1973 Jaguar XJ 6 NO RESERVE

Lot # 415 (Sale Order: 29 of 114)

VIN# UD1L72326 BW Miles Shown: 28086 Engine:   4.2 liter Inline 6 cylinder W/ 2 Zenith-Stromberg side draft carburetors Transmission:  Borg Warner 3 speed automatic Color...more  Silver Upon its introduction in 1968, the new Jaguar XJ-6 replaced all the sedans which preceded it. It has its signature 4.2-liter DOHC six-cylinder engine with anti-dive suspension, power rack-and-pinion steering, power disc brakes, and an automatic transmission. Inside are red leather seats, walnut fascia throughout, plus enough gauges on the dash for a small airplane. The XJ-6 was the last Jaguar designed by company founder William Lyons, and is said to be “a fine balance of refinement, luxury, and performance.” This Jaguar is a very solid car overall. It has been repainted in its original silver color and the paint looks pretty good.  We wish to point out that we found the car had some prior damage to the rear area at some point and left side of the spare tire well and to the rear valance. The valance also has is showing some rust.  The floors and rocker panels look to be solid. The hood, trunk lid and doors look very good as well. The bumpers and exterior trim are in good condition and the chrome wheels look good. The original Red leather seats and door panels are in good condition. The carpet under the Jaguar floor mats is showing wear. The wood trimmed dash looks very good and the switches and gauges are in nice shape. The gas gauge is not working the oil gauge is slow to respond. It looks like the oil gauge issue may be a sender problem. The radio works and the power windows work. The headliner is in good condition. The lights work but the floor switch for low/high beam doesn’t work. The passenger front seat belt/shoulder belt is stuck fully extended- needs a retractor to correct the issue. The engine starts and runs well with no unusual noises or issues. It has some minor oil leakage (British) but nothing major. The battery is a newly reconditioned unit. The transmission shifts properly and no slipping or abnormal noises were noticed. It does leak some and probably needs external seals and pan gasket. The brakes operate with no visible leaks. The pads still have life left on front and rear. The tires are size P215/70R15. The tread and appearance are good but the date code puts them at pre 2000 and probably late 1995 production so they would be ok for display but should be replaced for driving. The car has a clear Washington title and comes with a spare tire and a bottle jack in the trunk. The Jaguar is overall good condition. We recommend new tires and reconditioning the brakes. This car has been part of a large private collection since 2011 when it was acquired from the original owner who kept it for 38 years.

1968 Chevrolet Corvette

Lot # 417 (Sale Order: 31 of 114)

Anniversary Model Two Tone Silver/ Gray with Red Interior. VIN: 128748S437485. Mileage: 89,253 (original) License: 78VETTE. The vehicle was purchased from the original ow...morener in 2011. The mileage at that time.was 88,796. The engine manifold was changed out by the original owner to a high-rise manifold. However, I do have the original manifold. The rear leaf spring was changed out to a composite one. I do have the original leaf spring. The seats were changed in order to remove the original seats for recovering. This process was not completed. I do have the original seats. I also removed the louvered rear window covering in order to clean the rear window. I do have the louvered rear window covering. I also have the original red T-tops. I had all the oils drained (engine, transmission, rear) and had the oil checked for metal shavings in 2011. There was none. The vehicle has new breaks and a new exhaust system from the manifold back including catalytic converter. Done in 2011. Routine tune up of the engine (including plugs and wires) was done in 2014. Vehicle problems: There is an electrical drain somewhere in the system that causes the battery to drain if not driven for 3 to 4 days. To combat this a battery cutout switch was added. The air conditioner did not work. A new compressor was installed but the system has not been charged so I am not sure if this corrected the problem. The front and rear seals leak if the vehicle sits for an extended period of time without being driven. The dashboard clock does not work. To my knowledge this is a complete list.

1963 Cadillac Coupe Deville

Lot # 420 (Sale Order: 34 of 114)

Car came from Jackson Hole Wyoming *** Believed to be original miles *** and the car drives, and shows as a person would expect a 13,000 mile survivor to be.  She's nearl...morey 60 years old... not perfect, but a VERY nice example The current owners grandparents (she is the executor of the will ) had died in their 90's they Owned the newspaper in Jackson Hole Wyoming, they have 100 acres looking @ teton peak , which is where Mitch Silver (silver Auctions) personally picked up the car The grand parents bought it new, and supposedly only drove it to church & other special functions said the scuffs come from husbands boots because he was always the passenger Deeper investigation does show some light body work has been done to the car, and there is a small rust spot on the passenger side coming through the rocker panel paint Runs and drives incredibly well, power steering, fan, radio, wipers, etc all work as expected We did notice that the dash clock seems to be inop but did not investigate hopefully it's something very simple Underneath the car shows a bit of an oil seep, but it does not leave a spot when parked Recently detailed and buffed out, shines beautifully, interior is immaculate, and it's ready to go anywhere you might want to take it

1965 Mercedes-Benz 230SL

Lot # 425 (Sale Order: 39 of 114)

4 speed. Factory alloys. Same owner for nearly 30 years. Absolutely solid. Nice presentable driver. Finished in German Racing Silver and beautiful “Pagoda” design. The 2....more3 litre six cylinder engine propels this W 113 chassis to very satisfying results. These pagoda cars have brought up to $200,000 in the last few years with 100’s sold for over $100,000. Same owner for decades from Eastern Washington well maintained, used sparingly, always garaged. 57,451 miles believed accurate.Production of the 230 SL commenced in June 1963 and ended on 5 January 1967. Its chassis was based on the W 111 sedan platform, with a reduced wheelbase by 30 cm (11.8 in), recirculating ball steering (with optional power steering), double wishbone front suspension and an independent single-joint, low-pivot swing rear-axle with transverse compensator spring. The dual-circuit brake system had front disc brakes and power-assisted rear drum brakes.[10] The 230 SL was offered with a 4-speed manual transmission, or an optional, very responsive fluid coupled (no torque converter) 4-speed automatic transmission, which was popular for US models. From May 1966, the ZF S5-20 5-speed manual transmission was available as an additional option, which was particularly popular in Italy. Of the 19,831 230 SLs produced, less than a quarter were sold in the US.The 2,308 cc (2.3 L) M127.II inline-six engine with 150 PS (110 kW; 148 hp) and 196 N?m (145 lb?ft) torque was based on Mercedes-Benz' venerable M180 inline-six with four main bearings and mechanical Bosch multi-port fuel injection. Mercedes-Benz made a number of modifications to boost its power, including increasing displacement from 2,197 cc (2.2 L), and using a completely new cylinder head with a higher compression ratio (9.3 vs. 8.7), enlarged valves and a modified camshaft. A fuel injection pump with six plungers instead of two was fitted, which allowed placing the nozzles in the cylinder head and "shooting" the fuel through the intake manifold and open valves directly into the combustion chambers. An optional oil-water heat exchanger was also available.Mercedes-Benz Chief Engineer Rudolf Uhlenhaut demonstrated the capabilities of the 230 SL on the tight three-quarter mile Annemasse Vétraz-Monthoux race track in 1963, where he put up a best lap time of 47.5 seconds vs. 47.3 seconds by Grand Prix driver Mike Parkes on his 3-liter V12 Ferrari 250 GT.[12]

1972 Mercedes 300 SEL 4.5 Liter NO RESERVE

Lot # 426 (Sale Order: 40 of 114)

1972 Mercedes 300 SEL 4.5 Liter VIN# 109057-12-000237 Miles Shown 97339 Engine 4.5 Liter V8 Fuel Injected Transmission 3-Speed Automatic Air suspension Color:  Light Gold...more Metallic This is an original Washington state car with one prior owner, the car has been garaged its entire life. The car was purchased through Phil Smart Mercedes dealership in Seattle but the owners picked up the car at the Mercedes factory in Stuttgart, Germany in October of 1971, toured the country for a short time and then Mercedes shipped the car to Seattle. The car is an American export model, produced for the American Market with extended WB and the 4.5 Ltr engine. The W108/W109 family was first introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1965 from produced through 1972. Throughout the entire production run it was only available as a four door sedan.  Late in 1967 the 300SEL 6.3, was introduced. The only outward difference between the 280's/W108 and the 300's /W109 was a more generous use of chrome around the window areas. The interiors found in the W109 where the finest and most elegant of the line. This W109 chassis was only produced in a four door sedan model with the “L” version being about 4 inches longer. The four inches were added to the back door, making the rear seat area even more comfortable for passengers.  The long wheelbase W109 featured on the 300 SEL, which was equipped with self-leveling air suspension and automatic transmission. Approximately 42,000 Mercedes-Benz passenger cars were sold in the United States in 1972. The engine runs smooth and has good power. It doesn’t have any issues when driving. The car a fresh oil and filter change, along with a new a new air filter. The oil pressure is good and the engine temp stay steady at 180 degrees.   The factory A/C blows cold. The transmission shifts properly with no slipping or other issues detected. It does have some leaks but nothing severe. The brakes operate properly and the car stops straight. There are no abnormal sounds or noises detected. This car has air suspension and it does work properly however, with the age of the vehicle, it might need some attention if you start driving the vehicle regularly. This is a very solid good looking Mercedes and the only rust noticed is a minor spot on the right rear door where the belt molding snaps on and appears to be from the clip chipping the paint. The hood has a spot that has been repaired at some point. The bumpers trim and wheel covers are in good shape with only some small dings in a couple of the wheel covers. The carpets are in good condition. The seats show normal wear but are not torn or split. The dash and instrument panel and knobs are all good. All the power windows operate with the exception of the front door.  The tires look good and have good tread and would be ok for display but the date code shows pre 2000 so they should be replaced before driving the car. This car is very complete with a factory spare and jack with mounting present including a factory card with instructions on how to change a tire. Also included with the car are 2 parts books, a set of emergency triangles, wheel chocks, a service and warranty policy book and an owner’s manual that is for a 300SEL with 3.5.

1946 Ford Super Deluxe 2Dr. Sedan

Lot # 431 (Sale Order: 45 of 114)

1946 Ford Super Deluxe 2-door sedan.  This is a clean, comfortable car.  The body is in excellent condition.  It is all steel with no rust or dents, and doors fit well an...mored close nicely like a new luxury car.  The color is a burgundy that shows more red in bright sun.  The paint is excellent from 10 feet; from a closer distance a few chips and scratches can be seen as shown in the pictures near fenders or doors.  Chrome is clean and shiny.  The upholstery is thicker, stronger and plusher than the original upholstery.  There are no worn spots, stains or faded areas, and  no musty “old car” aroma. The engine is a standard Ford six-cylinder which starts quickly and runs smoothly; however, one can detect the need for some exhaust pipe work.  The car is a good driver and I have used it for that purpose; especially appreciating the aftermarket turn signals. The brake master cylinder and other parts were recently replaced to resolve a spongy brake pedal.    The brake system is now solid and quickly stops the car. The fuel pump, starter, and distributor were replaced to help with the engine starting and smoothness.  The transmission and motor mounts were also replaced.  The tires have good tread and have the Ford Motor Co. logo on the white wall that I wanted to save. The tires were unmounted to confirm good condition and were reinstalled with new tubes and balanced.    I have owned this car for about 5 years and most of my time associated with it has involved cleaning, minor titivation, and short drives of about 15 to20 miles to run errands. The car has been fun to tinker with and drive, and have enjoyed the compliments I received every time the car was out; however I am older than the car and it is time for me to part with it.  This is a great driver, a fun car to take to local shows, and is  a solid platform for addition of the power plant of your choice.

1948 Crosley

Lot # 434 (Sale Order: 48 of 114)

1948 Crosley Pickup.Crosley was a small independent American manufacturer of subcompact cars which produced a variety of models from 1939 to 1952 (interrupted by World Wa...morer II). This is a roundside pickup with CIBA engine and 3-speed transmission. It has 6,748 original miles. The previous owner painted the pickup golden yellow. We bought it in Oregon 3 years ago while on vacation. We have recently put in a remanufactured fuel pump and carburetor. We also had the wheels powder-coated and mounted new tires. The pickup comes with a lot of provenance including original service manual, Crosley Quarterly Magazines, and a file of information from the previous owner. This is a fun little pickup to tootle around town in or take to car shows. You’ll get a ton of attention and questions asking what it is. It always brings many smiles!

The prior owner cruised the boat for 30 years and the dated survey shows some deferred maintenance. The survey is available for inspection along with the vessel, but is not duplicated nor distributed as sales literature. This boat needs restoration. To be used as desired. As with all wooden boats it will be a labor of love.
