Description

Why did Samuel Colt produce only pistols and Oliver Winchester only rifles? The sacred lore of firearms legend holds that these two giants of the Industrial Revolution, after a tentative foray into each other’s territory, sat down and forged a “gentleman’s agreement” that there would be no further incursions.
This Colt & Winchester auction features over 140 firearms for collectors and arms enthusiast! Also includes rare ammunition and other collector items.
This auction will be online and live on Saturday March 27th. Preview will begins at 10am, auction to commence at 12 noon EST.

Serial #70BS21983. This series 70 Commander features a 4.25" barrel, classic loophole hammer, Hogue finger groove grips, and fixed notch & ramp sights. Comes equipped with an 8 round magazine. Standard markings are crisp and clear. Does show wear in the finish, especially on the slide (about 80%), but still appears to be in great condition. This firearm has been well kept and maintained by a veteran collector.

1914 Springfield Armory US Army United States Property 1911 (1st Year!) .45 ACP Semi-Auto Pistol

LOW SERIAL #75224. This United States Military issued 1911 was one of the first made by Springfield Armory, contracted by Colt Mfg to accommodate the demand of these great pistols during WWI. This pistol is stamped cleary on the right side of the barrel "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY", Eagle logo is faded. Serial number crisp and clear on the frame. Right side of the barrel clearly stamped "PATENTED APR.20,1897 SEPT.9. DEC.19,1905 FEB.14,1911 COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG. CO." "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY U.S.A." "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "Flaming Bomb" Insignia mark on the back right side of the slide and on frame just behind the trigger. Features the blued / black finish, and checkered wood grips. This historical pistol appears to be in great condition for its young 107 year old age! (about 85%) This firearm has been well kept and maintained by a veteran collector.

1965 Colt .38 Special Kit Gun Semi-Auto Pistol w/ Colt Archive Letter 8th Infantry Captain US Forces

Lot # 29 (Sale Order: 29 of 200)      

LOW Serial #00627-H. Features a full size 5" barrel, blued finish, ramp front sight, adjustable rear sight, and checkered wood target grips with oversized magwell. Archive letter shows this was shipped to Captain Jack A. Craig 8th Infantry Division Advanced Marksmanship Unit U.S. Forces in 1965. This .38 Special kit guns consisted of a completely assembled receiver with all other parts wrapped separately. The parts required hand fitting by a professional gunsmith. Includes original magazine. This rare pistol does show some slight wear in the finish. This pistol has been well kept and oiled from a highly particular collector years after its marksman range days. An excellent piece to add to any collection!

1918 US Army Military Colt Remington UMC 1911 .45 ACP Semi-Auto Pistol United States Property

Serial #268516 (1917). This 1911 features dark stained checkered wood grip panels, and is stamped on the left side of the frame "United States Property". Left side of the slide is stamped "COLT'S PT.F.A. MFG. CO. REMINGTON UMC (encircled) MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTON ARMS UMC CO INC BRIDGEPORT, CONN. U.S.A." Right side of the frame above the trigger is stamped "No 268516". Right side of the slide is stamped "MODEL OF 1911 U.S. ARMY CALIBER 45". 1 magazine included and stamped on the bottom "Colt 45 Auto". Stamped "JMG" Monogram on left side of frame just behind the trigger marks J.M. Gilbert as inspector. This historic pistol does show quite a bit of wear in the blued finish however it has been well kept and oiled from a highly particular collector.

1913 Winchester 1892 .218 BEE Lever Action Sporting Rifle

Serial #704427. One of the most famous hunting rifles of all time. This iconic lever action rifle was later retrofitted to accommodate the .218 BEE caliber. Features a 25" round blued barrel, blued receiver equipped with Williams adjustable rear peep, Redfield front fixed sight, crescent wood stock with blued metal buttplate and wood foregrip. Standard markings are crisp and clear! Barrel is stamped "218 BEE" only. This rifle appears to be in great condition for its age! May have seen some repair work on the barrel ring - see pictures. This rifle has been well kept and oiled from a highly particular collector.

The original blue finish is fading and there are some dings in the receiver plate and a few character dings in the stock. Standard markings are very legible showing just light wear. Magazine is stamped "32 Cal" on base. All standard markings are crisp and clear! Blue finish shows some wear but still in the 90% range! This rare rifle appears to be in excellent condition. 1904 Winchester 1895 .30 US Lever Action Sporting Rifle

Serial #44493. Winchester's first successful non-detachable box magazine rifle designed for higher powered smokeless cartridges. This gorgeous rifle features a 28" blued round barrel, blued receiver, crescent wood stock with blued metal buttplate, wood foregrip, buckhorn rear sight, and fixed front sight. It does appear to have had an additional bolt added to the stock at some point in its lifetime for added stability. This rifle appears to be in excellent condition - 95% range!

Features a blued finish, wood grips with bronze medallions, and engraved slide with gold one lettering. Left side of the slide is engraved with a troops in a battle scene and rampant pony in a circle in the corner, all inlaid with gold tone. Left side grip features a bronze medallion of Eagle "1917-1918 WORLD WAR" and a banner below "BELLEAU WOOD". Right side slide is engraved with scroll and banner "1917 WORLD WAR I COMMEMORATIVE 1967" inlaid with gold tone. Includes factory magazine. A few scratches on the right side frame and slide but otherwise this pistol is in great condition!

Serial #138116. This 1st Edition model six shooter features a 7.5" barrel, blued finish, notch & ramp sights, stainless hammer, and the original black checkered Eagle embossed grips. Serial number is stamped on the butt of the frame, on the trigger guard, and on the bottom of the receiver. Left side of the barrel is stamped "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" and patent dates stamped on the left side of the receiver under the cylinder, caliber stamped on the left side of the trigger guard. Markings are crisp and clear. This revolver shows very minimal wear in the finish, and is in excellent condition for its age! This firearm has been well kept and oiled from a highly particular collector.

Serial #232597. This Bisley model revolver features a 5.5" barrel, blued finish, case hardened receiver, and original brown checkered grips with Rampant Pony logo. The left side of the barrel is stamped "(BISLEY MODEL) 38 W.C.F. The serial number stamped on the butt of the frame, the bottom side of the receiver, and on the trigger guard. Colt archive dated shipment on September 18, 1902. This revolver does show wear in the finish, but a great addition to any collection! It has been well kept and oiled from a highly particular collector.

RARE Colt Trailblazer Single Action Army .45 Abercrombie & Fitch Revolver with Display Case

Serial #218 of only 400 made in 1966. This gorgeous revolver was made as a commemorative for the Abercrombie & Fitch sporting goods company in Chicago. Features a 7.5" blued barrels with "ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO." marked with gold highlights on left side of barrel. "Colt Single Action Army .45" engraved on the right side of the barrel. Case colored receiver. Ejector rod, cylinder pin, screws, hammer, trigger, trigger guard and grip straps are all gold plated. Beautiful Trailblazer engraved cylinder. Butt of the frame is engraved "CHICAGO". Presentation case lined with blue velvet and blued engraved Trailblazer plaque. Includes keys for the case and brass plaque for engraving. This revolver has never been fired, and has been well kept and oiled from a highly particular collector. In excellent condition!

Serial #280049. This 1906 revolver features a 5.5" barrel, notch & ramp sights, six shot cylinder, and factory black checkered grips with Rampant Pony logo. Colt archive letter reflects this revolver as a blued finish, however it is nickel plated. Date of shipment is August 22, 1906. This revolver appears to be in great condition for its age! The grips do have a few worn spot on the bottom as shown. It has been well kept and oiled from a highly particular collector.

Archive letter included reflects shipping to US government in Bush Terminal in Brooklyn, NY on October 28th, 1918. Does show wear in the finish.
