Copy Luftwaffe General’s Sword

Lot # 403 (Sale Order: 402 of 511)      

Luftwaffe Generals Sword having a 31-5/8" straight etched blade of floral scrolls & fire-blued panels with gold inlaid lettering: Un dankbarer Anerkennung and Der Ober befehlshaber der Luftwaffe Hermann Goring. Ricasso marked: Original Eickhorn/Solingen. Gilt brass hilt with folding clam shell guard. Silver Luftwaffe eagle mounted on clamshell. Yellow celluloid spiral silver wire-wrapped grip. Black leather scabbard with gilded brass mounts. A beautiful, well made copy of an extremely rare sword.

Condition:
Excellent overall with some loss of gilt finish at edges.

31-1/2" slightly curved polished steel blade, ricasso marked: Alcasson AC/S Solingen. Gilt-finished stirrup hilt with Reich eagle guard and lion's head pommel. Faux ruby eyes. Aluminum bullion sword knot and leather tape. Black enameled steel scabbard with single hanger ring. 


Condition:
Good. Blade with light wear and patina. 10% gilt remains with thinning at relief areas. Heavy wear to leather tape. Scabbard with scattered wear and rust frosting. Portapee with tear and loss of stitching.

German Third Reich Army Ordnance Sword and Scabbard

Lot # 406 (Sale Order: 405 of 511)      

31-3/4" slightly curved nickel-plated single fuller blade, ricasso marked: Alexander Coppel Solingen. Un-decorated gilt-finished stirrup hilt with Reich eagle guard and plain pommel. Guard also with eagle 118 proofmarks and AC/G 6829.  Wire-wrapped black composition grip. Sold together with blued steel scabbard with single hanger ring. Throat also marked AC/G and with eagle 118 proofs.

Condition:
Very good to fine. Excellent bright blade. Minor handling wear to knuckle bow and guard. Moderate wear to scabbard with losses to finish.

Wire wrapped black composition grip. Sold together with black enameled scabbard with single hanger ring.






Condition:
Very good to fine. Blade excellent with minor handling marks. 5% gilt remains in relief edges. Guard and grip fine. Scabbard showing moderate wear, scratches and losses to finish.

Fine. Blade is excellent. Minor looseness to wire wrap. 99%+ gilt remains. Scabbard with numerous scratches and chips.

Comprising: 1) 16 assorted German maps of Europe, most dating from 1930s-40s. Most are by Michelin and are fold-outs with highly detailed features. 2) 12 assorted booklets in German on geography of Europe and other countries. 3) Large group of approximately 175 war-dated letters from soldat Rott to Frau Anna Rott. Dates run from 1939-1944. 4) Approximately 50 assorted German and European war-dated maps used by Rott.  5) Small pocket notebook containing notes kept by Rott. 6) 1933 dated scrapbook kept by Rott as a teenager. Basically a annotated notebook on panzers with tank photos clipped from magazines and publications. 7) Two booklets on family geneaology of soldat Rott and frau Rott. 8) Rott's immigration and family papers. 9) Metal map frame. 10) Assorted other related ephemera.

German Army Officer Dagger Rig

Lot # 412 (Sale Order: 411 of 511)      

Army Officer's Dagger, hangers and knot; blade is plated and maker marked Julius Krebs; dark yellow composition grip with plated pommel and crossguard that match; knot in proper-tie; matching scabbard with green wool backed brocade hangers.



Condition:
Very good overall with bright blade having some edge wear, dings and scratches. Tip of blade is blunted. Dark patina to pommel and crossguard. Grip is loose due to shrinkage as pommel nut is tight. Knot with some fraying. Scabbard is dark with some plating loss and corrosion to lower third. Hangers are frayed at top pulling through metal hanger. 30% silver finish remaining to hangers.

Fine. Boots showing minor wear and scuffs overall. Sole of right boot with lateral crack in rubber. Spurs with light wear and patina. Minor corrosion on rowels.
