Among the more desirable Philadelphia Mint Liberty Head quarter eagles, the circulation strike 1882 was produced to the extent of just 4,000 coins. This is a lovely example for the grade that would do nicely in an advanced gold cabinet. This is the Only known PL graded example! WOW!

***Auction Highlight*** 1936 Norfolk Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded ms68 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 144 (Sale Order: 107 of 613)

***Auction Highlight*** 1936 Norfolk Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded ms68 By SEGS. The Norfolk Half Dollar Honors the Bicentennial of Norfolk, Virginia's elevation to ...morethe status of Borough in 1736. This Commemorative marked an event of purely local interest, and realized poor sales at the time of issue. In the irony that often accompanies such initial failure, it is now among the Scarcer and More Costly Coins in the old commemorative series. This bill authorized the coining of not more than 25,000 half dollars, to be coined at a single mint and with a single design. The entire mintage of 25,013 Norfolk halves was coined in September at the Philadelphia Mint (the odd 13 pieces were reserved for assay and later destroyed). Points to check for wear include the lower left of each sail and the highpoints of the mace.

Lot # 153 (Sale Order: 115 of 613)

***Auction Highlight*** 1890-s vam 43 R5 TOP POP! Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms67+ By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE MONTH – Up for Auction is the Sole Finest Known 1890-s Morgan...more Dollar. Everything about this borderline MS68 is mind boggling! Absolutely flawless surfaces reveal only two or three microscope ticks, and there are no lines or scuffs to be found. A strong luster enhances beautiful, original untoned silver-grey surfaces. This is not a dull or drab coin! Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full, crisp strikes. The cheek is near perfection and the eye appeal is fabulous! A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1935-s Peace Dollar $1 Graded ms66 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 154 (Sale Order: 116 of 613)

***Auction Highlight*** 1935-s Peace Dollar $1 Graded ms66 By SEGS. Within 1 point of the finest known – This 1935-S is brilliant with full mint frost. It is sharply to...more fully struck and a delight to behold. Just under 2 million silver dollars were struck at the San Francisco Mint in 1935, which was the highest mintage of any issue from the 1930s. Most of these coins followed the trend of previous years and were placed in storage, only to be released by regional banks in 1949 and 1950. There was little numismatic interest in this issue at either its debut or later release, and the conditional rarity of the 1935-S was underappreciated until more recent times. While it is readily available in lower Mint State grades up through Choice, in Gem and above it is remarkably scarce. For collectors assembling an advanced set of Peace dollars this is certainly an important offering. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away Coin

***Auction Highlight*** 1936-s Bay Bridge Near TOP POP Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded ms68 By SEG

Lot # 156 (Sale Order: 118 of 613)

***Auction Highlight*** 1936-s Bay Bridge Near TOP POP Old Commem Half Dollar 50c Graded ms68 By SEGS. ½ of 1 point from the finest known. A captivating piece, both s...moreides sport smooth, billowy mint frost to overall brilliant surfaces. Only in isolated peripheral areas on the obverse do we see some subtle orange-russet highlights, which are notably more extensive around the entire reverse border. The Bay Bridge Opening is a scarce to rare commemorative half dollar at and above the MS-67 grade level that represents a significant find for the advanced collector when such coins are offered in today's market. Tonight’s offering is a stellar ms68, a coin just ½ a point from the finest known. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin.
