Manufactured July of 1944 and later overhauled by Springfield in 1964 with "SA / 12-64" marked in electropencil below the woodline. Rifle retains original Winchester proofed barrel with protected blade front sight and post war aperture rear. Bolt and trigger group are Winchester production. Cut Springfield op rod. Classic profile stock glass bedded for accuracy with encircled "P" firing proof and DOD eagle stamp. Complete with green woven sling, cleaning tools, 120 rounds of commercial PPU .30-06 ammunition (not marked for Garand rifles), 2 loaded en bloc clips, and 4 empty clips. CONDITION: Good as rebuilt. Arsenal reapplied parkerized finish shows light wear. Stocks have a cleaned, dry appearance with scattered impressions. Very good, bright bore. ME of 2. TE of 3. Fine mechanics. (M) RARE PRE-BAN NORINCO MODEL 84S SEMI AUTOMATIC RIFLE.

Developed as a classic AK pattern semi automatic rifle chambered in the more common 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge for the American market, CSI began importation in 1988 although importation ceased just 1 year later with the passage of the 1989 import ban. This example is finished in full matte blue with perforated flash hider, bayonet lug, protected post front sight, and tangent rear. Standard military style Chu wood stocks with trap butt plate. Rifle is accompanied by a correct style but not numbers matching orange bakelite bayonet with scabbard. CONDITION: Near excellent. Rifle retains nearly all of its factory blued finish with some mild handling and wear, as well as traces of dried grease. Stocks likewise have some handling marks, the finish starting to crackle. Strong bore with grease. Fine mechanics. Bayonet is very good with a few scuffs. Late production circa Spring 1944. Marlin barrel with with milled "SN" front sight and "I.R. CO." rear sight. Internals appear largely correct including flat bolt and push button safety, the hammer appears to be a "IN" replacement. "TN" marked low wood stock marked on the right with the ordnance wheel and "NPM / FJA" cartouches. Left side marked "ARAF". "TN" marked top wood retained by a "UN" flat band. National Postal Meter carbines with late features including low wood stocks and adjustable rear sights are very scarce although this appears correct. CONDITION: Very good. Barrel retains the vast majority of its correct dark arsenal finish, the receiver likewise retaining significant portions of finish with some expected moderate wear. Stock is fine as lightly sanded and reoiled. The cartouches on the right side appear to have been covered when the stock was sanded remaining legible compared to the "ARAF" marking. The barrel is stamped "7.62mm", "SA11019451-5/65-5018-M" with DOD eagle. Rear sight is a post-War T-105 type. The left side of the walnut stock has the 1/2" DOD 3-star eagle cartouche as well as the proof P on wrist. The cut op-rod is stamped "D35382 SA". The lower receiver is stamped "D28291-32". The trigger guard is stamped "C46025 W.R.". Has green stenciled web sling. CONDITION. Excellent, with a well defined bore. Blue finish is very good with several minor areas of distress at muzzle, heel of butt and leading edges of frame. Most straw finish is remaining with balance being rather spotty.
