.69 cal. 26" round barrel with no visible proof marks due to excessive pitting and corrosion, barrel shows widespread pitting, does not have the sling bar or sling swivel...mores, all brass furniture with an untouched aged patina, functioning lock assembly with the plate dated 1851 with eagle and shield motif, date on the barrel tang is illegible due to heavy pitting, barrel appears to have been vigorously cleaned and polished removing all of the original finish, faint cartouche mark on the left side of the stock, small age crack in the stock behind the lockplate, various pressure dents and small scuff marks on the stock, overall fair condition considering its age. 411 NR
