RARE SEALED IN PLASTIC MOSSBERG 500 MILS PUMP

Lot # 1026 (Sale Order: 26 of 636)

ACTION SHOTGUN WITH MATCHING FACTORY BOX. Cal. 12 GA, 2 3/4" or 3". S# USA00459. Bbl. 20". One of just 5,000 Model 500 MILS pump action shotguns mfg. by Mossberg circa. 1...more983, based on the US Military's Mossberg 500 contract configuration. Left side of the bbl. is marked with the Mossberg trademark logo above the cal. designation. Left side of the receiver is marked with the S# "U.S.A00459", with Mossberg's mfg. information and the model designation marked on the underside, just forward of the loading gate. Metal components exhibit a matte gray finish. Textured black polymer pistol grip buttstock with grooved black polymer pump. Shotgun remains sealed in its original factory plastic wrap. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: matching factory box. CONDITION: near new, with metal components retaining virtually all of their original factory finishes overall. The exact bore condition cannot be determined due to the aforementioned sealed plastic wrap, but it is assumed to be in near-new condition, as it is with the rest of the shotgun. Black polymer furniture is excellent overall. Box shows some exterior wear from handling and storage but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. A near-new example of a rare Mossberg Model 500 MILS pump-action shotgun that one would find nearly impossible to upgrade from. PROVENANCE: from the lifelong collection of Terrance McCarty. (24-50/JZ). MODERN. $700-1,200.
