Thick, frosty orange-gold and umber hues adorn the original surfaces of this select Type Two example. ***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Dunes 1893 Columbian Commem

Lot # 807 (Sale Order: 464 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Dunes 1893 Columbian Commem & 1946 Walker Ends. Up for auction is a Consignment I have secu...morered a collection of old 1960’s Las Vegas Casino Half Dollar Shot Gun Rolls from various Casinos. These Rolls contain 20 Half Dollars. They have tight ends and are wild!. I opened three rolls to examine the contents and what I found was mostly Circulated Walkers, a few Franklins and a Seated coin or two and a couple of Barbers. But after I opened the rolls, I wished I hadn’t as they were so cool as antique Las Vegas Half Rolls. I have only seen a handful of these ever. The consignee has given us some additional rolls. We estimate the rolls to be worth $2000 each as a collectable antique, but if the roll is opened and has a rare date, who knows the value, a 1921 Walker even in low grade is worth over $500, and several other dates are worth over $200 each. But who knows, maybe a rare 1878-s Seated is inside. ($35k in g4), or an 1892-o Barber ($5k in G4). In any event the rolls themselves are amazing collectibles of a bygone era of the Rat pack and Las Vegas. From the rolls we have received there are 10 different casinos. Good Luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1879-o FINEST KNOWN! Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms67 By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 809 (Sale Order: 465 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1879-o FINEST KNOWN! Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms67 By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR - Up for Auction is the Single Finest Known 1879-o, not TI...moreED, THE SINGLE FINEST. None other have ever graded ms67. This coin has long been held in a private collection in New Hampshire, never having been graded, until just before this auction. No other 1879-o has ever risen to this lofty grade, and the example at hand deserves it. In A Guide Book of Morgan Silver Dollars, fifth edition, Dave Bowers does not even mention MS66 examples of the 1879-O. Rather, the silver dollar authority writes: "MS-64 coins are scarce, and in proportion to the demand for them, MS-65 pieces are rare. ... Bag marks are a huge problem." The Premium Gem population is so small that most collectors will never be able to acquire such a coin. No 1879-O Morgans are known finer. This dazzling MS67 coin is at the top of the Condition Census and is truly about as close to perfection as a Morgan can get without crossing that landmark border to 68. We have previously handled a small number of Premium Gems but none above ms65+, making this piece the sole finest that we have ever offered or anyone has ever offered. The strike is sharp, and the luster is frosty and brilliant -- unusual characteristics for an O-mint Morgan that make the 1879-O a favorite issue from this mint. The advanced Morgan collector simply cannot do better than this very coin. Sandi and I take great pride in being able to bring this to you and we wish you great luck. We have given you the only 3 ms66+ to have ever come to auction. Please note the reason ours is an ms67, it should be obvious in comparing the 3 ms66+ coins A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

***Auction Highlight*** 1886-s Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms64+ DMPL By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 821 (Sale Order: 472 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1886-s Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms64+ DMPL By SEGS. HIGHLIGHT OF THE NIGHT - Up for Auction is a superb DMPL 1886-s in Near GEM. In our wor...moreld, this piece is almost a classic rarity! Finding a true full 8" not hazed up mirrored coin is nearly impossible. We are pleased to have been consigned this serious quality piece. Full booming mirrors are deep and beam boldly from all over. There are just a few trivial scattered ticks (as expected). There is no haze on this piece - nor any toning. When you twirl this coin you see the mirrors roll. The contrast is bold. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick frosting. The eye appeal is jaw dropping for sure! The last ms64+ DMPL sold in 2019 and realized $12,338. The current Trends is $15,000. In valuing a DMPL, its all about the mirrors and their look. When you find one like this that is the real deal, be prepared to pay a strong premium. I am including a picture of the only other ms64+ DMPL to go to auction for your comparison. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

The $1 Hawaii Note Came in 7 Blocks the SC Block Which is the most common, Th...moree LC, PC (This Note), CC, and YB Blocks are All equialy as rare but are much less common then the SC Block. Then there are the ZB and AC Blocks which are Very Rare. 1935a $1 Silver Certificate Hawaii, Signatures of Julian & Morgenthau Grades. It was the darkest days of World War II, just after Pearl Harbor. Everybody in Hawaii was sitting on pins and needles. Were the Japanese preparing a massive invasion of the islands? If they did invade, they could use the millions of dollars in currency on the islands to buy war material. To thwart this, these $1 Federal Reserve Notes were sent to the islands. Each has a large HAWAII printed on the reverse. If the Japanese did invade, the currency would be demonetized. After the threat passed, most of these "Hawaii" Notes were destroyed. Today they're hard to find.
