Jim Henson "Spruce Springsteen" Parody Muppet

Lot # 1533 (Sale Order: 521 of 623)      

Lot consists of an "Spruce Springsteen" Muppet, created to be auctioned off for the "Night of 100 Trees". Auctioned of in 1988, this Muppet was a Christmas Parody of Bruce Springsteen. The base was designed by freelancer Karl Wendelin, andfeatured pictures of the Muppets as musical celebrities from Muppet Magazine, including Kermit as Michael Jackson & Bruce Springsteen, Miss Piggy as Madonna & Janice as Tina Turner. This piece also includes three small snowmen, which are rebuilt Doozers, flocked and painted for the occassion. There is a sewn in tag on the back which is hand signed by Jim Henson. When plugged in, piece did not work. Overall approx. 70" high x 21" wide.

Beatles, Hand Painted Album Cover Art Painting

Large 6 feet x 6 feet Beatles Painting. We have been told that this item came from Capitol Records as a promo for the 1976 Album, "The Beatles - Rock N Roll Music". This painting is the cover art to that album. It was at the New York Beatles Fest in April 1977, and sold for $5000 to Angela Graziadei who passed away in January 2009. No signature present. Very large and unusual piece. Some paint scuffed areas.
