According to the date code "AN" on the left side of the frame, this percussion revolver was produced in Italy in 1985, and was then imported & sold in the U.S. by Richland Arms Co. SPECS: Steel frame & straps with polished brass finish, 12" octagon barrel with ramped square blade front sight, adjustable u-notch rear sight, smooth walnut grips, serrated stainless steel hammer and 6-shot cylinder. CONDITION: This revolver is in nice condition with some various light wear, has an excellent sharp/ clean bore and appears to be in good working order. HISTORY: The Remington New Model Army revolver was used during the U.S. Civil War and in the American West. It was favored for its durability and was often seen in the hands of individuals on the frontier, including outlaws like Frank and Jesse James. The Remington 1875 (also known as the Frontier Army) was a successor to the New Army, further solidifying Remington's presence in the frontier market. Its history in Texas is intertwined with its use by both the Confederacy and the U.S. Army during the war and also by the Texas Rangers later on. SHIPPING - We offer free shipping anywhere within the continental US. All firearms must be sent to an FFL (or C&R if applicable) regardless of age or caliber. This includes antiques & muzzleloaders.
