Scarce SA award badge with pin back and maroon felt backing-It has unit markings and dated 1937-The plaque also has unit markings and is dated 1937 and has the SA soldiers name in pencil on the reverse-The Pot metal SA soldier bust has come loose from the retaining screws and could be repaired.

Flying Bf 109s (Me-109s) against the overmatched Soviet MiGs and Yaks for almost three years, he accumulated his unrivalled score. Hartmann claimed, that of all his accomplishments, he was proudest of the fact that he never lost a wingman.
