1972 MG-B Roadster

Lot # 026 (Sale Order: 27 of 167)

This fine example of a classic British sports car was manufactured and marketed from 1962 until 1980 by the British Motor Corporation.
All MGBs (except the V8 version) used the BMC B-Series engine.  The body was a pure two-seater; a small rear seat was a rare option at one point. By making better use of space the MGB was able to offer more passenger and luggage accommodation than the earlier MGA while being 3 in (76 mm) shorter overall.  For 1972, the MGB featured a new interior and fascia.  This British Racing Green convertible has a new soft top.  The clutch was recently replaced and the vehicle was tuned and serviced.  This vehicle is being offered with a title.

Make: MG
Model: MGB
Year: 1972
VIN: GHN5UC285399G
Transmission: 4-Speed Manual
Cylinders: 4-Cyl.

1947 Mercury Series 79 Convertible

Lot # 027 (Sale Order: 28 of 167)

This is a rare 1947 Mercury Eight Model 79 M V-8 Convertible Coupe  came from a decades-long ownership from a local Connecticut collector who restored the car to a high level winning an AACA junior and Senior Award in the 1990?s. Today the car still looks fantastic, finished in its original and incredibly rare special-order color of Pirate Red with matching leather with tan cloth interior. The top is a power top for ease of operation, and it works as it should with all aspects inspected.

Recent mechanical servicing included a carburetor rebuild, coolant system flushing, changing of all fluids and a brake service. It runs and drives incredibly well. The restoration has held up well and is ready for top down driving this summer.  It is tour ready and it still likely ranks as one of the prettiest Mercuries out there.

The interior is in nice restored condition with its original radio, all brightwork & instruments as well as seats and carpeting looking beautiful.  All electronics and vacuum accessories work including lights, wipers, instruments, etc.

This Model 79M Convertible Coupe starts instantly, runs, drives and stops exactly as a well-maintained Merc of this era should.  It doesn?t pull and is well mannered & predictable in all circumstances.

Under the car is a spotless chassis with no rust or rust repair evident anywhere.  The trunk is also spotless with an older spare & jack in place.

The seller states This series 79 Mercury is tour ready and it still likely ranks as one of the prettiest out there.

1969 Class B Hydroplane Boat w/ Mercury KG-7 Super 10 Hurricane Motor and 1955 Chris- Craft Trailer

Lot # 032 (Sale Order: 33 of 167)

Dubbed, ?The Cat?s Meow?- this awesome 1969 Class B Stock Hydroplane Boat with Mercury KG-7 Super 10 Hurricane Outboard Motor and 1955 Chris-Craft Model CC-300 Trailer is a very rare package. The basic hull design of most hydroplanes has remained relatively unchanged since the 1950?s. It has two sponsons in the front, one on each side of the bow. Behind the wide bow is a narrower, mostly rectangular section housing the driver, engine and steering equipment. The aft part of the vessel is supported by the water by the lower half of the propeller which is designed to operate semi-submerged at all times. The goal is to keep as little of the boat in contact with the water as possible as water is much denser than air, exerting more drag on the vehicle. Essentially the boat ?flies? over the surface of the water rather than actually traveling throughout it.  From the information gathered this vintage hydroplane boat was saved and restored by enthusiast George Koehler of Savannah, GA. Remnants of his ?55-7? racing numbers can still be seen on the sides on the hull where number decals were located. It was refinished in white, red and natural clear-coat which was recently detailed to a brilliant shine by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The white painted section was decorated with the words ?The Cat?s Meow? in sliver which adds character. It was also decorated with APBA (American Power Boat Association) decals and AOMCI (The Antique Outboard Club Inc) decals. It has a plastic windshield and stainless trim on various locations. The cabin space is home to the vintage Superior Performance Products the ?500? chrome 3-spoke black wrapped steering wheel and Keller 200 Deadman throttle. The re-upholstered red seat pad matches the exterior red color theme. The boat is powered by a Mercury KG-7 Super 10 Hurricane Outboard Motor that was built by the Kiekhaefer Mercury during the years of 1950 through 1952. In 1950, Mercury engineers came out with the Super 10 Hurricane, Model KG-7. This motor was based on the previous models KE-7 Lightning and KF-7 Super 10 Lightning. Upgrades included redesigned connecting rods, upgraded aluminum clamp and swivel brackets, a new higher RPM magneto, improved porting, an 8 reed valve cage and larger crankcase opening. Hurricane was also advertised at 10hp which was way below the actual 18hp it developed. It was dubbed ?Super? because they were superior in horsepower to other 10hp outboard motors. This motors serial tag and stamp number #403246 matches. Today very little Mercury KG-7 Super 10 Hurricanes have survived the years waiting to be run or displayed at a local Antique Outboard Motor Club, Inc event. In demand and also rare, today a KG-7 will command high values. This pretty little racer is capable of over 50 miles per hour! The boat sits on an even rarer piece which is a 1955 Chris-Craft Model CC-300 trailer. Chris-Craft produced the Model CC-300 boat trailer during the years of 1951 through 1958 and sold them as a kit. They were advertised as smooth- riding, sure-trailering and lasting durability with 300-2,200 lbs. capacities. From the information gathered this is one of only a few that is known to exist today. This example was completely restored in its correct colors of a blue frame and yellow fenders. The fenders were decorated with reflectors and decals that read, Made by Chris Craft- Boat Utility Trailers. The frame was wrapped with carpeting to prevent any damage to the boat. The trailer is equipped with black springs and red shocks. The trailer rolls on 8? black painted steel wheels with Sure Trail ST 4.80-8 tires.  The boat and outboard motor is sold on a Bill of Sale only. The trailer is sold with a clean Pennsylvania title that reads 1955 Chris-Craft trailer. The combination of the boat, outboard motor and trailer makes this an extremely rare package! From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.

1993 Ford F-150 LIGHTNING Pickup Truck

Lot # 041 (Sale Order: 43 of 167)

Being sold with No Reserve, is this rust-free 1993 SVT Lightning that was ordered for dealer stock by Crown Ford in Roswell, GA in June 1993. Built 7/20/93, it was sold to the first owner on 9/2/93. The dealer ordered it very well equipped with:

  • Tachometer
  • Speed Control/Tilt Wheel
  • Trailer Towing Package
  • Power Mirrors
  • SVT Lightning Package
  • Air Conditioning
  • AM/FM/Cassette/Clock Stereo Radio
  • Light Group
  • Super Engine Cooling
  • Dual Fuel Tanks
  • Handling Package
  • XLT Package
  • Power Door Locks/Windows
  • Convenience Group

The truck spent most of its life in GA (1993-1995) and Kentucky (1995-2021) before going to Maine in October 2021, where it saw little road time. In 2022, it was sold to the current consignor and brought to MA, where it has been garaged and driven only in good weather. It is a relatively low mileage example, with only 91K miles on the odometer.

The CarFax report shows accident damage in 1995, but there is no longer any evidence of that.

The consignor has completely refreshed the exterior with fresh paint done properly, with the bed removed from the frame. The drop-in bedliner installed by the original dealer was removed and the bed was resprayed in matching red bedliner. A rubber mat cut to fit completed the refresh. Four months after being painted, the truck was ceramic coated. It shows beautifully, with high gloss and mirror-like finish. The frame and undercarriage are both exceptionally clean.

The original stereo comes with the truck but it was replaced by a single-DIN CarPlay/Android Auto unit that also provides Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio streaming. A Motorola MA-1 adapter for wireless Auto Android operation was added and will stay with the truck.

The installation was done with no cutting so that a future owner could reinstall the original head unit simply by removing the current unit and the custom adapter cable. The original factory cable is present and undamaged.

A backup camera and dash camera were added as well and will remain with the truck.

Over the years and prior to current ownership, the sliding rear window was replaced by a solid rear window, which is preferred due to noise reduction and no leaking.

The interior looks fantastic. The original bucket seats retain the Lightning-specific upholstery and all interior trim parts are clean and undamaged.

This truck drives very well and it has made two round trips between central MA and Carlisle, PA with no issues. It has received regular maintenance. In addition, both fuel tanks and fuel pumps have been replaced so the dual tank system works as it should. It recently received a new MAP sensor and was fully serviced in 2023. The oil and filter were changed in May 2024. In July 2024, the R12-based A/C system was completely upgraded to new R-134A components ? evaporator core, condenser, accumulator/dryer, compressor, and all hoses or lines with new O-rings.

The truck will come with all receipts from the consignor?s ownership, a Marti Report, an SVT certificate, a clear title, a current MA registration, and two sets of keys, and is being sold with a Title.

1984 Ford Mustang Passenger Car, VIN # 1FABP27M7EF170729

Lot # 042 (Sale Order: 44 of 167)

To celebrate the Mustang's 20th birthday, Ford produced a special edition that was based on the GT. Available in both the hatchback and convertible body styles, the 20th Anniversary Mustang sported white paint along with old-school-style red rocker panel stripes that, in a nod to the early Shelby Mustangs, stated ?GT 350?. Of course, there were special badges as well as the GT?s ultra-supportive sport seats.

On offer here is one of these special ?80s Mustangs that is in gorgeous condition and boasts just 23,571 pampered miles. Even the original ?TRX? metric wheels are still on the car. The power top is likewise in fine shape and comes with a color-keyed boot. The car retains its original paint and GT350 burgundy stripes. No rust, damage, scratches, dents or dings. Proper alignment to all its original body panels. A 3 step paint correction was just completed on June 5th.

Vibrant Canyon Red interior shows brand new and feature the articulated seats that resemble Recaro seats in comfort and style. Out of total production of 141,480, only 1,361 were equipped with the 20th Anniversary Edition package. The engine bay and undercarriage were treated with Ziebart dealer installed rust protectant.

Inside, the Mustang GT features the aforementioned sport seats with adjustable side bolster and under-thigh supports. Typical for an anniversary edition, this example is loaded with options whose highlights include A/C, power windows/locks, cruise control, tilt wheel and a Premium AM/FM/Cassette sound system.

Mustang enthusiasts will note that this car, optioned with the 4-speed automatic transmission features a fuel-injected version of the 5.0-liter H.O. V8. Manual transmission versions still had a carburetor and would until 1986, when all the 5.0-liter V8s would have fuel injection. Firing up quickly with a twist of the key, the V8 sounds awesome through the factory sport-tuned exhaust.

Underway, the car runs smooth and strong, and as expected of a very low-mileage and well-kept car, handles and brakes confidently as well.

1936 Ford Ambulance

Lot # 044 (Sale Order: 46 of 167)

This 1936 Ford V8 Ambulance, a personal gift by Mr. Edsel Ford, is one of the most interesting historic vehicles to come through the New England Auto Auction in a long time. Well documented with personal letters, this vehicle speaks not only to the generosity of the Ford family but to the adaptability and multiple uses of Ford's vehicles.

"If it is consistent with the policy of the school, I would be very glad to present the school with this ambulance. Yours Truly, Edsel Ford". These are the words that Mr. Ford chose to close his letter with the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, a well known preparatory school. Mr. Ford also comments in the letter that this Ambulance conversion is the option for any ambulance to be used on the Ford chassis. Throughout its life, this ambulance served the school extremely well and was well cared for. A rolling time capsule, this ambulance is 100% original with the exception of a cosmetic frame on exterior repaint in the 1990's. To date, this vehicle has been with the same family since 1970. On the interior, the panels and interior accessories are as they were during use. The rolling stretcher, superior medical and first aid kits as well framed documents and history are included with the vehicle.
