1947 Mercury Series 79M Convertible
Lot # 48 (Sale Order: 51 of 201)
This is a rare 1947 Mercury Eight Model 79 M V-8 Convertible Coupe. A beautiful example that is fresh from the Bobby McGowan estate here in Connecticut where it had resided in his possession for over 20 years. Prior to that, it came from a decasdes-long ownership from a local Connecticut collector who restored the car to a high level winning an AACA junior and Senior Award in the 1990?s. Today the car still looks great finished in its original and incredibly scarce special-order color of Pirate Red with matching leather with tan cloth interior. We treated it to a cosmetic detailing as well as a new black canvas top bound in matching red leather. The top is a power top for ease of operation, and it works as it should with all aspects inspected.
Mechanically we completed a full service including a carburetor rebuild, coolant system flushing, changing of all fluids and a brake service. It runs and drives incredibly well. The restoration has held up well and is ready for top down driving this summer. It is tour ready and while it is no longer concours condition, it still likely ranks as one of the prettiest Mercuries out there.

1992 Ford F-150 XLT/Lariat
Lot # 53 (Sale Order: 57 of 201)
This 1992 Ford F-150 XLT/Lariat is a survivor truck purchased new by an elderly couple who drove it sparingly and kept it garaged. They had it Ziebart protected before it ever left the dealership (dated paperwork in hand), so the undercarriage is in exceptional condition.
Since purchasing it two years ago, The current owner has upgraded some items for convenience and usability. Owens Manufacturing fiberglass side steps color-matched to the primary body color make it easier to get in and out. LED headlights and reverse lights, a tailgate light bar, and a backup camera provide enhanced visibility and safety. The 8? truck bed has been protected since new with a Ford OEM drop-in bedliner. A Truxedo LoPro roll-up tonneau cover was added to provide weather protection and Huskyliner floor liners were added to protect the original carpeting. He also added a bench seat console with storage and cupholders for convenience on road trips.
The original Ford AM/FM radio was upgraded to a double-din multimedia unit that supports CarPlay and Android Auto. It was installed using the dash conversion kit from OBS Interiors. The backup camera is wired into the multimedia head unit.
In April of 2021, The current owner had the truck ceramic-coated and detailed in preparation for the Ford Nationals in Carlisle, PA, where it won its class.
This truck has completed 2 round trips to Carlisle, PA from Central Massachusetts and has done one round-trip to St. George, ME. All in all, I?ve added about 4K trouble-free miles. The only maintenance it?s needed was an oil change and a Motorcraft starter solenoid at 62,380 miles, along with a new idle air control valve, engine air filter, and crankcase breather filter at 62,390.
The dual fuel tank system works exactly as it should. Each tank will trigger a gas pump shutoff when full and the switchover between tanks works flawlessly, switching the feed and the fuel gauge readings instantly.
It is a smooth riding truck with very comfortable seats. The air-conditioning blows very cold. It comes with a deluxe Marti Report, a clean CarFax report from June 2020, MA state inspection reports, and partial service records from the original owners.

Lot # 59 (Sale Order: 63 of 201)
The first generation Lightning was conceived by Ford?s Special Vehicle Team (SVT), a division comprised of engineering and marketing personnel responsible for designing, developing and marketing limited-edition, high-performance vehicles for enthusiasts based on existing Ford inventory. The philosophy focused on design refinement, improving attributes of current models and, hopefully, making them image leaders for Ford. Specific attention was paid to the Lightning?s powertrain and chassis to provide a balance of power and handling. In Ford?s words: ?For all intents, the F-150 Lightning is a Mustang GT with a cargo bed.?
Ford SVT built the Lightning with a high-output V-8 based on the 5.8-liter, 351 ci. engine and a E40D 4 speed automatic transmission. SVT installed GT-40-type cast-iron cylinder heads, a tuned intake manifold, tubular stainless-steel headers, high-rate capacity fuel pump and injectors, revised combustion chambers, a redesigned air filter for improved airflow and a true dual exhaust system. A 4.10:1-ratio rear axle housed a limited-slip differential inside a heavy-duty 8.8-inch rear end.
This Lightning runs and drives very well, the previous owner drove it on frequent road trips. The original warranty card and owners manual will be included with the sale.
