Included in this lot we have a Frank J. Haynes albumen photograph featuring the Golden Gate in Yellowstone National park and originating from 1888. Frank Jay Haynes, known as F. Jay was a professional photographer, publisher, and entrepreneur from Minnesota who played a major role in documenting through photographs the settlement and early history of the great Northwest. Frank Jay Haynes first photographed Yellowstone National Park in 1881 and created a family dynasty that would span eighty plus years. This photograph displays the beautiful Golden Gate Canyon located in Yellowstone National Park showing wonderful sheer cliffs with a road going down the middle. The piece is set onto a grey card stock backing stamped "Haynes Inc Yellowstone Park". It is marked across the back reading "F. J. Haynes Golden Gate 1888 #2305 Albumen". The piece shows good condition with some light wear indicative of age. It measures 14 3/4" wide by 12" tall with the photo measuring 10 1/4" wide by 7 3/4" tall.

Navajo Morenci Turquoise & Sterling Bracelet

Included in this lot we have a Navajo Native American sterling silver and morenci turquoise bracelet. The bracelet shows two silver band construction with a shadow box at the center. The shadowbox displays a large cabochon of Morenci turquoise with five silver droplets across the top and bottom. Each side of the shadowbox is framed with a silver leaf pattern. The sides of the shadowbox show lines of silver droplets going across one side and a partial line across the other side. The piece shows good condition overall with a warm patina. The shadowbox measures 1 5/8" long by 1 1/2" wide with the bracelet measuring a circumference of 6 1/2".

These 1600-1800’s beads are regularly referred to as “white hearts” due to the opaque white core at the “heart” or center of each bead that is finished with a red semi-translucent outer shell (showing the white partially through). This outstanding strand shows a unusually large size with very rare shiny semi-transparent outer shell. The strand consists of tightly braided waxed leather, a later addition. There is as total of 590 antique original Hudson Bay Fur Trading Company exotic glass trade beads. The measurements of each necklace are 13" top knot to tip.

Smith & Wesson Model 1 Second Issue Revolver

This is a fantastic early Smith & Wesson Model 1 Second Issue tip-up single action spur trigger revolver chambered in .22 rimfire caliber, produced by Smith & Wesson circa 1868-1875. The revolver shows a two-tone finish with blue’d octagon 3.25" barrel and brass frame with exotic rare rosewood grips. To reload the weapon, the barrel was tipped up, the cylinder was pulled forward and out of the frame and then the empty shell casings could be poked out by use of the ejector rod under the barrel. It was a simple and sturdy design that worked well. Top of the barrel is marked, "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS." The barrel is marked, "PATENTED APRIL 3, 1855 JULY 5, 1859 & DEC 18, 1860". The revolver shows a fine original condition with a patina’d barrel and brass frame. The grips show very nice condition with only small nicks. Serial Number: 89972. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.

Also included in the collection is a Remington Kleanbore .22 LR box, a Remington Kleanbore Hi-Speed .22 LR box, an American Eagle .22 LR High Velocity box and a Winchester Wildcat 22 box all in good condition. The boxes are full with the exception of the two Remington Kleanbore boxes which are partial fills.

Clovis St. Louis Co. Fluted Point 14000-10000 BP

This is an outstanding authentic ancient pre-historic fluted Clovis St. Louis large point. The point shows a rare Crescent Quarry Flint material having a slight brownish / yellow / tan coloring with red / pink spotted matrix and is in excellent well-preserved museum quality condition. This is an authentic original Clovis point with rare St. Louis Hazel variation spear point in a nice large size that was collected in western Kentucky. This 14,000-10,000 B.P. artifact is from the Missouri Native American Indians and is an exceptionally fine spear point showing wonderful detail and an extraordinary size. Provenance: From a multi-generation artifact collection spanning 80-100 years from Las Cruzes, New Mexico. Shows a third flute on one side and a quarter on the other. The piece comes in a riker case with original collection museum preservation tag that reads, “174-SA20 3 ½” fluted Clovis Point from Kentucky Book Value $3,500.00” and “3 ½ Fluted Clovis KY Value 3,500”. The point is in excellent condition and measures 3.5”L x 1 1/8”W. Most likely a grade G-8+ to G-9.

Sioux Fully Beaded Game Ball Early 1900's

The lot features a nice fully beaded game ball from the Sioux Native American Indians and dating to the first to second quarter of the early 1900’s. The ball shows an Indian tanned hide construction which is presumably filled with a horsehair and buffalo hair padding. The piece is fully beaded in a traditional geometric design showing all early glass trade seed and petit beads in greasy yellow, sky padre light blue, cobalt, brass, and dark red. The Indian tanned hide shows a sinew sewn construction and the beadwork shows trade cotton thread. Overall the game ball is in good condition with very little bead loss. These fully beaded game balls, popular during the Indian Reservation, are becoming increasingly rare and desirable in todays collecting market. Provenance: From an old New Haven, Connecticut American Indian collection. The piece measures overall 3.5”x3.5” by 2.75” D.

This is an excellent 19th Century trade bead necklace from the Northern Plains Sioux Native American Indians. The necklace is strung on early Indian tanned hide, a truly defining authentic aspect. The piece shows a very long double strand design and has a rich even patina across the entire surface. The beads include eight long hair pipe bone beads with a deep yellow patina and appear to be handmade, along with wound glass red white heart pony beads, wound glass pony sky padre light blue beads, dark green wound glass pony beads, faceted trade beads and a dark red wound glass trade bead. The necklace is beautifully matched showing nice original condition and authentic patina. Provenance: From an old American Indian collection in Manheim, Pennsylvania. Overall measures 108" in total length and is 54" length when double strung. Truly an exceptional authentic scarcely seen example.

The stone is known for its astounding cornflower blue coloring, a result of trace amounts of iron and titanium. The lot features a nice oval Jelly Opal set in a 14k yellow gold ring. The Jelly Opal shows a polished oval cabochon cut and has an approximate size of 4.0 carats. The ring features seventeen prong crown setting with single band made of solid 14 karat yellow gold. The band is not hallmarked, but has been tested and confirmed to be 14K or greater and less than 18K, possibly European. The Jelly Opal owes its name to its "gelatinous" appearance and is also called girasol opal and water opal. The opal shows delicate flashes of red, orange, yellow and green. Overall the ring is in good condition. Ring is a size of _ US.

The blade has been forged from 1095HC (High Carbon) steel and 15N20 Nickel Carbon which is then heated and folded into 396 layers creating the astounding “Damascus” steel. The knife shows a wonderful ladder Damascus pattern. The hollow grind full tang blade has been paired with a set of nice white wild Buffalo bone grip scales which are secured to the piece using two mosaic pins of brass and copper. The knife also features a set of polished stainless-steel bolsters with a comfortable finger well. The tang and knife spine have been artfully hand vine filled. The grips have also artfully been scrimshaw etched with the signature of Charles Marion Russell. C.M. Russell (American 1864-1926) is the most notable Montana and Old Western Artist of all time and considered a true treasure of Montana. This example shows an original artwork C.M. Russell signature with Buffalo Skull which has been etched into handle. The knife is in brand new condition and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity along with a Lifetime warranty.
