Master engraved in 19th century bank note scroll, D coverage, gold plated cylinder, grip strap, trigger guard, hammer, ejector assembly, rear sight, loading gate and trigger. Grips are ivory with gold medallion. Features a flat top frame, target sights, Colt Frontier Six Shooter on barrel. Condition. Near mint as custom finished. Fine action with solid half cock, Near mint grips. Strong bore with some frosting and minor abrasions. Absolutely breath taking. C&R DB

SERIAL NUMBER: 33.419. BARREL: 27-1/2". CALIBER: 16 GAUGE. MANUFACTURED: 1940S. "FRANZ SODIA" and "FERLACH" marked on the chambers. No import/export marks found. Matching serials on the frame, barrel and hand guard. Solid matted rib, with brass bead sights. Original blued finish. Case colored frame, with fine scroll engraving. Double triggers and tang safety. Oiled wood stock and forearm. Checkered wrist and forearm. Check piece on the left side of the butt. European style narrow metal sling swivels. Added plastic cap on the pistol grip and brown rubber butt pad. Improved modified/full choke bores. Chambers are likely 2-1/2". LOP is: 14". CONDITION: Metal retains 75% finish, with general wear. Wood has handling marks, scrapes and dents. Chunk missing from the left side of the tang. Both sides of the wrist are cracked. Bores are clean overall. Tight lockup. C&R JWA

Framed litho with attached brass plaque "DUPONT 1908 TROPHY / WON BY / J.P. Carr", also marked LLC "TONY'S GALE / BY ANTONIO-NELLIE G. / 1898". Litho measures 16" x 21 1/2", matted and framed to 27 1/2" x 33 1/2". Artist marked EDMUND HENRY OSTHAUS (1858-1928) One of America's greatest sporting-dog artists. Osthaus was appointed head instructor at the Toledo Academy of Fine Arts in 1886. "Osthaus was at the height of his fame in the late 1890s and early 1900s. During this time he began a famous series of portraits of the National Field Trial Championship winners. Osthaus painted every winning dog from 1896 through 1910. The series included some of the most famous bird dogs in the nation's history such as Count Gladstone. These portraits and other Osthaus works were picked up by the DuPont Powder Company, which published them on postcards and calendars to advertise the company's smokeless gunpowder. The DuPont series establshed Osthaus' fame among the general public during his lifetime. At the time he was collected by many of America's wealthiest families and by some of the most prominent sportsmen of his day including the Vanderbilt's, Morgan's, Hobart Ames of Boston, Pierre Lorillard of New York and Harry Edwards of Cleveland. Not examined outside of frame but appears to be in superb condition.

Titled "The Bark Cutters" , one of an edition of 125 canvas artist signed prints, professionally framed. Image measures 35.5 x 25.5" framed to 42.5 x 30.5". Comes with artist signed certificate of authenticity. Griffing describes himself as a painter of the Woodland Indians and focuses on a time that marked the beginning years of chaos and uncertainty for the Woodland tribes as they struggled to survive the encroachment of Europeans. This work features Graceful birch bark canoes gliding silently across a mirror-like wilderness lake. Beautifully framed and matted. The original oil sold for $165,000 and this Giclee edition is long sold out.
