According to the Savage Arms Collectors Association serial number database, this Model 1907 pistol was produced in 1919. SPECS: Full coverage polished nickel-plated finish, black molded plastic checkered grips with Savage logo embossed on each side, 3.75" barrel, fixed groove rear sight, fixed blade front sight, serrated semi-concealed hammer, checkered thumb safety/ slide stop and 10-round magazine. CONDITION: This pistol is in beautiful re-finished condition with very light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Savage Model 1907 pocket pistol was produced from 1907-1920. It was chambered in 32 ACP with 380 ACP offered from 1913 - 1920. It is often mistakenly referred to as the "Model 1905" because of the Nov. 21, 1905, date stamped on the top of the slide. This is the date Elbert Searle was awarded one of his firearm patents which were the design basis for all Savage semi-automatic pistols. Advertised with the slogan "Ten shots quick!", the Model 1907 was very popular because, despite its small size, it had a 10-round double-stack magazine. The advertising included a number of early celebrity endorsers including William "Buffalo Bill" Cody, Bat Masterson, and the Pinkerton Agency. Savage Arms also presented Teddy Roosevelt with a Model 1907. Much of the advertising in the popular press played on the ability of an otherwise defenseless woman to use the Savage to subdue burglars and "tramps". SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders. PLEASE READ ALL TERMS BEFORE PARTICIPATING: There is no live crowd, no phone bidding, no left bids and we do not accept payment through the mail.
