Colt Single Action Artillery Revolver
Lot # 405 (Sale Order: 401 of 698)
Condition: Retains a lot of the blue finish on the barrel with wear to the left side exposing gray and muzzle wear. Cylinder shows wear from rotation and to the high edges but retains a strong amount of blue finish. The frame is very good displaying a vibrant case color throughout. The grips are good with nicks and dings consistent with age and use. Bore is very good. Mechanically very good.

Colt Model 1877 "Lightening" Revolver
Lot # 406 (Sale Order: 402 of 698)
Condition: The barrel and ejector retain some blue that is blending to a patina. The trigger and trigger guard retain some of the blue also blending to a patina. The back of the hammer retains most of the blue. The cylinder retains some of the blue blending to a patina. Some of the case coloring remains behind the cylinder with the remaining blending with a patina. The markings are good. The grips are good with minimal wear. Mechanically good. Bore is very good.

Factory Engraved Colt Single Action Army Revolver

Condition: Retains a lot of the re-nickel finish with wear and flaking on the barrel, cylinder, frame and back strap. Some area of fine salt and peppering pitting on the frame and cylinder blending to a patina. The grips are good with a pleasing yellow patina that show age with nicks and dings. Bore is good. Mechanically very good.

Factory Engraved Colt DA Model 1894
Lot # 409 (Sale Order: 405 of 698)
Condition: The barrel, frame, trigger guard and backstrap retain much of the nickel-plated finish with some flaking. On the bottom side of the barrel at the muzzle shows flaking. The cylinder retains some of the gold plating in the flutes and engraved patterns. The trigger and the hammer retain some of the blue finish. Pearl grips are good with a yellowing patina. The bore has strong rifling with some pitting in the grooves. Can clean to better. Markings are good. Traces of nickel finish, with some traces of gold on the cylinder and in the flutes. Factory letter details this revolver as Nickel and Gold plated model 1894 Double action revolver. The factory letter does not mention engraving, however in handling these over the last 45 years, this is a factory error. It is definitely factory engraved. This revolver has never been refinished or altered. It is in untouched condition.

Colt Model 1860 Civilian Percussion Revolver With Fluted Cylinder

Condition: Retains most of the silver plating with some tarnishing. The loading lever and frame have a couple areas of salt and pepper pitting. The back strap has a darkening patina and the brass trigger guard has a mellow patina. The markings are sharp and crisp. The grips have a pleasing yellow patina. Bore is dark and pitted. Mechanically good.

Condition: Barrel is very sharp and crisp with all of the blue finish turned plum. Cylinder matches the barrel with an even plum look. Frame is sharp and crisp with traces of the original silver finish. Original mellowed ivory grips are very good.

Condition: Retaining most of the original nickel, blue and case colored finish. Pearl grips are excellent. The engraving and the extra polished finish is that of a revolver used for exhibition. This is truly an outstanding factory engraved .32 single action Model 1-1/2.

Condition: This is a very sharp and crisp revolver. The gun retains all the frame-dated 1963 factory refinished silver-plating that has oxidized nicely. The grips are in excellent condition and retain the original varnished "piano" finish. The engraving is sharp and crisp. Overall condition is superb.

Condition: This revolver is very close to being mint. There is only are some minute, very light pitting in the flutes of the cylinder and a little on the underneath of the strap above the cylinder. Overall it retains most of the original nickel finish. The original piano-finish rosewood grips are mint.

Condition: This revolver is sharp and crisp retaining all of the original nickel finish. No wear, just lightly dulled, and has never been cleaned or touched. Case is excellent. Pearl grips are excellent, with one small chip that is not noticeable missing on the left grip at the butt. An outstanding set.

S&W Model 2 Army, aka Model 2 Old Model Revolver

Condition: The rosewood grips are in excellent condition with only minor nicks and dings and retaining the original varnish. The barrel and frame have very light oxidation that blends well with the blue finish. The cylinder has some light oxidation as well. Most all of the original blue remains. Traces of case color on the cylinder pin and hammer with a gunmetal grey patina on these parts. The bore is in excellent condition. Overall condition is excellent. A rare 5” full-blue # 2 Army.

Condition: Revolver retains almost all of the original silver-plated finish, which has nicely tarnished with a blue-grey appearance. The original gold-wash has faded to only traces. Revolver has a sharp and crisp look. Pearl grips are excellent. Case has been refinished, the lining appears to be the original with wear from where the revolver has been laying. Overall a very excellent and rare Smith & Wesson revolver, engraved and silver-plated.

Cased Nimschke-New York Engraved Smith & Wesson Mod 3 American 2nd Model Single Action Revolver

Condition: Revolver is very sharp and crisp retaining most of the nickel finish with some areas of thinning on the sides of barrel. Cylinder retains most of the nickel just lightly dulling. Frame loses some of the nickel finish on the sides. Grips are excellent. Case is excellent, the inside lining is in excellent condition showing some staining where the revolver has been lying. This is a very rare original engraved S&W American in an even more rare case.

Smith & Wesson Model No. 2 Old Model Revolver

Condition: This gun is in overall fine condition showing the majority of its original blue finish. The bore is fine, the action crisp and the markings are sharp. The grips are also excellent with the majority of their original varnish remaining. Hammer and and ejector tube retain all of the original bright case colors. This revolver is very rare in a 5" barrel length and is in almost mint condition with just the sligest streak through the cylinder stops.

Condition: The gun has a flat gunmetal patina, with speckling throughout. The hammer retains some original case coloring. The frame has a few scratches. The grips are heavily worn. The bore and mechanics are very good.

Archive of West Pointer and 7th Cavalryman Col. John M. Johnson,
Lot # 427 (Sale Order: 423 of 698)
John M. Johnson served in the 20th Iowa during the Civil War. He was appointed to West Point from the field in 1863, graduating in 1867. He fought with the 7th Cavalry under Sully and Custer in the 1868 and 69 campaigns and was present at the Battle of Washita. He resigned from the army in 1871 and held several elected offices and entered the law profession. In 1899 -1900 he was an aide-de-camp to Gen. Thomas and Inspector General of the Colorado National Guard.
Condition: Fair to good. The M1860 saber shows age and service wear. The M1860 sword is very well preserved but the reverse clamshell button is missing. The insignia and case are in excellent condition. The diploma has some wrinkles and minor edge wear on the frame. The album cover is cracked on the spine with tape repairs and scoffed on the cover; the contents remain in very good shape.

All markings are sharp and crisp. The grips are very good with minimal nicks and dings. Bore is very good plus. Mechanically very good.
