1908 Winchester model 1886 RARE .33 WCF Lever Action Takedown Rifle

Lot # 75

Serial #145197. This John Browning rifle was originally designed for use with black powder, the action was strong enough to make the jump to smokeless powder with only minor modifications, and was subsequently chambered in the smokeless .33 WCF cartridge as you see here. With the introduction of the Winchester Model 1886 the world of lever actions was changed forever. No previous lever action ever handled as well. No previous lever was as strong. No other lever action ever offered chamberings in such powerful cartridges. This Take Down version allows the owner to quickly break down the rifle into two components making it easy to store and carry. This rifle features a 24" round blued barrel, half magazine tube, straight wood stock with checkered steel buttplate, rear adjustable notch sight, and side adjustable half moon front sight. Standar markings are crisp and clear. This rifle appears to be in excellent condition for it's young age! This firearm has been well kept and maintained by a veteran collector.

Rolling Block .45 LC Colt Rifle - Possible Pedersoli

Lot # 101

This vintage rolling block rifle has not markings other than "45 L.C." on top of the barrel. The barrel is a 28" blued round barrel, muzzle mic'd at .48" at breech inside diameter. I have personally taken it apart looking for other stampings but unsuccessful. It does show some pitting inside the receiver, so I do believe this has been reblue at some point in its lifetime. The rifling appears to be clean and sharp. This rifle features a straight 13.5" wood stock and wood foregrip, flip up adjustable notch rear sight and brass fixed front blade sight. The actions still work smoothly. Does show a few rust spots on the trigger, hammer, and trigger guard but otherwise appears to be in great condition. This firearm has been well kept and maintained by a veteran collector.
