Antique, full bodied Harness & Saddle Shop Display Horse, circa 1880s, stands 15-2, 85" long. Ears are made of lead and are removable, front lower jaw is made to be remo...moreved so bits can be placed, glass eyes, actual horse hair tail, which is removable and mounted on a lead plug. Actual horse hair mane is still attached to horse hide. We believed this horse to be made by an early Tin Smith. Metal and composition frame of horse is covered in plaster, mounted on an early wooden base that at one time was mounted with cast iron rollers that are no longer with it. This early horse was on display at one time at the Dan Hardesty Museum, Franklin, PA.

On opposite side are four storage drawers in skirt. Glass top is designed to slide out for easy lay out of your collection and cleaning. This piece would be excellent for displaying a large number of firearms, arrowheads, pocket knives, watches, jewelry. Case stands on 6 tapered legs with brass foot caps. Great quality!

Collection of six Daguerreotype / Tintype / Ambrotype Cases to include: (1) 1/6-plate Daguerreotype of Antebellum man in hexagon thermoplastic case. Image is weak with ...moreonly discernable feature being his face. However, case is Great; tight hinges, high relief decorated front and rear, 3 5/16" x 3 3/4". (2) 1/6-plate Tintype in thermo plastic case with tight hinges and latch. Image shows a young boy in white, probably dressed for his First Communion or other religious event, he has a rosette pinned to his chest, with a gem sized image of another youth. Case has a burgundy color felt pad that is somewhat loose. Case has a nice relief geometric design to both sides. (3) Double cased, 1/9-plate Ambrotypes of ______and Elliott Ware, born January 1851. Names are penciled and scratched on reverse of each. Both are housed in a thermo-plastic case, 3" x 4 3/4". Case has tight hinges and functional latch with intact burgundy color velvet pad. Top has a high relief motif of woman and child holding a cat & dog, edges have minor chipping. (4) 1/9-plate thermoplastic image case with intact burgundy color velvet pad, lacks gilt frame & glass-never had one, tight double hinges & functional latch. Both front & rear have nice floral pattern motifs, no damage, sharp corners. (5) 1/9-plate photograph of a child wearing a kepi and overcoat. Comes in leatherette case with original ch hinge that is broken and single latch. (6) Fine 1/9-plate ruby Ambrotype of a young girl seated in chair. Her hair hangs in wet looking ringlets and she stares pensively at the camera. Housed in a full case with broken spine. Will be sold 6 x the bid. Hardesty Estate.

Has the correct "Frazier Patent" cartouches, original and tight hinges,...more brass finial and closing strap with brass escutcheon plate. Rear has both intact leather belt loops. Front has correct "NG" oval brass plate for "National Guard". Overall leather has no cracks or crazing. Cartridge Box will be accompanied by an early brass frame Carriage Clock by Waterbury Clock Co., Pat'd January 13, 1891. Spring driven movement with bell alarm, 4 3/8" T x 3" W x 2 1/2" D. Collection of five Daguerreotype / Tintype / Ambrotype Cases to include: (1) Double cased, 1/6-plate Ambrotypes of antebellum man and woman (husband / wife?). Well dress...moreed couple, woman has hair done in ringlets and wears a single strand of pearls above her collar brooch. Very clear and distinct images housed in a thermo plastic case with tight hinges and functional latch. Case has fancy, high relief cameo centers with borders, there is a tiny chip in top right corner on front. (2) 1/6-plate ruby Ambrotype of seated Gentleman in coat and vest, nice gold gilt frame and glass front, housed in a medium brown thermo plastic case with high relief woman and child to front & grapes with leaves on rear. Tight hinges & functional latch, case has slight discoloration but no breaks. (3) 1/6-plate, unadorned image of a Union Soldier in frock coat, though there is gilt trim to the collar and buttons. Housed in a thermo plastic case with burgundy color velvet lining, tight hinges and latch. Exterior has bumped corners, no cracks and nice high relief design. (4) 1/4-plate thermo plastic case with Daguerreotype of two women. Case has tight double hinges. Exterior has high relief bordered image of nobleman with horse being helpful to a peasant family with their dog, 4 1/8" x 5". (5) 1/6-plate, sealed Ambrotype of antebellum Gentleman wearing a large cravat, has some losses at collar and sleeve. Patriotic National Colors Lapel Ribbon is pinned inside case opposite the image. Comes in a fancy, embossed wood case that's separated at the spine. Will be sold 5 x the bid. Hardesty Estate.
