fir frames support marine plywood planks and bottom. Both the bottom and deck are covered in 6oz fiberglass in West System. All connections are glued with 3M 5200. All build fasteners are bronze, all fixtures are Stainless Steel fastened. The center console is a pontoon boat aluminum item adapted for use in this boat for strength to weight accommodation. The battery box is aluminum built by the owner/builder. The majority of the trim is South American Mahogany bedded in Sitkaflex 221. The rail assembly is white oak also bedded in Sitkaflex and capped with stainless steel half oval. The fuel tank is 11 gallon aluminum cased in marine plywood and mahogany. There is anchor storage under the bow seat. 2 bilge pumps, one below deck and one in a well on deck provide redundant discharge of splash or rainwater. Lighting is LED as well as dash indicators. There is blue under rail lighting for boarding after dark. The motor is a 2023 Toshiba 30 HP remote controlled steering and controls. It has one hour runtime. The Trailer is a 2003 Loadrite Bandit in Very good condition with nominal use/

1962 Century Resorter 17 ft

Lot # 021 (Sale Order: 8 of 20)      

One of the last wooden boats built by Century, this Resorter has a 238 hp Gray Marine V8 engine, red and white upholstery, and a modern Windsor trailer. It has been owned by the same family for 46 years and has been in storage for the last 20. It will need some work to get it back on the water, such as, tightening and or strengthening or replacing the bottom, fixing minor hull side damage, and draining the old gas from the tank. Note that the motor turns freely, transom and side planks were replaced, and transmission has been rebuilt. A boat cover, convertible top, stereo, and bilge pump are included.

This canoe is in excellent condition and has been in the same family for its whole life, almost 100 years! It was totally restored in 1998 and is in current use. The canoe includes the original passenger back rest which could elevate the wooing to woo-woo. This is a beautiful, rare, piece of art, yet still a practical and fun boat for the family.

2002 Hunter daysailer with galvanized trailer. A fun, quick boat with a very roomy cockpit and an open transom. All sails are in good condition and include a rarely use...mored spinnaker kit. The boat features a roller furling jib, retractable centerboard, bow and mainsail covers, and full-length cockpit cushions. The hull below the rub rail is solid, but there are a few stress cracks in the topside that need attention. Storage cover and manual also included.

1962 Lyman Runabout 22ft

This vessel was built in 1962. It has a length of 20 feet and 6 inches, a beam ranging from 7 to 8 feet, and a draft of 2 feet and 2 inches. The dry weight of the vessel is 2,600 pounds.

The material used for construction is wood. The hull and decks are made of 3/8 inch 5-ply marine plywood planking. Structural components include a white oak keel, knees, stem, and other parts. The hull is lap strake (clinker-built) for a tight seal. Cockpit sealing boards are made from Philippine Mahogany.

The propulsion system features a Graymarine Fireball V8C-178 model with 178 horsepower, originally from the year 1962 and rebuilt in 2004. It has 260 hours of operation. The fuel tank capacity is 38 gallons of gas. It is equipped with dual side-draft carburetors. The transmission is a Borg-Warner Velvet Drive. The propeller is a 3-blade bronze 13x10, and it has a bronze rudder.

The electrical system was completely rewired in 2024. It operates on a 12 volt DC system and has a 75 amp alternator. It includes two group 31 Interstate batteries, new as of 2023. There is also a solar battery charger installed in 2023. Additional electrical components include a windshield wiper, running lights, a horn, and two electric bilge pumps with quick-swappable spares. There are Bennett trim tabs and a bilge blower.

The boat is equipped with bronze cleats that were new in 2024. It has a Kenwood stereo CD player with four speakers and a subwoofer, also new in 2024. There are seat and engine cover vinyl cushions as well as vinyl backrest pads. For emergency equipment, there is a Shaw & Tenney emergency paddle and a Shaw & Tenney boat hood/boarding pole. Additionally, it has a bow and stern flag staff with flags, four fenders with custom covers, and four mooring lines along with six dock lines. Navigation is aided by a magnetic compass. Anchoring equipment includes a 12 lb Danforth anchor, a 10-foot chain, and a 50-foot anchor line. Transport is supported by a custom C-Hawk dual axle bunk-type trailer with an electric brake and custom finish, which was new in 2012. Canvas coverings include a Bimini, a full mooring cover, and a storage cover, all in red. There is also a custom dock mat and blanket....more
