.470 caliber, 8" octagonal barrels, percussion forward action locks with safety.  Single set trigger's, walnut stocks with Fleur dis lis checkering with empire butts with horn tips.  Wood ramrods with horn tips.  Brown barrels and case colored breeches and locks. Iron furniture.  Cased in a contemporary walnut casing.  Overall excellent condition.  Bores are excellent and mechanically excellent.

U.S. Federalist Period Officer's Sword

Lot # 32 (Sale Order: 32 of 248)      

29" spearpoint blade with 13" fuller.  Brass hilt with recurved quillion and clamshell guard accompanied by eagle-head pommel.  Fluted bone grip.  Blade fire-blued and gilt with panoplies of arms.  Obverse ricasso marked with "King's head" stamp.   scattered oxidation.  Some wear to bluing which retains an attractive finish.  Grip is slightly loose.  Brass Scabbard shows some age but no serious dents or damage.**

U.S. Model 1855 Springfield Rifled Musket

Lot # 36 (Sale Order: 36 of 248)      

.58 caliber, 40" round barrel, NSN.  Armory bright finish with three-band walnut stock. Dated at the breech 1860, also dated on the lockplate 1860. Three leaf rear barrel sight.  Stock has a ESA cartouche on the left flat at the rear.

**All metal has been lightly cleaned with some staining. Stock has darkened and has some nicks and dings. Bore is excellent.**

Savage Contract U.S. Model 1861 Rifle-Musket

Lot # 37 (Sale Order: 37 of 248)      

58 caliber, 40" barrel, NSN.  Armory bright finish with three-band walnut stock.  Barrel marked "P/V/[eagle]", on the left flat marked "N.J." top flat of barrel dated 1863. Blued three leaf rear barrel sight.  Lockplate marked "Savage F.A. Co Middleton Ct."  and dated 1863 in the rear of the lockplate.  NJ cartouche on the left side of the stock. 

**All metal has been lightly cleaned, with sharp and crisp markings.  Percussion nipple still retains all of the blue finish.  Rear barrel sight retains all of the blue finish. Stock has been lightly cleaned but still retains that nice opened grained look with a mint cartouche.  Stock lines are crisp and sharp.  Bore is like a mirror bright and shiny.  Overall this musket is better than excellent.  It more than likely just had the cosmoline cleaned off.**

Model 1860 Spencer Repeating Rifle

.56-56 caliber,  30" Round barrel, S/N 22731. Three barrel bands, walnut stock and forearm.  The serial number of this rifle is very close to those that were issued to an Illinois unit. 

**The entire rifle is nice with an untouched patina brown and covered in a coat of dried grease to persevere the metal. Rifle comes with an original civil war leather sling. Overall a very good example of  Civil War used Spencer Rifle.**

.58 caliber, 40" barrel, NSN.  Armory bright finish with three-band walnut stock. Breech dated 1863 and the lock is dated 1863. Three leaf rear barrel sight. Lockplate marked with Eagle U.S. Springfield. 

**All metal is smooth and lightly stained.  Sharp and crisp[ markings. Stock shows use with some nicks and dings.  Two legible cartouches on the left in the rear of the flat.  Bore is very good.**

.54 caliber smoothbore, 8.5" barrel,  Lockplate marked "US H.Aston", to the rear "Middlt Conn 1848". Barrel marked near the breech US SM "P".  Walnut stock with two cartouches, brass furniture. 

**All metal is gray with some dark staining.  Some light pitting.  Stock is light with nice open grained wood and two readable cartouches. Overall very good.**

.54 caliber, 6" round barrel, "P" proof near the breech,  marked in the rear of the lock USN 1844, Brass band, triggerguard and buttcap.  Swivel ramrod and walnut stock. 

**Markings are dim, lock has some pitting.  The barrel is smooth and brown stained.  Overall a good example.**

32.25" spear point straight single edge blade.  Brass guard and pommel with foliate guard.  Cast silver plated handle.  Brass engraved scabbard. 

**Blade has been cleaned and etching is thin but visible.  Scabbard with some nicks and dings. Folding clasp is missing the button and spring.  Overall very good.**

U.S. Model 1850 Staff and Field Officers Sword

Lot # 43 (Sale Order: 43 of 248)      

32" blade with single edge etched panels of military panoplies.  The handle is covered in fish skin with brass wire wrapping. The guard is of half -basket design with two branches on the obverse side. The space between the branches are filled with floral designs and "U.S.".
Metal scabbard with brass fittings and blued body. 

**The blade is gray with some staining.  Etched panels are visible.  Scabbard still has a blue look with nice patina on the brass. Handle and guard has nice untouched patina. Overall very good for a rare staff officers sword with metal scabbard.**

.700 bore diameter, 34.25" octagonal flared barrel with makers hall mark near the breech on the top flat.  Notched rear barrel sight with three leafs.  Blade front sight.  Percussion lock which started out in life as a flint and was later converted to percussion during its period of use.  Brass furniture with walnut stock, incised carving and raised carving.  Cheek piece, wood sliding patchbox.   

**Overall very good condition for an early rifle.**

.41 rf caliber, 2.5" barrel, S/N 566.  Barrel is mostly gray and the brass has no finish.  Missing the ejector sear, High hammer with tight grip curl.   

**Grip has two small chips out of the bottom.  The bore has some pitting but the rifling is still strong.  Mechanically works.**

.31 caliber, 3.5" barrel, S/N 7562.  Reblued finish with plain one-piece walnut grip.  Five-shot fluted cylinder.  Brass bead front sight.  marked on top of barrel with two-line Colt address.

**Fair condition as-is.  Reblued finish shows some old covered pitting.  Some darkening and pitting to cones.  Grip is in good condition with no major cracks or splits.  Action is functional.  Bore is somewhat dark.**
