A collection of Soviet Cold War headgear and edged weapons. 1) Type 1 bayonet for AKM likely Romanian manufacture. Both knife and scabbard are matching and marked SC 2001. Wear is typical of surplus material. Dimensions: 13”x2.5”x1.5”. 2) A 6x2 bayonet for early AK-47. Soviet Russian/Bulgarian Cold War manufacture. Mark on tang, obscured. Electro pencil “3608” near base. Scabbard has surface rust on parts of metal. In good overall condition. Dimensions: Blade 7.75” long. Overall12.75” x 2” x 1.5” in scabbard. 3) Soviet army “pilotka” field cap. Khaki fabric with enamel Soviet Red Star emblem on the front. Maker's Mark on interior lining with additional Cyrillic writing likely name of wearer. Dimensions: 11”x5”. 4) Soviet TSH-4M tanker helmet. Made of gray padded fabric, with ridges along the top for impact protection. Soft lining. Padded ear coverings, housing communication equipment. This particular example is dated 1985. In good, surplus condition. Dimensions 8”x12”x9”. 5) Papakha hat, size 58. Grey wool, satin lining, During WWII these were exclusively worn by officers of the Soviet armed forces. This hat style is also closely associated with imperial Russian uniforms and people of the Caucuses. This particular example is likely post-Cold War manufacture. Used, but in very good condition. A mixed grouping of WWI associated objects. 1) M1917 wooden ammunition box for the Browning Water Cooled Machine Gun. Stripped of its olive drab paint down to the bare oak, this ammo box is in fairly complete condition. A few screws missing on the latch mechanism. Leather carrying handle missing which can be easily replaced. Dimensions 4.5" x 8" x 12.5". 2) Four sets of wooden cleaning rods. Each set has 4 rods that screw into each other with brass fixtures. Each segment approximately measures between 12.5" and 14". Various heads. See pictures. 3) Newspaper. The New York Herald. European Edition. March 15, 1919. Distributed by the American Y.M.C.A. Four pages of news, that doughboys "Over There" would have read every word of. Fair condition, stable enough to read and display. 12" x18" folded.

2 WWII USN B-4 "Mae West" Inflatable life preserver vests. These original 1943 and 1944 dated vests were what was issued to U.S. Navy aviators during World War 2. These vests were also used by US Army Paratroopers for the D-Day invasion. Both vests are in good cosmetic condition for their age, with the only damage visible being some stains and rubber damage to bite/inflation valves. Great for re-enactors or display. See photos.

Used by the US Navy is this pair of Post WWII 3" 50 Cal MK7 and MK9 shell casings. Both are copper alloy, with one being of later manufacture. Shell #1) Marked on base: "3 IN 50-CAL MK 7-MOD-0-N S-2-1948 D.C.M. U.S. LOT-25" Primer stamped: "MK 42-1 6 49 LOT 38M". Stenciled on side of shell:" ASSEMBLED WITH ELECTRIC PRIMER and "FLASHLESS" #2) Marked on base: Obscured by surface oxidation, but likely “MK 9” almost visible. Primer stamped:”MK 42-2 11 53 LOT 153 M” Stenciled on side of shell: “PK-GL2-F3-R ELECTRIC PRIMER and FLASHLESS”. Both have dings and dents from handling and use. Dimensions for both: 22 15/16" long. Base diameters approximately 4.5". Each weigh approximately 6.8 lbs.

This is a great collection of US Army coats that show the evolution from the M1909 coat pattern to the M1917 wartime coat pattern. 1) US M1917 Enlisted pattern wool service coat. Size 38 Long (tag on inner collar). 5 blackened brass buttons down front Marked “R. Liebmann Co Newark NJ”. Lining present with stamps in ink inside: “6198”, “2388L”, “61”. Manufacturers tag at bottom hem: “J.N. Susskind & Co. Contract June 28, 1917. Specification No 1160 Philadelphia Depot Q.M.C. “. Excellent condition. 2) US M1909 Enlisted pattern cotton service coat. Falling collar design. Last variation of the M1902 coat before the M1910 standardization. Olive drab color, with the green really showing well on inside. Two sewn grommet holes on each side of collar for insignia. Shoulder straps have rimless eagle buttons. No buttons present down front. Four flap closure billowing pockets. Inside of coat lining stamped “4-1/2” in ink over both lower pockets. Cursive “9595” written in center. Looks like it was never issued. In superb condition. Small coat. No size markings. 17” across at shoulders, 28” tall. A nice early and rare uniform coat. 3) US M1910 Enlisted pattern cotton service coat. SGT stripes on each sleeve. Standing collar design. Shoulder straps and front are rimless eagle buttons. Olive drab color, with the green showing more so on inside. Small coat. No size markings. 16” across at shoulders. 26” tall. 4) US M1910 Enlisted pattern cotton service coat. SSGT stripes on each sleeve. Standing collar design. HUGE 48 Star American Flag, WWII Coats

1) Huge 48 star woven United States Flag (in use 1912-1959). Measuring approximately 139” x 82” (11’7” x 6’10”), this would be an impressive sight to see waving high above, or in this phase of its existence, on a wall and properly supported. It has had several period repairs made to it, looking to extend its useful life. There are noticeable holes, tears and discolorations in the fabric showing its use. Could have been flown as early as 1912 and as late as 1959. 2) US Army Air Force Ike Jacket. Size 40 S tag at neck. Written in ink below loop “J-G 415” No other marks on the jacket. Master Sergeant shoulder sleeve ranks on both sleeves (with blue background for Army Air Force). A very clean, barely worn jacket. Dimension: 22” wide x 24” long. 3) USMC Overcoat, double breasted, plastic buttons. Fits 185lb individual comfortably. PFC rank insignia on left sleeve below 2nd Marine Division patch. Inside sleeve linings marked with name, inside right sleeve armpit : stamped “J.H. SHNEIDER” and written “J.H.S.” in black ink. Inside left sleeve armpit: stamped “J.H. SHNEIDER” several times. In blue ink is stamped “QUARTERMASTER DEP.T. US MARINE CORPS 1942-1943”(or 8) and “4S” below.

In good condition, with stitching coming apart (5” long) at base. On a positive note, this allows you to see the interior structure of the vest-perfect for educators! Name “COATES” written in black marker on front right above pocket and back of neck. Dimensions: 22”x22”x4” when flat. The Marine Corps' M1955 flak jacket replaced their M1952 body armor that was developed during the Korean War. The vest had a zip front closure, an integral cartridge belt holder for attaching equipment and a rifle guard over the right shoulder. 2) US M1Helmet and removable liner. Mitchell pattern reversible helmet cover. The Mitchell pattern helmet cover was introduced in 1959 and was used by Marines and Army troops throughout the Vietnam War. Natural off-white color fur, seal brown exterior. Cowhide russet layered sleeves and front pockets. Natural cowhide belting with buckles. Heavy duty zipper. Goatskin trim over seams. Cold War US Army Tanker Boots

Pair of vintage black leather tanker boots. Black leather upper, "Biltrite" heavy duty sole, cut heel.. "Herman Shoes and Boots" tag on tongue of left boot. Triple wrap around strap and double buckle securing. Size 8EE. The tanker boot was "designed by Dehner Footwear Co's H. E. Ketzler and General George S. Patton Jr. in 1937" who "wanted something easy and fast to get on." Regular combat boots are laced through metal eyelets in the leather upper, but the tanker boots are fastened with leather straps which wrap around the upper and buckle near the top.

Hand painted wooden model of P-38 fighter plane "Putt Putt Maru" of Charles H. "Mac" MacDonald, C.O. 475th Fighter Group. He achieved his 27th Kill on 13 March 1945. The model was presented to him and has an inscription in black sharpie written on the underside of the rear tail wing. It reads: "From the 475th Group sq. 431/432/433 to "Mac" Best Wishes" Overall condition good. Comes with stand, and chronicle of MacDonald's service history, updated June 2011.

Four x no size, two x 32" waists; one x 33" waist; three x 34" waists; one x38"reg; two x reg/small and one x medium/regular. . All are in good condition commensurate with age. 4 trouser belts w/ brass buckles, varied condition. No holes or cuts in webbing. There are 4 windbreaker jackets: Two are USMC focused. Dark navy blue, large and medium sizes. One Honor Flight windbreaker, dark navy blue. Satin white US Army Reserve Shooting Team Brisbane Australia 1990. Large size. The last item is a very clean, warm, and large 1950's US Army trench coat, with a removable wool liner. A couple of easily replaced broken buttons. Stay warm at the 38th Parallel!
