***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Silver City 1893 Columbian &

Lot # 391 (Sale Order: 226 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** Old Casino 50c Roll $10 Halves Las Vegas Casino Silver City 1893 Columbian & 1928 Walker Ends. Up for auction is a Consignment I have secur...moreed a collection of old 1960’s Las Vegas Casino Half Dollar Shot Gun Rolls from various Casinos. These Rolls contain 20 Half Dollars. They have tight ends and are wild!. I opened three rolls to examine the contents and what I found was mostly Circulated Walkers, a few Franklins and a Seated coin or two and a couple of Barbers. But after I opened the rolls, I wished I hadn’t as they were so cool as antique Las Vegas Half Rolls. I have only seen a handful of these ever. The consignee has given us some additional rolls. We estimate the rolls to be worth $2000 each as a collectable antique, but if the roll is opened and has a rare date, who knows the value, a 1921 Walker even in low grade is worth over $500, and several other dates are worth over $200 each. But who knows, maybe a rare 1878-s Seated is inside. ($35k in g4), or an 1892-o Barber ($5k in G4). In any event the rolls themselves are amazing collectibles of a bygone era of the Rat pack and Las Vegas. From the rolls we have received there are 10 different casinos. Good Luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1875-s /cc Fs-502 Trade Dollar 1 Grades Unc Details (fc)

Lot # 403 (Sale Order: 232 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1875-s /cc Fs-502 Trade Dollar 1 Grades Unc Details. Up for auction for the second by Sandi and me is the Legendary 1875-s s/cc Trade Dolla...morer. Per Ron Guth at PCGS “The 1875-S over CC Trade Dollar is one of a group of interesting and unexpected varieties created when mint engravers used dies intended for one of the branch mints, then overpunched the mintmark with that from another. Thus, we see coins such as the 1875-S/CC Trade Dollar, the 1900-O/CC Morgan Dollar. and later issues such as the 1955-D/S Nickel, all of which are important coins to collectors. Currently, the 1875-S/CC is the only major Trade Dollar variety recognized by PCGS. As such, it is the rarest of all the Trade Dollars in Mint State, even edging out all of the celebrated CC issues. PCGS has only ever certified 79 coins as the s/cc. For some reason at least two Carson City reverse dies of the Type I style, with tall CC letters, had the CC mintmark partially effaced and overpunched with an S mintmark. This issue was generally unknown to numismatists until the early 1960s. One of the earliest market appearances of the variety was in New Netherlands Coin Company's sale of December 10-11, 1963; In his Encyclopedia, p. 468, Walter H. Breen credits the discovery to C.H. Farrar, who published the variety in the Numismatic Scrapbook. Today, it is considered to be scarce in lower grades and quite rare in Mint State. As it is the most significant die variety in the trade dollar series. In Mint State, the 1875-S/CC is considered to be slightly rarer than the famous 1878-CC. There are two varieties of the s/cc, the fs-501, which we sold in Spring 1, and the fs-502, which we now offer for auction. The fs-502 is considered considerably rarer than the fs-501, additionally this is a Chinese chop marked example and that even makes it rarer. The penultimate s/cc. Good luck.

***Auction Highlight*** 1928-p St. Guadens Gold $20 Graded ms66+ By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 406 (Sale Order: 234 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1928-p St. Guadens Gold $20 Graded ms66+ By SEGS. An incredible, conditionally rare example of this perennially popular 20th century U.S. g...moreold type. Sharply struck with full smooth, frosty luster, both sides also display lovely toning in vivid golden-apricot. Struck on the eve of the Great Depression, the 8,816,000 double eagles produced at the Philadelphia Mint in 1928 proved to be by far the largest mintage, and also the last readily available issue for the entire Saint-Gaudens series. A significant portion were shipped abroad in international trade while a smaller quantity were paid out domestically. The massive Treasury melts of the 1930s took their toll on the coins that remained. The coins that sat in European and South American vaults fared better with the vast majority that returned stateside beginning in the 1940s and 1950s are Uncirculated. This issue is readily available up through Gem Mint State. However, at the Superb Gem level, the numbers diminish drastically.

***Auction Highlight*** 1860-o Variety 1 Gold Liberty Eagle 10 Graded Choice AU/BU Slider+ By USCG (

Lot # 411 (Sale Order: 237 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1860-o Variety 1 Gold Liberty Eagle 10 Graded Choice AU/BU Slider+ By USCG. Highlight of the Entire Auction – Up for Auction is a Numismati...morec Rarity. An very near Uncirculated 1860-o, one of the final coins struck in the New Orleans Mint, while still under US authority. This example is the Variety 1, which displays bold neck curls compared to Variety 2 and clash marks within the vertical shield stripes on the reverse, from the opening of Liberty's ear. The New Orleans Mint struck 11,100 eagles in 1860, a year in which the Southern factory focused largely on silver half dimes, quarters, half dollars, and silver dollars. Garrett and Guth in their second-edition Gold Encyclopedia call the 1860-O eagles "definitely an underrated sleeper" in the series, and Mint State examples "exceedingly rare." PCGS reports five submissions from MS60 to MS62, while NGC data show seven graded from MS60 to one MS63 (these are almost certainly not all different coins, however). The present piece shows the look of a higher grade to our eyes, attractive reddish-orange surfaces with a good strike in the central reverse but some weakness around the obverse peripheral stars, and scattered ticks and small scrapes of little import. A quite nice example of this historic Southern gold issue. It holds the lone 6th finest example known position. Trends are au58 $10,500 and ms60 $18,500. I wish you good luck in obtaining this rare Civil War New Orleans Mint Gold Liberty. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

Lot # 431 (Sale Order: 246 of 501)

***Auction Highlight*** 1873-cc FS-301 MPD Trade Dollar 1 Graded Select+ Unc By USCG. HIGHLIGHT OF THE AUCTION - Up for Auction is a Rare Uncirculated 1873-cc Trad...moree Dollar, FS-301 Variety. The top of a misplaced 7 is hidden in the denticles below the date on this rare variety. This Select Mint State example shows the usual strike weakness on Liberty's torso, head, and the eagle's right (facing) leg and left (facing) wing tip. The surfaces exhibit satiny silver luster with no toning on either side. I have included an ms63 and an ms64 for your comparison. Note the exact same strike weakness on the ms63 & ms64 examples. A Corey's Pick, Bid to Win, Don't let it get Away, you might not find its equal Coin. I give this coin my highest recommendation

*HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR* 1899-o Top 100 Micro 'o' Morgan Dollar $1 Graded ms63 DMPL By SEGS (fc)

Lot # 433 (Sale Order: 247 of 501)

HIGHLIGHT OF THE YEAR - Up for Auction is a coin that does not exist...Until This coin. Up for Auction is the ONLY KNOWN 1899-o Micro o, TOP 100 in DMPL. WOW! The Mirr...moreors are incredibly sharp and deep. Well beyond the normal required depth for DMPL. The coin has a great Strike with sharp devices and wonderful breast feathers. Light cameos with nice contrast. There are a few scattered marks commensurate with the grade. Besides being the only 1899-o micro o in DMPL, there are only 2 known in PL. A true Rarity. I wish you luck in becoming the owner of the Only known 1899-o in DMPL. Our coin grades ms63 DMPL. I have included another 1899-o micro o in ms63 which sold at auction for $19,200 in 2020, as the 1899-o micro o is also a major rarity just in mint state, we are basing our estimate of value on this non DMPL sale. After discussing this with several major coin dealers, we felt that with just 525 known in mint state and 12 in ms65, we noted that the trends doubled fromms64 to ms65 when the population was so decreased. We estimate the value at $38,000, and being just 2x the ms63 recent sale is conservative. Again we wish you luck.
