Fantastic museum quality Native American Artifact collection. Arrow points span from the Archaic and Paleo periods to the Woodland and Mississippian periods. Points are of assorted origins and grades, most with authentications. This auction includes Clovis points, bannerstones, calf creek, turkey tail points, Gunther, Dovetail, Dalton, Haskell, Hornstone, Toyah, trade beads, axe heads and so much more!

This is a massive one owner private Native American Artifact Collection. The entire collection has been sent in to multiple sources over the years for authentication and grading. We have pictured the authentication and grading certificate with the items. This is part one of two sales. Part I will be a no reserve sale and everything will be sold to the highest bidder. Part II will have a handful of reserves on special items, however, the reserves will be set very low and everything will certainly sell.

Material: Translucent, gray & black, agate. Reported Origin: Found along the Columbia River in Oregon. Length: 1-1/8". Width: 5/8". Grade: 9+. This is a very small, paper...more thin, triangular point that has a needle sharp tip with bullet straight blade edges. Barbs are sharp & expand downward near the baseline. The stem is squared with parallel sides. The once straight basal edge is now convoluted due to ancient us-wear. Well crafted with a nice, naturally aged patina. Correct ghosting veil and surface gloss. Good sorption of mineraAls & authigenic accumulations noted. Authenticated by Butler.

The stem is expanding & rectangular with parallel sides & a concave basal edge. Correct patina for age. Good hinge staining & authigenic accumulations. Known to be hafted into a double pointed spear & carried in ceremonial dances that included "The Deer Dance" which was supposed to bring good luck in their hunts. Authenticated by Butler.

Wealth Blade- Developmental ot Present

Two authentications: The first authentication is by Butler as follows: 1,200 B.P. to Present. Material: Burned, black, Obsidian. Origin: Reportedly; Near Humboldt Cty, Ca...morelifornia. Length: 6-9/16". Width: 1-1/16". Grade: 10+ Museum. This is a large, long, narrow, knife form that is well made, having long, slightly convoluted, blade edges, a sharp tip & a well rounded butt end. Heavy resharpening has reduced the length & width of this blade or hand knife by a third. Classic edge work for type. Excellent, heavy coat of ash based deposits with other authigenic accumulations observed. Reported to have been found at a dig site near Humboldt County, California not far from Gunther Island. All items fourd in the dig had been burned, whether thiswas a sacrificial or ceremonial is not known to me. The second authentication is by Baker as follows. Item: Cascade Knife. Origin: Oregon. Material: Obsidian. Length: 5-1/4". Width: 1-1/8". Grade: 10. This artifact is suggested to date from the "Early Archaic" Period. The workmanship is consistent with ancient techniques and there is good overall patination and mineralization compatible with an artifact of this age.

This is a large size lanceolate point that has broad shoulders & convex, lateral blade edges that constrict into a parallel sided haft. Stem sides transition into drooping basal auricles that create a deep basal edge. The haft is well ground. Good sorbed deposits & Authigenic accumulations. Good use wear with a nice naturally aged patina observed. Authentication by Insight provides the measurement 4"x 1-7/16" x 7/16".
