Rare Very Early Production JP Sauer M1926 Commercial Model 7.65 Cal. Pistol

Lot # 14 (Sale Order: 26 of 224)

Serial number range for this rare model ran approx. 161000-171400. This pistol is serial number 161592, so a very early commercially produced pistol. Original finish cond...moreition is average. Bore exhibits wear. The firing pin is not present, but could be an easy fix if a parts pistol happened to come along! This pistol is considered the "missing link" in most JP Sauer collections. "This gun was originally called the Export Model, and only later named the Model 1926. In 1926 the safety lever was provided with a nose which is used to lock the slide in its rear position. The slide catch in the trigger guard is eliminated (as the slide is now held open by the nose of the safety lever). The Zusatzsicherung is retained, and the internal lock work is identical to the Model 1913, Variant 3. The frame retains the square-cut grip of the Model 1913, however the trigger guard is now oval shaped, rather than round, and its bottom runs parallel with the slide. The serrations extend from the screw cap onto the slide. The old-style magazine is retained, so the Model 1926 has magazine interchangeability with the Model 1913. THE EARLIEST (as this pistol is) MODEL 1926 PISTOLS HAD GRIPS LIKE THE MODEL 1913 VARIANT #3 (as this pistol does), but later the hard rubber grips show the word “Sauer” in a rectangle at the top and “Cal. 7,65” in a rectangle at the bottom. Only about 10,000 of these guns were made, making this model relatively rare. There is some crossover of serial numbers between the Model 1926 and the Model 1930."

Late War German Officer's Sword-Rare Field Marshal Series By Eickhorn-LUTZOW Pattern

Lot # 17 (Sale Order: 29 of 224)

This example is in good overall condition exhibiting wear to the original gold gilt finish. The twisted wire black celluloid grip has what appears to be an old repair. Th...moree 32-1/4” blade is in extremely good condition and exhibits the stamped 1935-41 squirrel logo of the Carl Eickhorn Co. Scabbard is not present. The Lützow Pattern has the same Wehrmacht eagle and swastika on the pommel as the Prinz Eugen Pattern. The backstrap is engraved with oak leaves and acorns that run the length and extend into the grip tabs. The "P" guard also has a panel engraved with oak leaves and acorns. The ferrule consists of oak leaves with a cross between the pair, and acorns on either side of the cross. This pattern is repeated on the opposite side. The cross guard is interesting in that it has back-to-back acorns that run all the way out to the curlicue Quilon end. The reverse langet is plain, with a "seal" designed to accept a monogram. The opposite side has the characteristic Lützow motif, consisting of a sword piercing a mobile swastika, with oak leaves on either side. The Lützow Pattern Sword is the rarest of all the Eickhorn Field Marshall Series.
