SPAINISH ASTRA MODEL 600/43 SEMI AUTO PISTOL 9MM

SERIAL NUMBER: 54962 BARREL: 5 1/4" CALIBER: 9MM MANUFACTURED: 1943. In 1943 the German government requested Unceta y Cia redesign the Astra 400 to fire the 9×19mm Parabellum cartridge. In late 1943, fifty examples of the newly designed Astra 600 were sent to Germany and were approved for issue to German armed forces, receiving the designation Pistole Astra 600/43. Approximately 50,000 were ordered by Germany, with the first delivery of 2,950 pistols taking place on 16 May 1944. A second shipment of 5,000 pistols reached Germany on 23 June, and a final shipment of 2,500 pistols were shipped to Germany on 16 July 1944. Supply to Germany stopped when German occupation of the border between Spain and France ceased and supply lines were cut. Metal is Blue steel with polished barrel and wood checkered grips. CONDITION: Metal is 95% with light finish wear, bore is Bright. Grips are Excellent. C&R

SERIAL NUMBER: 128436P. BARREL :3-7/8". CALIBER: .22 LR. MANUFACTURED: PRIOR TO 1941/PRE WAR. Superb pre war Walther PP chambered for .22 LR Proofed crown over N on chamber sleeve as well as on barrel at front 9 o'clock position and on rear of ejection port on slide. Right side of slide is marked with Walther in banner and "Waffenfabrik Wather, Zella-Mehlis(Thur)" " Walther's Paten Cal.22" Mod.PP. Pistol retains 99% of the original commercial blue as well as 80% of the fire blue on the extractor, The pistol is as new internally and suffers no distress. The bore is excellent and the pistol shows no actual use. The unmarked magazine is fitted with the black plastic finger rest. The checkered black plastic grips with Walther in banner are equally fine with a small crack emanating from the screw hole on the right grip and is only visible from inside. Truly an exceptional example of a Pre-War Walther .22 that would be very difficult to improve upon. C&R

Unique cocking and decocking lever with toggle safety on slide. Eagle N proofed with waffenamt 37 inspection. Checkered black Bakelite grips with Sauer & Sohn monogram. Pistol is blue finish with matte slide top and drift adjustable rear sight. Bore is very fine. Action operates properly but is very sluggish from being full of old storage grease. Grips are very fine with no cracking, Still retains original magazine. The 38H was probably the most advanced pistol of the period and and were used extensively by German troops. Light rust spots on the frame and slide. C&R

Produced by Beretta with commercial high polish blue and 2 piece commercial black stippled grips with steel liners and having the PB monogram. These 4UT marked pistols were issued to the German paratroopers and Italian commandos under Skorzny who rescued Benito Mussolini and returned him to power. Later groups of these pistols were shipped directly to Germany and some are believe to have been sold to the Japanese. Serial numbered on slide and frame with left side of slide marked "P. BERETTA -CA-7.65 BREVETTATA GARDONE V.T. 1944" . Right rear of frame is marked with "4UT" marking in oval. Comes with reproduction canvas holster. CONDITION, Metal is 75% with wear from use. CALIBER: 9MM CORTO The metal surfaces of this 1944 dated pistol retain about 75% arsenal grade reapplied blue, the right side of the frame, grip frame and portions of the slide toned to brown, a moderate amount of old pitting under the new blue finish, minor freckling, and handling marks. The hard rubber factory grips with Beretta logo rate very good plus showing light handling wear. The pistol has a fixed front sight, drift adjustable rear sight, and lanyard loop. The slide and barrel are correctly numbered to the gun, the gun functions mechanically, there is a “[crown / lion in a circle]” proof on the left side of the frame and the slide is dated “1944”.
