Markings: The left side of the barrel is marked “25-06”. The original receiver is marked “JB6985” and “Deutsche Waffen – Und / Munitions Fabriken. Berlin”.

Sights / Optics: This rifle has no iron sights. It is topped with a Leupold VX-1 2x-7x variable power scope featuring duplex crosshairs. The glass is clear with no cracks or obstructions, only minor dust. The body of the scope shows no dents or significant wear, and it sits on a set of quick-detach rings and a solid base. The scope is in Excellent condition.
Stock Configuration & Condition: The stock is a finely crafted, checkered high-grade walnut with a stunning grain pattern, a sculpted cheek piece, a dark wood forend tip, and a pistol grip cap bearing the monogram “JB” (for John Breeding, father of Ryan Breeding). Fit and finish are exceptional, with only minor surface marks, primarily on the right side and cheek piece. The checkering remains sharp, and the craftsmanship is top-tier. The LOP measures 14 1/8” from the front of the trigger to the back of the “Old English” recoil pad. The stock rates in about Fine overall condition.

Finish Originality: Custom-applied by the Breeding family; the receiver finish appears original.
Bore Condition: The bore is bright, the rifling is sharp. There is no visible erosion in the bore . In this writer’s opinion, the bore rates 9/10.
Overall Condition: This rifle retains about 95% of its metal finish. The finish is strong across the barrel and receiver, with some thinning and discoloration on the bolt handle and magazine floorplate. The balance of the metal remains sharp and clean, with minimal signs of use beyond those mentioned. The screw heads are hex-type and sharp. All markings are clear and legible. Overall, this rifle rates in about Fine to Excellent condition.
Mechanics: The action functions correctly with an incredibly crisp trigger pull measuring under 2 pounds. The rifle operates smoothly and precisely. We did not fire this rifle. As with all used firearms, a thorough cleaning may be necessary to meet your maintenance requirements.
Box, Paperwork & Accessories: This rifle includes a leather sling showing light wear and age discoloration. Also included is the mounted Leupold VX-1 2x-7x scope with quick-detach rings and base.
