1928 Stutz BB Boattail Speedster

Lot # 153 (Sale Order: 51 of 115)

For your consideration and our consignment, we have a 1928 Stutz BB Boattail Speedster. With its minimalist body said to be the work of Gordon Buehrig, in its day it cost $5,000.00. This car features several Art Deco details, including a “......Ra”...... sun god hood ornament and an elaborate Egyptian design on the instrument cluster. And of course, the boat tail back of the car which had this sports car of the day nearly 1,500 lbs. lighter than its predecessor the Bearcat. At this time, it was indeed the fastest production car in the world and nearly won the LeMans world title finishing 2nd to a Bentley that year. Exterior Formally known and referred to as the Blackhawk speedster, this beautiful 2 door coupe convertible is bathed in a light coffee, (tan), steel body and dark coffee, (brown), fenders and the lack of a running board for weight saving. The rockers are wide and also present in dark coffee. Upfront a chromed grille covering wraps the radiator behind and sports the “......Ra”...... Sun god hood ornament/radiator cap. Big round headlights along with smaller high beam running lights just below appear to float in front of the grille and just above the dual flat bar chromed bumper below. A long cowled hood runs to the driver and passenger compartment which has a tan canvas convertible top protecting the seats from the elements. On the rectangular angled rearward front windshield surround is a searchlight, and on either side of the firewall cowl are chromed rear view mirrors. Also attached to the hood cowling is a red painted steel wire spare tire and wheel which is on both sides, and these are belted on to this car. Under the doors is a step to aid in getting what was considered at the time a low slung car! On back is the iconic boattail trunk which has panels on either side that curve downward and help support the boat tail as well as the dark coffee rear rounded fenders. This boattail contains a single seat, but the view is obscured by the trunk lid which opens up from rear to front, so this passenger is not provided with a room with a view. Another dual flat chromed bar bumper is on back and a single flared tip exhaust pipe is peeking out from underneath this bumper. For the wire wheels which are on all 4 corners and painted in a beautiful blazing red are 19-inch steel wires and rims are wrapped on thin treaded tires. Overall paint is still shiny and does show some chips mostly at the seams. This car was completed on its restoration journey in 2011 which is when the painting happened. Interior A swing of the low profile doors shows a brown leather stitched panel housing the door actuator lever and a pull bar. This car has no windows so there are no cranks. A small clasped storage area on the bottom of this panel is on, and offers some extra space. Inside an overstuffed smooth supple leather bench seat runs from door to door, and it has seat belts installed which are obviously aftermarket. A beautiful total wood steering wheel with a metal center hub fronts the restored true wood dash with a light coffee dash top. Within the instrument cluster in the center, which is brass with carved ivy leaves embossed within its confines, and an Art Deco Egyptian goddess profile if you look closely between the leaves. Round white faced gauges which have aged gracefully show nicely and are embedded onto this brass plate. Just below this squared off oval is a Stutz winged badge with the number 8 underneath the wings. Nice thick pile brown carpeting is covering the floors and within this brown field is a leather booted long shift lever and chromed handbrake. Looking upward we see a wood frame for the convertible top, with some metal hinges which help the top operate smoothly, although manually. Drivetrain A lift of either side of the long front cowl, reveals a machinists dream with an all polished metal valve cover, stainless steel exhaust manifold and some brass piping running about for the brake fluid. This is a 298.64 ci Inline 8-cylinder with a single overhead cam. This old mill produces 115hp @ 3,600rpm. On back is a 3-speed non synchro gearbox, and there is a 1.5 inch dual choked 1-barrel bronze Shebler carburetor. Also on is twin coil dual plug ignition which can be used as a backup if the first system should fail in any way. Undercarriage The completed restoration took place in 2011 and was performed by Lee Duran. Within this 131 inch wheelbase are nicely painted brown components: tank, suspension, rear axle, and framing arches. Wood floor pans are in beautiful condition not even showing any contact with water. Leaf spring suspension is all around as well as drum brakes which are Lockheed hydraulic. A worm gear rear drive is on to spin the back tires. Drive-Ability This car fired up and idled smoothly once warmed up. Performance was as expected from the inline 8. All functions were simplistic and working perfectly. Plenty of ohhhhh’......s and

1962 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster

Lot # 154 (Sale Order: 52 of 115)

1962 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster With the creative influences of such incredible engineering talents as Edward Cole, Zora Arkus-Duntov and Bill Mitchell behind it, the C1 Corvette had emerged as an American classic, but one that was ready to undergo a transformation into something completely new and exciting. The 1962 model year represents the end of an era for the Chevrolet Corvette. Over the course of ten years, the Corvette had evolved from Harley Earl’......s conceptual two-seat sports car –...... a car that was initially plagued with design and performance deficiencies –...... into a vehicle that rivaled sports cars around the world with an unabashed reputation for performance and fun. Starting out life as a street racer, this 1962 Corvette came upon some misfortune by being wrecked during a race. The original owner fixed the body, and ran out of cash, so the car sat until 1975. Another Corvette aficionado purchased the car and all its parts and had intended to finish the job. Time passed, and fast forward to 2000, where our consigner struck a deal and again transferred all the parts to his garage where he set off to a 3 year restoration. An all original numbers matching car, color changed to silver, but all original interior and low low original miles (25,460). Exterior A change from Ermine White, to Sateen Silver now drapes the total fiberglass exterior of this car which up front looks like the past, and on back like the future. The fiberglass shows no sign of repair and is all buttoned up on the gap minding front. Chrome for the bumpers and trim remains mirror-like and shiny no dimples or rust. Dual headlights frame a long fiberglass front hinged hood, with all correct badging and crossed flags. A wrap around windshield is trimmed with beautiful chrome and above is a white canvas convertible top, which shows just a few smudges and wear, but the rear plastic is clear. Operation is smooth on the up and down, and it tucks neatly into a fiberglass molded cove behind the dual buckets. The “......Corvette cove”...... is seen running from the front quarter, through the door panels, and has a chromed trim spear venting just behind the front wheel well. A nice anodized aluminum rocker cover complete with horizontal ribs stretches from wheel well to wheel well. The future is seen with the back of the car now taking on the Sting Ray look. This would be the last model with a trunk as such until a special edition in 1982, and a similar version showing back up on the C5 model in 1998. Knock off wheel covers are brightly presenting wrapped by thin white band Goodyear Club tires. Interior Simply gorgeous deep deep red floods the interior in vinyl and leather panels, coverings, and carpeting. Chrome trimmings for the doors and handles are near perfect and all functional. Seats are all original and bend with the curve of the interior shell, which has a central storage compartment and a button to open the rear cowl for the top storage. A big red 3 spoked drilled stainless steering wheel front a great dash that sports molded deep cowl red surrounding silver and black face round gauges, clustered around an arched speedometer as its star. Just a great looking dash, and when behind the wheel, you’......ll feel like you are piloting the Millennium Falcon! For the passenger is a full on inwardly curved cove with a built on “......Jesus”...... bar. A new digital radio emulating the original is in the center of the dash, and just above is the cool dash mounted rear view mirror. A central vertical panel dives downward from the dash and houses the airflow controls and a clock. The shifter is in a chromed panel complete with an ashtray, and stain free near showroom carpet covers the floors. Its red and has a peppering of black loops throughout. Drivetrain Though technically the same engine block as the 283, the smaller engine was bored and stroked to bring its cylinder dimensions to 4.00 x 3.25 inches and it’......s displacement up to 327 cubic inches. Gone forever from the 1962 (and all future models) Corvette was the troublesome twin four-barrel Carter carburetors. These were replaced by a more powerful, single four-barrel Carter carburetor. A 4-speed manual transmission is strapped behind this engine, and reminder all are numbers matching. A 3.70:1 rear axle provides quick starting off the line and is also original to this car. Undercarriage Wonderfully preserved, all original suspension, steering and drum brakes all around, no rust seen, and just beautifully restored from the frame off. Drive-Ability Behind the wheel one feels like a touch of class is presenting to them with the long tasteful dual headlight front leading the way. This car started immediately, and after a short warm up, it was off to the test track. It handles very well, accelerates with plenty of power, and comes to a straight quick panic stop. All functions were working well, and it was an overall great ex

1997 Dodge Viper GTS Coupe For consignment, a second year Gen 2 1997 version of the Dodge Viper in GTS form...meaning more horsepower, more luxury and less weight and with the V-10 it now puts out 456hp to tear up any road you may want to carve through hill and dale. ... Only the same year’......s Porsche 911 Turbo is quicker, but this one has more luxury and features. ... A mere 5,013 title verified miles clocked on this 3 owner garage kept beauty and it's definitely like new with aftermarket ...exhaust and a billet power steering pulley. ... Read on! Exterior Fiberglass with reinforced plastic is sculpted to create the sexy curvaceous body which is truly all racer.  ... From the chin spoiler to the mid grille air dam, to the front of the car that curves upward to the long GTS hood with a small air intake in the center, aero head lighting open for all to see on either side of front quarters, along with fog lights in the round on the front corners it's all moving while standing still. ... Some shark gills are on top of the front quarters  ...to keep the brakes and engine cool, and a cove is created by those front quarters for the doors, just above a wide rocker which creates the thresh-holds. ... A wonderfully rounded roofline melts into greenhouse glass which flies upward on the tail to make a rear spoiler. ... Careful, the rear tire is right there under the B pillar which melts into the rear quarters that eventually curve around to form the back of the sports car which have the ubiquitous curved tail lighting for all Vipers from their inception. ... A body matching neoprene bumper and dual central located exhaust tips under the rear roll pan peek out from under the wide stripes which are running the gamut of the car. ... This model bathed in fully ceramic coated Viper Blue Pearl with white painted stripes, it’......s all over for the exterior, but it ends in race car greatness, as it appears ready for the track sans the number on the side. ... A clear bra has been applied on the nose and rocker panels for extra protection and the only fault to note in the finish is a twin scuff and chip off of the paint at the front lower on the driver's door. ... This is due to an over-extension of the door stop. ... All this rides on 17-inch polished 5 spoke wheels wrapped in the factory 275/40ZR17’......s in front, and 335/35ZR17’......s in back. Interior Several sacrificial animal hides are applied throughout this interior with its sporty high back curvaceous black leather buckets that are flanked by a wide center console. ... The design utilizes seamless construction of this console to melt into the dash in front where climate controls, an AM/FM/CD stereo and on top a 4 count of white faced round gauges to keep your eyes on the vitals of the engine. ... In front of the driver are more white faced round gauges deeply unset into a crescent molded dash top that has a few digital readout clusters of warning lights. ... A leather wrapped rally style steering wheel reaches for the driver frontage of this dash. ... Black carpeting floods the floors, and above is a black headliner. ... The doors are completely molded for a clean sleek look and are also in black. Drivetrain Stuffed under the forward hinged hood is a massive red headed V-10 8.0 liter mill. ... It has EFI and a T56 6-speed manual transmission. ... Rear tires are spun by a 3.07 Viper rear axle. ... All very clean and very powerful with a touch of dress up in the form of a billet power steering pulley. ... For the purists, the original pulley is included. Undercarriage Nearly like the showroom with just a few scuffs on the underside of the front fascia, just plenty of straight structural steel and cast aluminum suspension which includes independent coil springs for front and rear. ... Power disc brakes are all around, and a like new dual Berlanger cat-back exhaust its snaking its way to the back of the car. ... Again, for the purists in the room, the original exhaust is included with your purchase. Drive-Ability Very seductive, I slipped inside and popped the clutch and was off like a flash to the test track. ... Here it had me falling in love with its rail-like handling, neck snapping acceleration, and ease of operation with surprising comfort and plenty of options to keep me occupied. ... All in perfect working condition. ... Definitely an E ticket ride. Inspired by Peter Brock’......s Daytona Cobra Coupe, this 2nd year Gen 2 GTS is a throwback to the 60’......s, with its twin stripped exterior, luscious curves and V10 power, right down to the gas filler cap cleverly disguised as a racing fuel filler hinged version.  ...1 of a mere 1,671 versions built, 3 owners and low low original miles, it's worth a look, and then some as it is virtually a new car ripe for the picking from our Hallowed Halls here at Classic Auto Mall. 1B3ER69E2VV301572 1-USA B-Dodge 3-Passenger Car E-Manual Belts, Front Airbags R-Viper 6-Performance Imag

1980 Triumph TR8 Roadster

Lot # 156 (Sale Order: 54 of 115)

1980 Triumph TR8 Roadster As an astute TR fan, owner (a TR-6 and TR-250) I remember when the last of the TR series was being introduced as “......The Shape of Things To Come”...... that being the wedge shape. The TR7 sold more examples than the entire TR series history combined, so it was a real hit. Problem was it was nagged with engine problems and somewhat lackluster performance, so in a last gasp effort British Leyland made the final leap to the TR8. For consignment, a rare example due to numbers of a mere 2,346 actually being built, we give you the Triumph TR8. This would be the last of the TR’......s but definitely the best, as to power reliability, and overall quality of construction. Trouble was they got it right and only 2,346 were made! This example survives and is very much alive and kicking with its 3.5 Rover V8, dual Stromberg SCDSET carbs and not a speck of rust. Reading on will definitely show you the shape of things to come! Exterior A wonderful repaint of Midas Gold now covers the straight steel panels of this wedged car. Hidden headlights and an integrated bumper lets you slice your way through the air, all the while looking sporty doing it. A steeply raked rearward windscreen picks up where the bonnet leaves off and frames the passenger compartment with plenty of room even with the vinyl convertible top up. Speaking of which it is in black and has clear rear plastic windows, and I might add folds nice and smoothly into the rear cowl. In back the trunk is nice and smooth, and lower back we see a large black crash bumper protects the rear of the car and shows dual exhaust tips sneaking a look out from underneath. 13-inch 8 square spoke magnesium racing wheels are on all 4 corners, and are wrapped with like new radials. Interior A swing of the door and I can only ask “......Shall we shag now or shall we shag later?!”...... with the groovy multiple warm tone woven plaid pattern surrounded by butterscotch vinyl on the door panels. Black knobs and flush mounted door openers are mounted here as well, along with the obligatory ash tray courtesy light and stereo speaker. Slipping inside more “......groovy baby”...... plaid insert buckets with butterscotch bolsters and high backs with headrests. Decidedly British with the color and pattern. The dash has been well thought out and has the iconic Smiths instruments peppering the cluster. An aftermarket Sony AM/FM/Cassette stereo head unit is in the central console as well as temp and fan control sliders, and the leather booted shift lever cover. More butterscotch padded sides to this console, and a padded glovebox cover which doubles as an armrest shared by the passengers. Gold carpet in nice clean condition floods the floors, and the original tri metal spoke steering wheel is fronting the dash. 1980 Triumph TR8 Roadster As an astute TR fan, owner (a TR-6 and TR-250) I remember when the last of the TR series was being introduced as “......The Shape of Things T...moreo Come”...... that being the wedge shape. 1974 Porsche 914

Lot # 157 (Sale Order: 55 of 115)

1974 Porsche 914 By the late 1960s, both Volkswagen and Porsche were in need of new models; Porsche was looking for a replacement for their entry-level 912, and Volkswagen wanted a new range-topping sports coupe to replace the Karmann Ghia. At the time, the majority of Volkswagen's developmental work was handled by Porsche, part of a setup that dated back to Porsche's founding; Volkswagen needed to contract out one last project to Porsche to fulfill the contract and decided to make that project. Ferdinand Pië...ch, who was in charge of research and development at Porsche, was put in charge of the 914 project. Originally intending to sell the vehicle with a flat four-cylinder engine as a Volkswagen and with a flat six-cylinder engine as a Porsche, Porsche decided during development that having Volkswagen and Porsche models sharing the same body would be risky for business in the American market, and convinced Volkswagen to allow them to sell both versions as Porsches in North America. On March 1, 1968, the first 914 prototype was presented. 914/6 sold quite poorly while the much less expensive 914/4 became Porsche's top seller during its model run, outselling the Porsche 911 by a wide margin with over 118,000 units sold worldwide. For consignment, the joint venture between Porsche and VW in the form of a 1974 Porsche 914. Combining the styling cues from Porsche and the simple engine mechanicals from Volkswagen we have not only a visual but also a mechanical winner. A mid engine powerplant offers good balance for spirited driving and the aero design keeps everyone staring as does the blinding yellow paint. Throw in hidden headlights and a targa roof design and we have a proven winner. This Porsche recently had a new Rotary A/C system with all supporting parts installed plus a full A-Z mechanical once over and even has its Porsche certificate of authenticity. Exterior A fine rust-free example of the 914 here bathed in the original Sunflower Yellow hue with stainless steel and black accenting throughout. Its low profile, boxy styled body has straight steel with nicely minded gaps. Hidden headlights are upfront along with some running lights in the lower bumper/grille. A black fiberglass targa style removable center top is seen, and it fits between a mildly raked windscreen and a large black B pillar on top of the slightly sloping downward rear deck. The rear valance shows in the same black that encircles the lower part of this smooth body. Bringing up the tail end is the chrome and black trimmed rear bumper, (this would be the final year for chrome bumpers on the 914 as the 1975 and 76 model years came equipped with heavy rubber covered units), with its mandated black rubber bumperettes. This boxy little sports car is nicely presenting with very clean Mahle wheels and newer 185/75HR15 blackwall rubber. Interior Simple black vinyl covered doors with an inset actuating handle greet us prior to stepping inside. Once there we sit in German styled high back bucket seats which are a fairly flat design and incorporate tuck and roll leatherette inserts in black. These buckets sit in a sea of black carpeting with black carpeted floor mats on top. The original dash is sitting in front awaiting its driver to get up and go! There is an aftermarket AM/FM/Cassette radio within this original dash, and we can also note the litany of gauges for the driver to keep a mindful eye on during those corner carving sessions. All black and all nicely presenting. Drivetrain Just behind the passengers, for even weight distribution, sits an air cooled numbers matching 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine topped with Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection. A 5-speed manual transmission with a new clutch kit is on back and a 4.429 final drive is formulating the rear axle. Undercarriage Structurally sound and rust free with just a coating of chassis black to lock in the surface patina. Disc brakes are upfront, and matching discs for the rear with independent suspension upfront and independent MacPherson struts on back. A very honest presenting car underneath! Drive-Ability A quick starter, smooth runner and good accelerator. Handling and braking were excellent, and it was a fun throwback for this writer who first drove a 914 to learn how to drive with a clutch way back in 1975. All functions were operational during my drive and the A/C even blew cold. The A/C is a very desirable option on these. This 1974 version of the 914 seen with no rust and well cared for with its COA from Porsche, numbers matching engine and folder of service records is the holy grail of 914's. The "Hell Hole" on this 914 is excellent as well so don't fret. So, if you are one of those who do follow, this one deserves a close look. It's the one of the very few I’......ve seen here during my storied (sic) career here at Classic Auto Mall.

1976 Lohr FL500 Fardier

Lot # 159 (Sale Order: 57 of 115)

Proudly presented to you, and probably the only time you'll ever get the opportunity to see one in the flesh, er...steel, a 1976 Lohr FL500 Fardier. Believed to have been originally assigned to the French Foreign Legion, (due to FFLA livery and paint colors found during the restoration), then acquired by John Delorean of Delorean Motor Car fame for testing and promotional films for the DMC Model 44, (videos are available on YouTube under DMC44 small off-road project). After testing and filming was wrapped up in California, the FL500 was sent to the 433 acre Lamington Farms Estate in Bedminster, NJ, (now Trump International Golf Course), for touring and light work duties. Delorean commissioned Oldwick Garage to perform repairs and upon John's passing the garage took ownership in lieu of payment. From there the vehicle was passed to Tewksbury Balloons and purchased by our consignor in 2018. An open checkbook restoration was performed using all OEM and new parts. Just a splendid presentation for this not oft seen machine. ***Please note, this vehicle is sold on a BILL OF SALE only*** Exterior Simple, basic, utilitarian....words that describe this not oft seen beauty. With its near perfectly applied coating of Desert Tan paint over a steel tubular body/chassis, this "mule" is ready to work. Surrounding the body is a tubular steel frame with a texture desert tan finish which does an excellent job of protecting the wedge shaped fiberglass nose. This frame tubing flows around the front and creates heavy duty bumpers to protect the wedge shaped fiberglass nose and within this nose we see Lohr embossing, yellow driving lights as well as outboard signal lamps. Down low is a winch to help you get out of a tight spot and tiedown/lifting hooks are noted welded to the bumpers. Simple fiberglass splash shields hang down from the frame on the sides and we note decals for different campaigns in Africa and the French Foreign Legion logo. Rounding out the rear are basic tan slit covered tail lights as well as a pintle style hitch for hauling your 120mm Thomson Brandt mortar launcher through the urban jungle. Slotted tan steel wheels keep this mini rig on the ground and are wrapped in like new 205/70R15 off-road radials. Interior A virtual candy store for your eyes with no doors to swing open, no roof to block your view and no glass to clean. Simple diamond plate makes up the flooring for the majority of this rig with the driver positioned in the left front corner. A simple tan vinyl bucket seat provides room for the driver and while not plush and luxurious, it is functional and quite comfy. Fronting the dash is a nearly vertical steering wheel in black plastic and we see the brake master cylinder right in front of the tan column. Dash central holds the large black face speedometer and smaller round supporting gauges along with a few toggles and push buttons. To the right of the driver is the all black shifter and twin parking brake handles. Further over is a flip up plate that allows access to the battery area and small stowage compartment. A simple roll bar has been speced on to protect the driver in case things go awry and there is plenty of room on the diamond plate deck to haul ammunition, troops or wounded soldiers. Lift hooks are noted on the corners should you want to be airlifted in or out of the battle zone/local traffic jam. Drivetrain Non conventional by far, but durable. A rust free tan tubular frame provides the backbone for this truck...er...car...er mule. Under the rear platform we see a Citroen 2CV horizontally opposed 2 cylinder air cooled gas engine coming in at 600cc. This 29hp mill is fed by a 1bbl carburetor and mounted directly behind is a 4-speed manual transmission which sends power to both the front and rear axles. Undercarriage Off road capable with its high body and outward mounted wheels. More tan covers the chassis and we note inboard disc brakes both fore and aft. Suspension is of the swing arm variety front and rear and are connected to centrally mounted spring units situated longitudinally between the front and rear wheels. The steering is non-power assist and uses a standard Citroen 2CV rack and pinion. Drive-Ability Now for the part you've all been waiting for....Maistro, cue up Eugé...nie please. A quick starter and smooth idler here folks, I carefully situated myself behind the wheel and found the seating position to be rather high up, similar to that of a big rig but nonetheless comfortable and adequate for my ample frame. My crack decoder and partner in crime decided to forgo a ride along and he mumbled something about him falling off whilst I envisioned myself dodging enemy fire...but I digress. The ride is surprisingly smooth for a military vehicle, the turning circle is small, and braking is adequate. I didn't attempt the factory rated top speed of 36mph nor did I attempt the official figures of departure and approach angles of 90

1967 Pontiac Tempest Custom Sport Coupe

Lot # 166 (Sale Order: 63 of 115)

1967 Pontiac Tempest Custom Sport Coupe For consignment, a 1967 version of the Tempest that represents in my opinion one of the nicest design years in the history of this car. With its split front grille, Pontiac “......beak”...... breaking it up, dual stacked headlights, sleek rear with integrated triple threat taillights and along with a clean interior and black vinyl top, this example is a keeper. Exterior Montreux Blue is the theme here with these light blue steel panels in slight coke bottle lines for the sides, but it’......s only the beginnings of said design, so it is subtle. Stacked dual vertical headlights are flanking a dual opening small beaked grille, which will also grow as the years go by. Within the grille are groupings of 4 vertical chromed rib units that stretch across in a black background. The signal lights are just below in a smaller air opening. A nice shiny bumper is below, and above begins the hood line with a dual opening whale nasal-esque hood scoop. Along the sides are well minded gaps and a belt line white pinstripe which borrows from the black vinyl top which presents in rust free condition. A fair amount of previous Bondo repairs are noted underneath, particularly on the rockers and lower quarters especially behind the wheel wells. A wide stainless steel strip is running the length of the car highlighting the rockers. Panels under this rocker have suffered from invasive rust and are sawtoothed. A few other small dents and dings are noted which were present for the new respray. Some shark-like gills are hovering in the rear quarters. A black vinyl top is on and has some flying buttress like wings framing the rear glass and landing on the trunk deck prior to the trunk lid. On the back, the large trunk lid sweeps rearward to the rear panel which houses a trio of lined up tail lights reminiscent of the Impala. A clean shiny bumper is below and wraps around the rear quarters just slightly. 14-inch Pontiac Rally II wheels are wrapped with like new raised white letter BFG radial T/A’......s from 2014. The car has a wonderful aggressive stance and is truly a muscle adaptation taken on from its earlier predecessors. Interior A swing of the doors and we are greeted with black molded vinyl with dual horizontal ribbed panels on each door, some mid badging and the cranks and levers with an armrest. Looking inside we see more black vinyl Strato buckets with low headrests. These chairs show slight wear and the drivers seat has some damage on the mid upper as well at the outside corner of the seat/headrest area. In back is a solid bench with the same coverings as the front, this time with no arm rest. Racing up the center of the buckets is a futuristic wood appliqué... and thin chrome edge trimmed console. It houses a lockable glovebox and the shifter which takes its design cues from the Seattle Space Needle. As it dives below the dash it runs into a duo of aftermarket gauges in a shiny bezeled panel below the dash. As for the dash, it is all original and has beautiful wood appliqué... in the dash front and all the circular multi gauge and light along with a sweep speedometer in blackface inset within the dash front highlighted with shiny thin bezels. A lineup of knobs and pulls is under these gauges, and Pontiac is famous for using the under the dash top switches and dials handing under the upper dash overhang. Above the center and console on the dash front, are some air vents, temp sliders and a newer AM/FM digital radio. Black steel takes over for the passenger’......s side and it shows well with a glovebox and some badging and futuristic looking eyeball air vents. Black carpeting, which is very clean, is covering the floors and above a tight black headliner in vinyl is looking great. A shout out to the trunk with its felted coverings for the spare and other surfaces, as well as a vinyl liner which is from the factory. Drivetrain Under the scooped hood is a 326ci V8 and it is original to this car. It is painted in the correct steel blue and has a single Quadrajet 800cfm carburetor, which resides under a chromed round open air cleaner. The valve covers are also chromed. Also seen are some slight surface rusted parts such as the exhaust manifold, and the brake reservoir. Power is sent thru a TH350 3-speed automatic and back to a 10-bolt rear. An overall patina nicely aged is seen throughout the engine bay. Undercarriage Mounted to the rear is the undercoated factory fuel tank, and this sits within a surface rusted environment, especially on the usual suspects, ie suspension and exterior areas of the floorpans. The rockers and edges of the underbody are rusted and have rough edges. Independent coil springs provide the front suspension, and a 4 link with coil springs for the back suspension. Power drum brakes are on the front, and the rear. A dual exhaust with Turbo mufflers is there for the exhale. Drive-Ability This car started q

1965 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

Lot # 167 (Sale Order: 64 of 115)

1965 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe ... For consignment, a C2 Stingray that just bleeds Corvette. ... With its bulged hood and curved rear glass and another body bump heading rearward, hidden headlights, wrap around aircraft styled doors, of course the iconic side pipes, split bumpers and spinner wheels you just cannot get enough of this car, and you haven’......t even hopped in as of yet! ... Purchased in 2007 by our consignor and treated to a complete cosmetic ...and mechanical restoration, including a period correct engine and transmission, new suspension components, and new steering components. ... A "log book" of the build is included, the leather seat covers are original, and our consignor states the engine puts out an estimated 385hp. ... How's that for a Sting Ray with some bite? Exterior Rally Red painted fiberglass showing very nicely with very few faults, cracks or crazing, just the deep end of the pool red, ( in 2021 from doors forward all fiberglass was repaired to eliminate cracks and crazing ...but shows with a slight color difference from the rearward parts of the body). ... With the split wrap around bumpers, hidden headlights, newly designed grille and a hint of a stinger on the hood, the design for the front of this car is meant to slice through the air. ... Gills reside in the front quarters and a chromed trimmed windshield surround and sleek rear of this car with more split wrap around bumpers and round tail lights in the back. ... These year ‘......Vettes really had the shark/stingray look. ... Speaking of predators, the back deck lid is to die for. ... Very close to the split window nirvana, this year uses the solid curved glass that turns into the rear deck and rolls around to form a point at the rear of the car. ... On back a pointy rear roll pan houses round tail and backup lights and punch through dual exhaust. ... More curve around split, like new rear bumpers, and a shout out to the upper doors which wrap around the roofline just like an aircraft and indeed it was inspired by this. ... Below these doors is the essential sidepipe with the horizontal opening gridded protector stainless. ... All this aero art form sits upon 15-inch Torque Thrust chromed hub ... wheels with trim rings, and all wrapped up in black wall radials and completes the “......look”....... ...  ...Now THIS is a Corvette! Interior  ...A swing of the aircraft style doors and we meet up with black leather and molded black plastic forming the door panels. ... These have a bordering chrome thin trimming, all knobs, cranks and even a chrome door pull are excellent and truly showroom . ... Moving inside beautifully aged overstuffed tuck and roll inserted and smooth bolstered black leather bomber style buckets are in the cabin.  ...These are the original leather covers over top of new seat foam.  ...A small center console races through these seats and eventually houses the chromed ball topped shifter. ... In front of the shifter is a vertical rise with a vertically mounted radio, 4 chromed knobs and a round chrome bezel clock. ... Bordering this vertical panel two thin pillars rise on either side and form a graceful curve for either passenger. ... The driver gets the instrumentation and the passenger a glovebox all under the watchful eye of the padded dash also in black. All of the instruments have been rebuilt and work perfectly. ... A wood rimmed steering wheel has a central stainless trio of ribs. ... Speaking of the dash front, behind the gauges is a near perfect textured panel forming with the upper curve and looking very clean and like new. ... Black carpeting is reserved for the floors and rear storage area under that curvaceous glass.  ...The carpeting in the back is slightly faded. ... A smooth tight black headliner conforms to tell the interior curves of the roof very nicely. ... All clean as a whistle! Drivetrain Our decoder did a deep dive into this 327ci mill and found it is circa 1962-1967 engine and is date correct for this car.  ...There is a single 4-barrel carburetor on top which is covered by a shiny dinner plate like air cleaner cover. ... On either side are cast aluminum CORVETTE badged ribbed valve coverings. ... More decoding from casting numbers and the transmission is a circa 1964–......65, (3851325), Muncie M20 4-speed manual transmission, it has been rebuilt with a new clutch.  ...On the back is a 3.36 posi rear axle appearing original in code to this vehicle.  ...Our consigner states that this drivetrain has less than 3,500 miles on it since the rebuild and it makes an estimated 385hp. Undercarriage Not even a hint of slight surface rust is seen in various areas on the frame, which is all structurally solid.  ...We see independent coil springs upfront, and an independent rear with a transverse leaf spring on back. ... Disc brakes are all around and of course the exhaust piping leading to the side pipes is all excellent with no rust. ... Our consignor notes that all new suspe

1926 Pontiac Hill Climb Speedster

Lot # 171 (Sale Order: 67 of 115)

1926 Pontiac Boat Tail Speedster There’......s a reason the hill climb was one of the earliest forms of motor vehicle racing: Competition doesn’......t get much simpler. All you need is a hill (duh), a handful of competitors with cars and sympathetic local authorities. Race up to the top one by one, then see who did it the fastest. That’......s about all there is to it. Starting life as a two door sedan produced early in 1926, the first year of Pontiac production, the car was sold by McRorie-Sautter, a Utica, New York dealer. The owner had the car for only a short time when an accidental fire destroyed the car's interior. The dealership bought back the damaged chassis and had it taken across town to the Willoughby Coachworks, a builder of high... end custom automobiles. There the car was rebodied from the dash back into an open, two seat speedster. This was not a typical high finished job, typical of the coachworks, but quick and dirty, witnessed by the fact that there was no Willoughby number plate attached. The dealership had a purpose for this investment, hill climb racing, which was popular in that period. They had dealership signage painted onto the car, and on August 14, 1926, the Hill Climber, as it was come to be known, was entered in a Sherrill New York hill climb. They were successful taking first in their displacement class and third in the unlimited displacement run. The dealership returned home that day with two silver trophies and $20. Two days later, the Utica newspaper ran an ad for the dealership proudly describing the results to encourage people to consider a new Pontiac. This had to have been the first Pontiac "Win On Sunday, Sell On Monday" ad. The McRorie-Sautter dealership continued to campaign the Hill Climber for seven years until 1932, at which time it was placed in storage at the dealer. In 1983, the dealership closed, and the car was given to a family friend. The car suffered neglect for a number of years. The present owners purchased it from an on-line ad in 1997. Since, they found the McRorie family, from whom they were given the history of the car and a number of photographs from 1926. They then did extensive researched in Utica newspapers to further build the car's history. The restoration kept as close to the original 1926 photos as possible. Hill Climber's history has been accepted by the AACA 24B judging class (open course race cars) and has earned a Grand National Senior award. It also received the AACA Past President's Racing Cup award for outstanding race car, Eastern Division in 2008. The car participated in numerous Concours 'd Elegance events throughout the eastern US and made demonstration runs in several "revival" historic hill climbs; Hershey, PA, Newport, IN and Algonquin, IL. In 2003 the car received an Amelia award at the Amelia Island Concours 'd Elegance. It has also been on display at several museums over the years. The Hill Climber was also used on the General Motors mid-way displays at two NHRA Nationals drag races. The GM Racing press release in 2002 was titled, "First Pontiac Race Car To Be Featured At U.S. Nationals". The Hill Climber has also been featured in several magazines. The car drives and shows well. 2004 Chevrolet SSR

Lot # 175 (Sale Order: 71 of 115)

2004 Chevrolet SSR Offered for consignment is a 2004 Chevrolet SSR in Redline Red with ebony leather interior. This Sport Roadster checks all the boxes with a 5.3 liter power plant and 4-speed automatic transmission. The odometer reads 29,375 verified actual miles and is ready to go anywhere. A great opportunity to own a rare, unique and collectible truck with car like manners. Exterior Factory applied Redline Red, with a few scratches and scuffs looks just splendid with its miles deep smooth finish. A design from an earlier era with a modern twist, shows a bulbous nose with streamlined inserted headlights, flared fenders, a short running board, and a shaved rear gate area. A massive cargo cover protects any cargo, and lifts on a hinged system. An automatic retractable hardtop makes its way automatically from its space right behind the drivers cockpit and raises and lowers in a flash. Taking a gander at this truck, if you are at the correct angle, you may think you are looking at a new VW Beetle. This is not a bad thing, as it is very slippery in the air with nothing to impede the flow of it. 19 and 20-inch wheels are on the corners, all neatly shod in staggered width high performance blackwall rubber and based on the 2004 date code could very well be the factory installed tires. Interior Ebony leather with brushed aluminum and a hint of the Redline Red comes together to create a luxurious yet sporty interior that emulates the exterior design of the vehicle. Even the door panels and handle mechanisms look much like the front of the truck. The center console is home to the automatic shifter, power window toggles, the electric top switch, and looks nearly perfect with its padded ebony armrest in a field of Redline for the console topper. Flanking on each side are the comfortable buckets in Ebony leather, and sporting a multi-functional electronic adjustment, with two memory positions, as well as heated driver and passenger seats. Open headrests are framed by chromed roll bar-esque trim that hug the headrests. Various heating and air-conditioning controls as well as the factory AM/FM/CD Changer unit are seen in the dash. Very clean black carpet lines the bed and also floods the passenger compartment floors. Drivetrain 5.3 liters in LS V8 format pumps out a whopping 300hp. This big power mill is fed by electronic fuel injection and is backed by a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and a 10 bolt 3.73 rear with Positraction. Undercarriage Underneath we see a peppering of surface rust on the usual suspects, but nothing remarkable as to the structural integrity of this retro-mod. Body hangers are sturdy and we note a slight covering of factory paint overspray on the flooring. Independent coil springs up front and a 5 link with coil springs make up the rear suspension. 4-wheel power disc brakes are on as well. Noted is a factory single exhaust which makes this vehicle roar. Drive-Ability This car/truck roared to life and after a nice warmup, took us to our test area where it passed all the challenges. Good acceleration, handling, and a smooth car ride. Also, a smooth shifting transmission and all working functions can be said to be true. A retro roadster with a bed if you will, all tricked out with modern conveniences and power plant, along with a super smooth drivetrain setup, will allow you to hit the road immediately after driving it away from Classic Auto Mall. Think of it as a modern-day interpretation of a sedan delivery…......but in record time! 1GCES14P44B112033 1-USA G-General Motors C-Chevrolet Trucks E-6001-7000 GVWR S-4X2 Conventional Cab 1-1/2 Ton 4-2 Door P-5.3L V8 300hp 4-Check Digit 4-2004 B-Lansing, MI Assy Plant 112033-Sequential Unit Number Classic Auto Mall is a 336,000-square foot classic and special interest automobile showroom, featuring over 850 vehicles for sale with showroom space for up to 1,000 vehicles. 1996 Ford Bronco XL

Lot # 176 (Sale Order: 72 of 115)

1996 Ford Bronco XL The fifth and final generation of Bronco attained infamy when O.J. Simpson led the police on a car chase through L.A. Before that though, the three door, hardtop SUV was geared more towards safety than previous generations of Bronco had been. The fifth generation was given substantial safety increases. From front crumple zones and three-point seatbelts to a driver side airbag. For consignment, a rarely seen XL edition of the 1996 Bronco from the blue oval. Many upgrades have been put on during the routine maintenance life of this vehicle, some paint work has been performed leaving us with a rust-free example that's ready to show and haul. A not oft seen bench seat, sporty wheels and removable hardtop. Full size 4 wheelin’...... with the classic Bronco look. Exterior Very clean and Light Saddle Metallic bathes the hood, cab, sides, and gate, and lower portions of the XL series station wagon...yes, that's how they are titled. A black fiberglass top is installed and can be removed to give you an open-air option. Badging and chrome is correct and in excellent condition and I love the added wheel lip moldings and twin upper and lower mocha brown pinstriping breaking up the slab sided steel. Brand new knobby BF Goodrich all terrain T/A Radials are on all 4 corners, and wrap large polished aluminum wheels with locking hubs. A clean tailgate finishes off our tour and is equipped with a power window. Interior A swing of the doors reveal a large overstuffed bench clad in smooth tan tweed broadcloth on the bolsters with dark brown striped inserts. A rear bench which will fold down expanding the already spacious cargo area is installed behind the buckets. The front bench is manually actuated and appears as nearly new, and the rear bench seat is in nice unused condition. The dash setup is standard Ford fare with two tone tan over black for the inserts. The doors use some tan vinyl and molded plastic panels and present in like new condition. All business here with crank windows, manual locks and manual mirror adjustments. The standard black steering wheel fronts the analog gauge cluster complete with its LCD odometer readout. Storage room is ample in the carpeted area behind the rear seat, even with the full sized matching spare tire. Good quality carpeting, in tan color, is covering the front floors as well. Drivetrain A 302ci V8 fed by EFI lurks in the cavernous engine bay with everything looking nearly new without a spec of rust or dirt. A 5-speed manual transmission is attached to the back and sends power to the 3.55 geared rear axle when in 2-wheel drive mode and to both the front and rear axles when 4x4 is engaged. Undercarriage Clean, some surface rust on the untreated components with no structural damage and even the untreated factory floor pans are looking great. Radius arm and coil springs for the front ride and leaf springs for the back. Power disc brakes are upfront, and power drums on back. Stock style single exhaust snakes its way rearward and while surface rusted remains fully intact. Drive-Ability The test track was no match for this big Bronco. Smooth acceleration, good handling for a truck and plenty of creature comforts that work perfectly and stops on a dime. While we didn't take any off-road excursions but we were able to engage the 4 wheel drive with success. With 97,885 actual miles which appears virtually like new exterior wise, and the interior is very clean. Lots of recent service performed and cold air conditioning. Well cared for and runs nicely with plenty of power if you want to rock and climb! Adding more NASCAR flair are silver bordering on white rocker fairings for that extra racy racy look. ... Factory badging is present and accounted for and Goodwrench, #3, championship year wins, and Dale Sr. signature decals give some extra pizazz. ... Factory Camaro badged alloy wheels are on all 4 corners wrapped in deeply treaded Goodyear rubber. The mar and wrinkle free seats have Dale Earnhardt Championship Series embroidered into both the headrest as part of the very limited edition package. ... These are pristine in condition as are the door panels that cozy up to the seats when the doors are closed, and you are in ready to go mode. We see power windows, power seats, power locks, the Z28 preferred equipment group, and A/C. ... Black carpet floods the floors, and the dash is all original and all clean as a whistle sporting the signatures of Dale Sr and Jr across the passengers airbag and center top dash. ... A digital readout AM/FM/CD player is factory, and all is just perfect with the interior world. Drivetrain Under the hood is the consignor stated numbers matching 5.7 liter LT-1 V8 with electronic fuel injection to feed it the go juice and make the tire turning 275hp. ... A 6-speed manual T56 transmission is on back and pushes power rearward to a performance optioned 3.42 10 bolt rear axle. Undercarriage As one would expect from a well loved 1 of 6 collector car with low low miles, the underside is nearly showroom, with no rust to be seen, nicely painted floor pans, rust free rockers and overall, a very nice unibody undercarriage. ... Power disc brakes are on the front and back and keeping the Goodyears stuck to the track is an independent coil spring front suspension and torque arm and coil spring rear arrangement. Drive-Ability Nearly like-new is the buzzword for this wonderful timepiece from ’......94. ... It starts right up, and rolls with the best of them on the test track with smooth power, straight braking, and everything in working order. ... A/C blows cold, and the stereo is audiophile quality. ... We kept our tenure behind the wheel short as not to be the ones to log extra miles. Words like collector car, rotisserie restoration, frame off, time capsule, or survivor all mean a top notch quality car, and in the case of this one, low miles, 1 of 6 built and a great tie into NASCAR history, and all original. ... A nearly perfect interior, excellent exterior, plenty of muscle for the power, and a comfortable cruiser if you so desire. The T top is a bonus, and one almost cannot go wrong with this low mileage pampered, garaged Earnhardt edition Z28. ... I
