Keeney Air Raider Machine Gun

The object was to shoot at attacking airpl...moreanes diving out of the sky, and the player tried to hit the bull's eye, to see them explode and tumble down, scoring points . Air Raider was a big success during WW II and was on routes for almost 20 years. For the 75th anniversary the company produced a handful of those impressive machine guns in every detail, all polished aluminum. This piece is mounted an a stand. The length on this piece is 35" over all and the grips 9" apart, the rear site at 15" high. It can be articulated higher or lower on the rounded base.

Coin Op Stem Shovel Arcade Machine w/ Base

A 2 player coin op game made by Mechanical World, Arlington Texas. Each player would put in a quarter and turn their handles to move the crane arms and pick up prizes. Th...moreis machine was made in the 1980s and has a State of Texas Amusement Machine Commission sticker in the lower left corner of the glass. Simple instructions are on the buildings. Just turn the handle to the position you want it at, drop in a quarter and turn the wheel again. Right handle turns and moves the arrow to the right and center position. Left side does not move the arrow as it appears to have been disconnected inside the machine. Machine will require some adjustments to get it fully operational again. One Steam Shovel plaque at the top appears to be a newer/restored plaque. Overall good condition. See photos. Measures 43”W x 24”D x 32”T. Comes with a stand that is 43”W x 24”D x 29”T.

These coin op machines were popular in the early 20th century and played by turning a han...moredle to grab prizes with the "digger". Resembles the larger construction crane. This machine has no cracks or chips in the glass. The 2 side doors open up for access to the prize pool. Included are 2 keys and a large assortment of various plastic toys. Electric cable is in good condition and appears to have been updated at some point to the 3 prong plug. Crane moves well when the wheel is spun. Untested but overall good condition. See photos. Foot plate is worn but wording on plate is still clear and legible. Scale works as intended and is stenciled "10411" on interior. Some minor wear to paint on exterior, overall very good condition. Scale under g...morelass panel is clear and legible and one side decal and 2 lower front decals are legible. Other side decal is missing a large fragment. Case has some signs of rust and grip handles for test are speckled with rust. Back panel held on by tape with instructions on inside of back panel. Instructions are soiled but legible under light. Machine works as intended. No key present. Measures 14.5"T x 8.5"W x 13.75"D. See photos.

The back-glass for Space Odyssey was very clearly an adaptation of Robert McCall’s poster art...more for Stanley Kubrick’s film, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and speculation that a lawsuit was forthcoming prematurely halted production of these machines. In overall very good original condition with coin mechs intact, good back glass with no flaking, playfield has some wear. Plays well. Includes keys. Measures 52" long, 22" wide, 72" tall on steel legs.

The art glass top has a few flakes in the paint and silver but does not detract from the machine. It accepts and plays nickels but the electrical part has not been tested. Machine exterior is in very good condition with some minor wear to cherry stained wood top and bottom and some minor wear to metal finish. One patch of yellow on front in top right corner has paint chipped off. Polished steel playing field is in great shape. Top steel marquis retains 95+% of red and yellow paint. Coin operation mechanism seems disconnected, can freely launch balls with all returning to the shooting trough. Comes with key. Measures 16.75"T x 9.25"W x 7.375"D.

Caille Cail-O-Scope Coin Op Viewing Machine

Made by the Caille Brothers of Detroit Michigan circa 1904. Drop a coin in the slot and see 15 different stereo views. Machine has an older restoration. Cabinet has been ...morerefinished, nickel parts re plated, and the original mech cleaned. A large spring motor is wound up with an external crank which will provide approx. 100 plays. The crank is not original to the machine. The card program is Jack Perrin & His Trained Horse Starlight. The marquee card is bent up but can probably be flattened out. Comes with both keys for the service door and cash box drawer. Electric light inside powered by 110v AC. Overall a very nice machine. Measures 48.5" tall on nickel plated cabriole legs, 22" wide, 20" deep.

Rosenfield Coin Op Stereo Viewer

Lot # 2017a (Sale Order: 21 of 306)      

This is the Regent model coin operated stereo viewer made by the Rosenfield Co. of New York circa 1903. Refinished oak cabinet on wood cabriole style legs with glass ball...more and copper oxidized claw feet. Has the Regent plaque on the front door. All metal parts are copper oxidized finish. The mechanism was originally spring wound and battery for the light. It has been electrified with the original spring motor gone. The wiring should be checked. Operates well when a coin is deposited but some of the card frames need to be re soldered. The lock for the front door is currently removed and in the cash box and has no key. A replacement wood marquee has been added as well as a nicely done repro show card for the San Francisco earthquake. 12 repro stereo cards included. Claw and ball feet are loose and care should be taken when moving viewer. Measures 48.5" tall, 17.5" wide, 16.5"deep. Add 23" to height for removable marquee

Clamshell Mutoscope

A classic coin op "clamshell" Mutoscope made by the American Mutoscope Co. of New Jersey, it features an all cast iron reel housing, access door, stand, and marquee. Ther...moree are no aluminum replacement parts. The mechanism seems to be all original including the slug magnet on the coin chute. The reel is a newer Mutoscope replacement titled Sassy Sally featuring a woman in different suggestive poses on a bed. Older restoration on the case. The lock is a replacement. 110 volt power has been added to light the reel internally, and a light has been added over the marquee. Operates on 5 cents. Measures 80" tall including the marquee, 19" wide, 19" deep.

Restored and updated Cail-O-scope stereo card viewer by the Caille Bros. Mfg. Co. of Detroit, Michigan. Oak cabinet has been refinished with marbleized pillars on the fro...morent. Stands on Caille Bros. metal legs. All metal parts have been re plated with a copper oxidized finish. A reproduction oak marquee and show card advertising the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake has been added. Originally spring driven and lit by battery, the mechanicals have been updated with the original flip card mechanism now being driven by an electric motor and lit by a 110v light bulb. A coin mechanism has been added also. A good machine for a route. Measures 50" tall 20" wide, 18.5" deep. Add 20" for the marquee.

Autopede Flying Saucer Amusement Kiddie Ride

Extremely rare Space Age carnival amusement park ride flying saucer UFO, made by L'Autopede of Belgium. This hand-fabricated metal 2-seat carousel ride object is in vinta...morege science fiction style and an extremely rare piece of carnival/amusement park art complete with original antenna and working “clickity-clack” machine gun. This vintage space ride dates from the late 1950s. It's the smaller of two model sizes manufactured by L’Autopede and the hardest and rarest of the two versions to find still in existence. Supposedly, only 15 of this particular model were ever made and this is the first we have seen. Over the years, this flying saucer has been repainted and is in beautiful condition. A custom-made cover to protect the flying saucer for transport or storage is included. (cover does have traces of age and use). Please Note: Under the flying saucer, there are 4 metal legs to stand on. Dimensions: Height: 42.72 in. (108.50 cm) Width: 37.41 in. (95 cm) Depth: 43.31 in. (110 cm).
