The material used for construction is wood. The hull and decks are made of 3/8 inch 5-ply marine plywood planking. Structural components include a white oak keel, knees, stem, and other parts. The hull is lap strake (clinker-built) for a tight seal. Cockpit sealing boards are made from Philippine Mahogany.
The propulsion system features a Graymarine Fireball V8C-178 model with 178 horsepower, originally from the year 1962 and rebuilt in 2004. It has 260 hours of operation. The fuel tank capacity is 38 gallons of gas. It is equipped with dual side-draft carburetors. The transmission is a Borg-Warner Velvet Drive. The propeller is a 3-blade bronze 13x10, and it has a bronze rudder.
The electrical system was completely rewired in 2024. It operates on a 12 volt DC system and has a 75 amp alternator. It includes two group 31 Interstate batteries, new as of 2023. There is also a solar battery charger installed in 2023. Additional electrical components include a windshield wiper, running lights, a horn, and two electric bilge pumps with quick-swappable spares. There are Bennett trim tabs and a bilge blower.
The boat is equipped with bronze cleats that were new in 2024. It has a Kenwood stereo CD player with four speakers and a subwoofer, also new in 2024. There are seat and engine cover vinyl cushions as well as vinyl backrest pads. For emergency equipment, there is a Shaw & Tenney emergency paddle and a Shaw & Tenney boat hood/boarding pole. Additionally, it has a bow and stern flag staff with flags, four fenders with custom covers, and four mooring lines along with six dock lines. Navigation is aided by a magnetic compass. Anchoring equipment includes a 12 lb Danforth anchor, a 10-foot chain, and a 50-foot anchor line. Transport is supported by a custom C-Hawk dual axle bunk-type trailer with an electric brake and custom finish, which was new in 2012. Canvas coverings include a Bimini, a full mooring cover, and a storage cover, all in red. There is also a custom dock mat and blanket.
