Truly Museum Quality Rare Laminated Rosewood double chair back highly carved Settee attributed to early New York Cabinet Maker, Charles Baudouine (1808-1895). Born in New...more York of Huguenot ancestry, Baudouine was first listed as a cabinetmaker in the New York City Directory of 1829-30, working at 508 Pearl St. Baudouine was considered one of the most talented cabinet makers to have worked in the New York post Duncan Phyfe era. An elaborate carver of Rococo Revival style to the likeness of Belter & Meeks cabinet makers. His multi-storied cabinet shop is located at 1181 Broadway, Manhattan, New York City. His shop closed around 1856, four years prior to the Civil War. Pierce carved Rosewood, double chair back Settee with solid Rosewood backs and what is possibly its original fabric. Settee measures 81" L x 46" T to top of chair backs x 41" T at center. Pierce carved arms and floral carving across the front. The frame of this settee is strong and solid. Originally sat in the Texas home of the late Mrs. Patricia C. Isom for more than 50 years and at one time was on display during the "Antique Roadshow" at the Dallas, Texas Convention Center, June 28, 2008. According to a letter of Provenance from the daughter of Mrs. Isom, experts on Victorian Furniture Brian Witherell, Greg Knowles and Larry Jackson were all of the opinion this Settee was made by Charles Baudouine.

In pri...morestine condition with hand carved gallery crest. When opened it displays many cubby hole areas and many pull out drawers and beautiful Burl Walnut pull out writing table. When closed Desk measures 28" D x 42" W x 67" T. When opened at a 98 degree angle it is 58" W. N.B. Joseph Moore was the General Manager of the Wooten Manufacturing Co., in 1876, but by 1878 he had patented his own cabinet desk in Indianapolis, Ind. and began working in competition with Wooten. These desks were manufactured with either a brass gallery top or a carved wooden gallery top, this having the wooden gallery and the most desirable. Gallery crest is designed to lift off for easy handling.

ATTENTION COLLECTORS OF HISTORICAL HENRY RIFLES: Outstandin...moreg Deluxe, silver washed, engraved and monogrammed Henry Rifle, SN 2386, produced during the civil war era in 1862. Engraved in the style of L.D. Nimschke by a currently unknown master engraver, in fine condition with all marked and numbered parts properly identified. There may be a possible attribution to both Louis D. Nimschke as the engraver and a Winchester family member, Caleb Thomas Winchester as the recipient of this fine, one of a kind Deluxe Henry Rifle. This Rifle, SN 2386, is accompanied by outstanding provenance and possibilities compiled by noted author, researcher and historian R. L. Wilson. A copy of Mr. Wilson's 23 page, extensive research document will be made available to interested parties upon request-prior to the auction, and will accompany this fine Henry Rifle. Mr. Wilson was so impressed by this Henry that he stated it would be featured in his upcoming third edition of Winchester Engraving. This Rifle, .44 cal., 24" octagon barrel, rich aged patina on receiver with light silver finish visible, and smooth aged brown patina on barrel. The wood to metal fit is excellent. All original markings are clear and sharp. The action is flawless and the bore is very fine. This unique Henry is fine enough for anyone's collection!! ATTENTION COLLECTORS OF WINCHESTER RIFLES: Fan...moretastic Antique Winchester 1873 Rifle, SN 380668B in .32 WCF caliber aka .32-20 caliber. Manufactured circa 1891. This is a standard 24” octagon barrel rifle with a full length magazine and crescent butt plate. The walnut stocks are in excellent condition with very minor scratches from light usage. The action functions properly and the bore is excellent. Most of the original blue finish remains with minor loss in high edge wear. The hammer shows strong case colors, with the lever showing darker, muted color. The dust cover is intact and functional. The butt plate has minor corrosion that will likely clean. The wood to metal fit is excellent. All factory applied markings are clear and sharp. There is a flip up tang sight that is elevation adjustable. A real keeper!

This is a standard 24” octagon barrel rifle with a f...moreull length magazine and crescent butt plate. The walnut stocks are in good condition with normal scratches and dings from period usage. The wood to metal fit is excellent. The action functions properly and the bore is good. A high percentage of the original blue finish remains with less on the magazine tube. There is scattered minor corrosion in various areas. The dust cover is intact and functional. The hammer shows strong case colors, with the lever showing darker, muted color. The butt plate has minor corrosion.

A Rare, one of a kind Pair of Leather Wild West Chaps once belonging to Wild West Performer Johhny Baker (1869-1931), (Buffalo Bill's Foster Son). Chaps are in totally un...moretouched condition with the initials "J.B." on front of right belt with the number "16" on the left belt, which would be his performer number. Chaps have a single outside pocket with a hand painted buffalo. Lower portion has the stars and stripes with the name "Johnny Baker." Outside borders are dressed with latigo strings and leather buttons. NOTE: Attached to the inside of right chap is a paper label that reads "Property of J. Baker/Pahaska Tepee/Buffalo Bill's Memorial Museum/Lookout Mountain/Golden, Colorado", Museum Display. These Chaps will be accompanied by the Book titled " Life and Adventures of Buffalo Bill" by Colonel Wiliam F. Cody. Book is Published By Mrs. "Johnny" Baker/Lookout Mountain, Golden, Colorado, Copyright 1939. Inside fly leaf is signed "Mrs. Johnny Baker/Foster Daughter-In-Law/Buffalo Bill". Also included are two pages of short history of the relationship between Johnny Baker and Buffalo Bill. These two Items WILL BE SOLD AS ONE LOT.

Antique Winchester 1886 Rifle, SN 46616 in .45-70 caliber. Manufactured circa 1890. This is a standard 26” octagon barrel rifle with a full length magazine and crescent...more butt plate. The walnut stocks appear to have been lightly sanded but are otherwise in good condition with minor bumps and dings. The wood to metal fit is excellent. The caliber marking on the barrel slightly stamped. All other markings are clear and sharp. The action functions properly and the bore is very good. There is a nice amount of thinning blue on the barrel and tube with more in protected areas. There is light scattered corrosion on the barrel. The case color frame, hammer, lever and butt plate have turned mostly dark. The top of the bolt retains bright blue finish.

The walnut stocks are in very good condition with very minor scratches. The wood to metal fit is excellent. All factory applied markings are clear and sharp. The action functions properly and the bore is very good. There is a generous amount of thinning blue on the barrel, tube and frame with less on the right side of the frame. The hammer and lever have visible case colors. The butt plate has turned mostly dark. The top of the bolt retains bright blue finish. This carbine has been kept in the wall mounted case for many years that will sell as Lot 68B in this auction. (MODERN)
