SERIAL NUMBER 1000 BARREL 7 1/2" CALIBER .44 LIP FIRE MANUFACTURED CIRCA 1860. One of a estimated 250 total produced when production was halted over the Rollin White patent infringement suit. A very scarce Civil War era Revolver with unique lever activated cartridge ejector and top hinged loading gate . a very rigid and strong action with a solid top strap. Case colored hammer with deep highly polished blue finish. Octagon to round barrel with 2 piece narrow pattern varnished walnut grips. Revolver is all matching serial numbers including grips. This is an exceptionally fine example. CONDITION. Superb with most all blue finish remaining. Brilliant bore and proper operating action. Grips have one gouge on left side but otherwise superb. A very rare and fine condition Civil War era cartridge revolver. ANTIQUE TDW

1820's EAGLE HEAD ARTILLERY OFFICERS SWORD

Simon Helvis & Fils, manufacture Ivory handle with fine twist wire braid wrap. Gilt brass Eagle head pommel with cast scalloped guard with Eagles on both guard guides. Broad 29" swept blade with niter blue finish with gold overlay with scrolls and stands of arms. on both sides. Outstanding brass scabbard with 3 hanger rings with floral stamped embellishment. . CONDITION. Very good with blade being full sized and with out distress. Left side of blade has lost most of the blue over time right side is retaining 30% with considerably more guilt. Makers marking "SHF" in scrip with gold is on is on right ricasso. Scabbard is very fine with nice patina and only a few pushes or dents with excellent undamaged drag. Gilded brass Eagle head pommel with knot ring and 5 ball guard with leather washer. Housed in sewn black leather scabbard with brass top and gilded brass hanger collars. CONDITION. Fine with most of the thinning blue remaining with some minor period of use nicks in edge. Scabbard is supple and full sized without breaks. Iron guard dated 1821 with grooved black leather handle. Very fine unmarked blackened iron scabbard with full drag and two forged hangers. CONDITION. Very good with blade being bright, Handle is dry with some minor flaking and crazing. Guard is very fine with legible date. Ricasso marking remain crisp. Single Action Starr .44 Army revolver with US inspectors cartouche on grips. 6 shot non-fluted cylinder with 12 safety notches. Round barrel with blade front sight with slotted hammer rear sight. Small US sub-inspectors markings on barrel & frame. One piece varnished walnut grip. Revolver is fitted with a previously unknown detachable shoulder stock specifically designed and fitted to the Starr revolver. Varnished walnut with brass attaching cup and iron tensioner. Iron carbine butt plate with trap for tools in butt. CONDITION, Very good with revolver having a fine uncleaned natural patina. All markings remain crisp and legible. The grips is full sized and without distress. The action operates properly and locks solidly. Very fine strong bore. The stock is very fine and appears to have been with the revolver for very long time. Well fitting and without distress. The wood has a few bruises but no material losses. MASS ARMS MAYNARD PRIMED BELT REVOLVER

SERIAL NUMBER 56 BARREL 5" CALIBER .31 MANUFACTURED 1851-57. Manufactured by the Massachusetts Arms Company in Chicopee Mass, A total production is estimated at around 1000. Using the Maynard tape prime ignition and single action design. Hinged receiver with barrel tilting upward to load and or clean the revolver. Blue finished barrel with case colored frame, Brass trigger guard that is silver washed and brass silver washed backstrap. Maynard tape prime door has patriotic Eagle with Shield and patent dated. One piece varnish walnut stock with machine cut mortise for lock. Primary parts are all numbered 56 internally. A group of 200 of these revolvers went to the Abolitionist John Brown with the initial shipment to Ohio and then forwarded to Kansas in 1859. CONDITION. Good with barrel retaining and abundance of blue finish. The cylinder still has visible acid etched cylinder scene. Frame has case colors in protected areas. Backstrap and trigger guard retain much original silver. The Maynard tape prime ignition system still operates. Unique as a push button in the trigger guard allows for cylinder to be unlocked and manually rotated as this system was not capable of rotating the cylinder automatically to comply with Colts Patents. The grip is very good with a small amount of wood loss around mortise. Action operates properly. Bore is very good. ANTIQUE TDW

Frame and Maynard tape prime door have broad scroll engraving with door having patent dates. 2 piece walnut grips scales. A number of these little revolvers have been excavated in Civil war camps and battle field. CONDITION. Good with barrel retaining a small portion of the blue finish. The frame and cylinder have toned to a brown patina with all engraving and markings remaining crisp. The action operates properly. The grips are very good, full sized and with out material loss. All Primary parts marked "6" Early rounded cylinder with lead-in slots to bolt stops. Pistol is either a period made Brevette copy or a later copy for display purposes. All parts appear to be Colt including the Rim-Fire frame and hammer. An interesting revolver with areas of restoration. CONDITION. Good as restored and operational. SERIAL NUMBER 335811 BARREL 5 1/2" CALIBER 45 ACP MANUFACTURED 1933. Offered by Colt starting in 1933 with a very limited production of an estimated 1000 revolvers. The Commercial Model 1917 was a parts clean-up from existing stock. These depression era guns came with commercial finishes as opposed to the earlier 1917-19 Secondary polish that the Gov't procured revolvers had. Checkered walnut grips with Rampant Colt monograms and no lanyard swivel. Still chambered for the .45 acp with 1/2 moon clips or the then available 45 auto rim cartridge. A very limited Pre-War2 issued revolver with few encountered. CONDITION, Very good with excellent bore and properly operating action. Good grips. Barrel retains 90% thinning blue finish Frame retains 85% blue finish with losses at grip straps. The cylinder is very fine with over 85% finish. Grips are excellent. C&R TDW

Silver washed backstrap and trigger guard. 6 shot non-fluted rebated cylinder with Naval engagement cylinder scene by W,M, Ormsby'. Oil finished 1 piece walnut grips with vivid US inspectors cartouche "JT" for John Taylor who only inspected Colt 1860 revolvers 1861-63. All matching serial numbers including wedge. CONDITION, Very fine with over 30% blue finish on barrel, 15% blue on cylinder in the more protected areas, frame retains 60% vivid case colors, backstrap & trigger guard retain 40% silver with balance worn or tarnished. Grips are very fine with a few minor dents. Action operates properly and bore and chambers are exceptionally fine. Cylinder & barrel both have 2 areas of deep pitting from being in a wet holster. Attributed to John Young of Michigan City Indiana, Half Stock percussion lock with heavy 40 caliber octagon barrel 36" long and 1-1/8" across the flats marked "J YOUNG" on top flat. Double set triggers with Leman pattern trigger guard and butt plate. Poured pewter forend cap with2 rod pipes. Attractive oval brass patchbox . Fine narrow blade front sight with standing semi-buckhorn rear sight. Stock is of nicely stripped maple with period oil finish. Equited with hickory loading rod. A very classic American 1/2 stock with some period burnout around hammer and drum and some areas of pitting on lock from ignition. CONDITION, Very good with fine full sized stock. Good strong bore and a very attractive untouched brown patina. Lock operates but double set trigger need attention to operate properly. ANTIQUE TDW

"I Won't Be Wronged, I Won't Be Insulted" is on the left, again in gold inlay. Is signature is found on the left side of the chamber, with the right showing a gold inlay stagecoach scene. Solid rib with brass bead front sight. Hammered box lock frame with laser scroll engraving. High polish blued finish throughout, with double gold washed triggers. Tang safety. Gloss finished wood stock, with fine cut checkering on the wrist and forearms. Smooth metal butt plate has Wayne silhouette, and scroll engraving on the border. 3" chamber. CONDITION: 99% plus, being still in the grease/plastic. Wood is also in its plastic sleeve. Gun does not appear to have ever been assembled. Bore is mint, being filled with factory oil.
