His connections to the SS allowed him to use slave labor to help increase aircraft production later in the war. Portrait is in nice condition and the letter, dated April 1940, translates to "For your friendly congratulations to my birthday, I am very pleased and I would like to have you here. With my warm heart, thank you very much. Heil Hitler! E. Milch, General". Letter is clearly legible with Luftwaffe stamp on top left of letter. Very good condition. Schaub was present in the Fuhrerbu...morenker during the Battle of Berlin and was ordered to destroy all of Hitler’s papers and belongings. He would burn all of Hitler’s belongings in the courtyard of the Fuhrerbunker before flying to Munich and Berghof and doing the same there. He was acquitted of war crimes during the denazification trials. Signature is clear and distinct at bottom of note, handwriting is neat and legible. Note has no damage or fading. Very good condition. He was present in the Fuhrerbunker during the Battle of Berlin at the end of the war and one of the few people to see Hitler alive in the final minutes of his life. Letter is dated April 4, 1970 to Mr. McClure with signature from Heinz Linge. Photo and letter are clear and legible, no fading or damage to either one. Good condition. The front eagle's right shoulder is slightly faded but the rest of the eagle atop swastika is clear and visible. The back eagle has some staining and is slightly obscured. The crate has no lid.
