The weakness is states on the reverse is often seen on the S-174 variety. Mild Clashing throughout. The S-174 can easily be spotted by the sizeable die chips below the Bow. It is worth noting that there are only 3 s-174 known in Mint State and 1 in au58 and 1 other in au55. I have the other au55 s-174 for your comparison. ***Auction Highlight*** 1836 Reeded Edge GR-12 Capped Bust Half Dollar 50c Graded xf45 details By SE

Lot # 746 (Sale Order: 415 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1836 Reeded Edge GR-12 Capped Bust Half Dollar 50c Graded xf45 details By SEGS. Lovely rim toning highlights this ultra rare 1836 Reeded Ed...morege Half Dollar, GR-1 R2. Good detail throughout the devices. The details designation is due to some light hairlines on the obverse which can be seen with the ad of a loupe. These Reeded Edge half dollars were struck late in 1836 and were some of the first coins struck on the new steam powered coining press. At last the variable human element was removed from striking the coins and the result is a more uniform and predictable strike on each coin made with such a machine. As a tighter collar was used to hold the planchet in place, this no longer allowed for lettering on the edge, as lettering would cause the struck coin to stick in the collar and not eject properly. Thus reeding was imparted by the collar, and coins could be ejected efficiently as part of the striking process and recoil of the dies. The mintage of the Reeded Edge half dollar of 1836 is reported by the Guide Book as 1,200+ pieces of which only a few hundred are known today. This example will serve well to represent this important technological achievement which finally allowed for more mechanized production of dies and of striking the coins in a uniform manner. ***Auction Highlight*** 1884-s Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded Select+ Unc By USCG (fc)

Lot # 751 (Sale Order: 418 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1884-s Gold Liberty Double Eagle $20 Graded Select+ Unc By USCG. This impressive San Francisco Mint double eagle displays bold cartwheel lu...morester and orange-gold surfaces with light rose highlights. Sharply struck and exceptionally attractive, this issue is one of the best produced pre-1900 Type 3 Liberty double eagles and would make a prized addition to an advanced collector's set. Collecting Liberty double eagles by date and mint has been a very popular pursuit in recent times. This enthusiasm has been engendered by several factors. First, large and impressive double eagle coins are interesting to own and provide a store of value because of their gold content. Second, the availability of Mint State coins from three different treasure ships, the S.S. Central America (sunk in 1857), S.S. Brother Jonathan (1865), and S.S. Republic (1865), has widely expanded interest in this denomination. There are more than just a few numismatists who have just one double eagle in their "collection" -- the 1857-S from the Central America. However, going beyond that many have used such a coin as a catalyst to add others. A third factor is that a collection of Liberty double eagles cannot be formed overnight as cherrypicking is recommended for quality. Because of this, enthusiasts can look forward to spending several years or even more gathering suitable examples. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Lot # 754 (Sale Order: 421 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1878 Indian Cent 1c Graded Gem Proof Red Cameo By USCG. This glittering Gem displays profound cameo contrast, especially on the obverse, on...more a base of rich copper-red color and deep mirrors. The strike is sharp, and the devices are frosted. A few hairlines preclude a finer grade. In Gem Red Cameo, the proof 1878 Indian cent is a rarity, and few finer Cameos are known. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away Coin

The roll is h...moreeld in a Rare & Collectable McDonalds Brandt wrapper. Actual roll pictured is the roll you will get. A great original bank shotgun roll with very tight ends. From the feedback we have been receiving, people are happy with these rolls, nearly half the roll seems to be teens, all the rolls have a few Indians, most of the rolls have some steel cents, and a lot of the wheaties are mintmarks. These shotgun rolls are all from a new consignee. They are all frrom one Estate. This particular Roll shows a 1909-s on one end and a VDB reverse on the other end.

Lot # 757 (Sale Order: 423 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1901-p Morgan Dollar $1 Graded Select Unc By USCG. Up for auction is a great 1901-p Morgan Dollar What a great coin! While the mintage of n...moreearly seven million would suggest common date status, it is the RAREST Philadelphia mint date struck for circulation in Mint State. This superb blast white uncirculated example ranks among the top 1901-p examples that have brought to auction by Sandi and myself. Blazing luster, high well peaked brow and terrific cotton bolls. I expect spirited bidding, so bid early and consider your maximum bid so you don’t miss out. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. ***Auction Highlight*** 1934-s Peace Dollar $1 Graded ms64 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 759 (Sale Order: 425 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1934-s Peace Dollar $1 Graded ms64 By SEGS. This example presents outstanding Choice Mint State quality for this key date Peace dollar issu...moree. It is highly lustrous with a softly frosted finish and both sides are brilliant apart from wisps of pale gold iridescence in and around the perimeters. The strike is above average for a San Francisco dollar of this type, with the overall detail bold and the centers showing plenty of emerging definition.Although it did not have the lowest mintage in its series, the 1934-S has long been recognized as the rarest Peace dollar in terms of total number of Mint State coins extant. Writing in his 1993 reference Silver Dollars & Trade Dollars of the United States: A Complete Encyclopedia, Q. David Bowers speculates that many of the 1,011,000 coins minted went into circulation as early as the mid to late 1930s, most being paid out for face value from the San Francisco Mint or West Coast banks. Dealers and other numismatists active in the market of the 1940s paid little attention to the 1934-S, falsely believing that thousands of Mint State coins were still safely tucked away in vaults at the San Francisco Mint. When such pieces failed to emerge during the 1950s or early to mid 1960s, the key date status of the 1934-S in Uncirculated preservation was solidified. I am including an ms63+ and an ms64 example for your comparison. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin
