Pre-WWI Lee-Medford/Enfield Pattern 1888 MK1 Type 2 Bayonet, by Sanderson. Double edged, blued blade measures 12''. With an overall length of 16-3/4''. Left side of the ricasso is marked ''Sanderson, Sheffield'', and dated ''3/93'', with various inspectors marks. The right side is marked ''WD'' war department and ''X'' bending test mark. Wood grips attached by two brass rivets with an oil clearance hole behind the second rivet. Pommel is marked ''3 LEIN/530/SR.'' Condition is very good as arsenal refinished. Blade with areas of scattered light pitting. Grips with oil darkening. Bayonet catch mechanism remains tight and functions properly. No scabbard. Est.: $50-100....more
