SERIAL NUMBER: 565814,. BARREL: 9 3/4". CALIBER: 8MM chamber, 22mm rocket tube. The pistol features an aluminum frame with blued steel rocker tube, Grips and handle are walnut. The left side of the frame is marked “Sander Leinenpistole / D.R.P. 565814 with the safety located in back of the trigger guard. The Leinenpistole was used by the German Navy in WWII, mainly by U-Boats, also by the Army Alpine troops. A 22mm rocket was loaded into the barrel and a steel mount was slipped over the barrel and connected to the rocket, the mount with a harness for connecting the rope. When ready to fire an 8mm blank was loaded into the breech, aimed at the other ship, and fired. CONDITION: Fine, Looks to be complete and original. No German military proofs were noted. Wood is very good with light handling marks. Action works properly. A rare and interesting line throwing pistol. NON GUN- NO FFL

CONDITION: Metal has about 90% blue and a very good bore. Wood grips are Excellent. An Asian Pattern, black leather holster and photocopies of Vietnam capture papers are included. C&R

The Assembly numbers on the receiver and barrel assembly also match. They however are always different numbers. Standard Type 99 sights with anti aircraft wings present. Military blued finish. Original cleaning rod. The name BRAATEN is stamped into the left side of the stock and forearm assembly's. Oral history states that this is the person who acquired it at some point. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% finish, with light wear and some areas of cleaned patina. Wood has impressions, dents and scrapes. Bore is clean overall, with very good overall rifling. Mechanically fine. C&R

All original. Barrel has "C' proof marked about 1 inch from flash hider and "M" proof mark between the legs of the A1 style front sight. The early barrel is marked '12' on underside, indicating it has the 1x12 inch twist. Semi-auto BCG features chrome bolt and manganese phosphate bolt carrier. Three prong flash hider is present, as is bayonet lug. Early triangular handguards, M16A1 fixed carry handle receiver and early style buttstock, with no provisions for internal storage. Finger groove straight stock with checkered 1903A3 Remington butt plate and later production type 3 hand guard. Updated with later sight windage knobs and swept bolt. Parkerized for post WW1 issue. 7-18 SA dated barrel with milled barrel band. CONDITION. Good with most parkerized finish remaining, bore is worn with frosting in grooves. Stock is sanded with no inspections visible but remains good. Action operates properly. Missing Elevation Thumb wheel from rear sight. C&R
