Condition: Retains most of the professional re-nickel throughout maintaining very sharp and crisp markings and engravings. The grips are excellent and may have been upgraded. Bore is excellent. Mechanically excellent.

Condition: Retains most of the re-nickel finish. Markings are good. Screw heads and trigger retain most of the re-blue finish. The grips are good with minimal wear. The bore is good. There is some pitting. Mechanically good.

U.S. Marked Colt Single Action Army Revolver
Lot # 432 (Sale Order: 428 of 698)
Condition: Barrel retains most of the original arsenal blue finish, with some light staining around the front sight. Ejector tube retains most of the original blue finish with some wear to the edges and front of the tube. Cylinder retains most of the blue finish with a streak through the cylinder stops and finish worn on the front of the cylinder. Right side of the frame with sharp and crisp lines with a silvery grey look. Left side of the frame with traces of the arsenal case colored finish. Hammer with most of the case colored finish just slightly fading to a brown. Backstrap and trigger guard retaining most of the blue finish. Grips are excellent with nice feathered grain wood and two crisp cartouches and dated 1891 above the cartouche on the left side of grip. Mechanically excellent with a bright and shiny bore.

Condition: The bore retains most of the blue finish, with areas of spotting throughout. Most of the finish is worn to the brass on the frame, with some areas of finish remaining in the protected areas. The grips have some very slight handling marks to the edges. The bore is in good condition and could use a cleaning.

Condition: Retaining most of the original blue finish with some wear around the muzzle. The name "ASHBY" lightly scratched into the right side of the frame. Grips are excellent with "KSM" and "JTT 1901" on each side of the grip.

Antique Sawn Off Shotgun Used By Sheriff Frank M. Canton Of Johnson County Wyoming
Lot # 439 (Sale Order: 435 of 698)
Frank M. Canton was the alias for Joe Horner, born in 1849, the son of a Virginia doctor. By the age of 26, Joe was wanted on several counts of rustling, bank robbery and assault. In a Texas Saloon in 1874, he had an altercation with several US Calvary men which lead to the death of one and he soon fled the state of Texas. Upon his from disappearance from Texas he later surfaced as Frank M. Canton. Not only did Frank change his name but he also changed his role in the law. He became sheriff of Johnson County, Wyoming, fighting in the Johnson County War. Frank at one point served under the "Hanging Judge" Isacc Charles Parker of Fort Smith, Arkansas. During this time he helped dismantle Bill Doolin's gang and outdrew Bill Dunn. In later years, he followed the excitement of the gold rush serving as Deputy US Marshall in Alaska. At the age of 78 Frank passed away. He wanted to be remembered as a gun fighter for the law and not his pat altercations with the law. This is all noted on page 215 of Paul Trachtman's book The Old West, The Gunfighters.
Condition: All metal surfaces retain little finish. Mostly a gray patina with subtle hints of plum. The pistol grip and forearm show wear consistent with use. The bores are good. Mechanically good. Holster is good leather with some cracking on the front. Handcuffs show a silvery gray to plum patina. The handcuffs do have the key.

Condition: The barrel and ejector retain some of the blue finish blending to a patina with very fine salt and pepper pitting near the muzzle. The cylinder retains some of the blue finish. The frame and hammer retain areas of case color blending to a silvery gray patina. The trigger guard and back strap retain very little plating with an untouched patina to the brass. The grips are very good with some nicks and dings. Bore has some pitting. Mechanically very good.

Condition: Retains most of the nickel on the barrel and ejector with muzzle wear. The cylinder shows some flaking but the cylinder scene is visible. The frame has some wear near the cylinder blending with the patina. The back strap and trigger guard have been polished and cleaned. The grips are good with a pleasing patina. The bore is good plus. Mechanically very good.

The frame retains some of the case color with some fine salt and pepper pitting. Grips are very good. Bore is good. Mechanically very good.

Factory Engraved New Haven Volcanic Arms No. 2 Navy Pistol
Lot # 447 (Sale Order: 443 of 698)
Ivory grip guns with engraving or a presentation inscription were given to Company officers or people that could increase sales for Volcanic Arms. The serial number range of these guns are near 2067. Serial Number 2067 is a well known gun that was presented directly to Tyler Henry (Page 22, The Winchester Book by George Madis).
Condition: A very old dull re-bluing which could possibly be period on the barrel and magazine tube. Very well done maintaining the integrity of the lines. The brass fame has a nice untouched mustard patina. The markings and engraving are sharp. The hammer and lever both retain dull but visible case coloring. The grips are good with a yellowing patina and minor nicks and dings. Mechanically excellent and bore is excellent.

Condition: The nickel is flaking exposing a silvery to gray patina on the barrel, ejector, frame, back strap and trigger guard. The cylinder has traces of the gold plating in the flutes blending to an overall silvery gray patina. The markings are very good. The grips have a pleasing yellow patina. The bore is good and can clean to better. Mechanically excellent.
