WWII M1A2 Grenade Projection Adapter

Lot # 249 (Sale Order: 253 of 1015)

WWII M1A2 Grenade Projection Adapter. The M1 Grenade Projection Adapter was an adapter that allowed the M1903 Springfield or M1 Garand rifles to fire the standard Mk2 Han...mored Grenade (also lovingly known as pineapple grenades) as a rifle grenade. The M1A2 is an improved version of the M1 with a base cup, three prongs, slotted tailfins, and a reinforced tube. The M1A2 would have a grenade placed in the base cup with the spoon held underneath a holder. The end of the tube would be inserted onto a grenade launcher attached to a rifle which would then fire a high-power blank to launch the grenade and adapter. This adapter was produced in 1945 and has the lot number and model name on the tube. A dummy grenade is in the cup and displays the prong that holds the spoon. The adapter has some minor finish scratches on the screws securing the prongs. Very good condition.

DWM Luger Factory Cut Away 30 Luger

Lot # 252 (Sale Order: 267 of 1015)

Factory cut away of a DWM Pistole 08 Luger, chambered in .30 Luger (also known as 7.65 Parabellum). Factory cutaways are often made from the first batch of official produ...morection or pre production as demonstration models to government officials and other potential clients looking to make a contract with the manufacturer. These firearms were made to demonstrate how a new firearm functions to officials as well as armorers and factory staff. Being a cutaway or "Demonstrator's Model', this has an extremely low serial number of 5 and is extremely rare and hard to find. This specific example is a Deutsche Waffen und Munitionfabriken (DWM) P08. The P08 was adopted in 1908 by the Imperial German Army as its first official semi automatic handgun. Numbers on back of the toggle and the front of the frame are matching, making this firearm all matching. Magazine is the correct early version with wooden tabs instead of plastic like WWII Lugers. DWM toggle marking is deep and unfaded. No import marks. Minor spotting on back of frame from handling. Mirror bright bore in pristine condition with sharp, crisp, and deep rifling. No pitting or rust in bore or anywhere on the gun. Bolt face is clean and shiny with no evidence of being fired. Deep bluing in almost perfect condition. Beautiful checkering on the walnut grips and toggle knobs. Grips are in like new condition. Appears almost untouched and in mint condition. An absolute must have for any serious Luger collection. Must see photos. SN 5
