Of leather, with a variety of implements including priming flask and powder measures, pouches, flintstriker, flint knapper and whetting steel. First half of the 20th century. Worn. From the estate of Heinrich Harrer, Austrian mountaineer, geographer, and author. Best known as one of the four men made the first successful ascent of the North Face of the Eiger in Switzerland, and for his experiences in India and Tibet.
