Description
It’s collector vs. collector in a championship series of sports memorabilia! Fans of the 1968 World Series Champion Detroit Tigers will not want to miss this one. But while baseball is the main event of this session, it boasts cards and other items from the broad spectrum of American sports including football, golf, hockey, basketball, and even professional wrestling.
The sports cards date as far back as t206 tobacco cards (made from 1909 to 1911) all the way up to modern sealed packs. The sports memorabilia includes mass-produced vintage items like a 1968 Detroit Tigers BBQ apron as well as personalized items like a Mickey Mantle autographed baseball!
Sports need a good place to enjoy them, and this auction will help you decorate your home sports bar in style! In addition to the autographed baseballs (from legends like Alan Trammel or Yogi Berra) and the World Series programs (ranging from 1910 to 1968), we’ve got vintage beer signs for classic brands like Blatz and Strohs! There’s even a vintage Pepsi sign for the teetotalers.

***PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING***
Please make sure and read the "Terms of Sale" for bidding in our auction (at the link up above this spot you're reading). We are fairly easy to get along with and we outline our terms very clearly so there's no reason for any confusion. It makes Hulk angry when you start negotiating additional terms after winning lots in one of our auctions.
Here's a few greatest hits:
We will not ship via non-trackable "tape it to the back of a pigeon" methods for expensive items. Items over $100 ship insured, and anything over $250 requires signature confirmation of delivery. We assume you want everything to arrive safely and in one piece, and so do we. This is, unfortunately, sometimes expensive, but we are not in charge of FEDEX and USPS shipping rates. We have no hidden "per lot" fees and we will always do our best to find the best balance between being cost effective and ensuring the item arrives safely.
We have heard from a lot of Canadian bidders asking us to avoid shipping with FEDEX due to some problems it causes. You got it! We will always go with USPS First Class or Priority International when shipping to Canada.
We’re happy to save items for local pick-up, but new customers or occasional visitors have to get in touch ASAP after the auction to ensure their items are set aside. Regular locals must make arrangements for pick-up within seven days of invoicing or items will be shipped.
If you bid on this rules “lot”, we will charge your card for it (and possibly send you a printout of the stop sign clip art).
We will add to this notification lot as needed to answer common questions.
Thanks for reading and happy bidding on our auction!
