Rolling Block .45 LC Colt Rifle - Possible Pedersoli

Lot # 101 (Sale Order: 101 of 200)

This vintage rolling block rifle has not markings other than "45 L.C." on top of the barrel. The barrel is a 28" blued round barrel, muzzle mic'd at .48" at breech inside diameter. I have personally taken it apart looking for other stampings but unsuccessful. It does show some pitting inside the receiver, so I do believe this has been reblue at some point in its lifetime. The rifling appears to be clean and sharp. This rifle features a straight 13.5" wood stock and wood foregrip, flip up adjustable notch rear sight and brass fixed front blade sight. The actions still work smoothly. Does show a few rust spots on the trigger, hammer, and trigger guard but otherwise appears to be in great condition. This firearm has been well kept and maintained by a veteran collector.
