RARE GERMAN WORLD WAR II ARMY ACCEPTED MAUSER

MODEL 1934 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 616093. Bbl. 3 3/8". One of only an estimated 8,000 Model 1934 semi-automatic pistols mfg. by Mauser, procu...morered by the German army between 1940 and 1941. Left side of the slide is marked with the S# within a milled panel, followed by Mauser's mfg. information, with "Cal. 7.65 D.R.P.u.A.P." marked on the right. Sideplate is marked with the Mauser banner logo, with the left side of the receiver exhibiting a Mauser Eagle/655 acceptance proof above an eagle firing proof, indicating Army acceptance. Eagle/N commercial nitro proof on the top rear of the slide appears to have been incorrectly stamped or defaced at one time. Metal components exhibit a proper high police salt blue finish overall, with the frame being mounted with a 1-piece crosshatched wood wrap around grip. All numbers are matching and include the frame, sideplate, slide, and bbl. MAGS: 2 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster marked "ROBERT LARSEN/ BERUN/ SW68/ 1939" above an eagle holding a party insignia. Interior of the closure flap exhibits a faint handwritten name, appearing to read "Lt. Henderson". CONDITION: very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning that show through to a pleasing gray patina, with some scattered superficial marks overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting what appears to be a couple of small spots of light to mild pitting while retaining well-defined rifling throughout. Grip is very good, showing some smoothing, minor impressions, and a few scattered marks from handling and storage. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting age-related cracking and crazing overall. Top of the slide is marked with a double-crowned "U" commercial proof just behind the rear sight. Bbl. is a replacement, being unmarked, save for a single Eagle/N commercial nitro proof on the right side of the lug. Frame, sideplate, and slide exhibit a rust blue finish, with the trigger and extractor exhibiting a nitre blue finish and the replacement bbl. exhibiting a high polish blue finish. Frame is mounted with a 1-piece flat crosshatched wrap around the wood grip. Matching numbers are present on the frame, sideplate, and slide. MAGS: 1 8-rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: brown leather holster handwritten "GRUPPE MENTON" above "SPEZIALTAT/ ABTEILUNG 288/ H. G. BUCHHOLZ", roughly translating to "GROUP MENTON/ SPECIALTY/ SECTION 288/ H.G. BUCHHOLZ", possibly indicating Hans-Gunter Buchholz, who served as Leutnant of 1st Platoon, Sonderverband 288. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finishes, exhibiting edge wear overall, with some light pitting present on the right side of the frame and slide, as well as mild wear and thinning on the front grip strap that shows through to a pleasing gray patina. Mirror bore, retaining sharp and well-defined rifling throughout. Grip exhibits scattered marks from handling and storage, with a small chip present on the left side at the bottom left corner. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting areas of appropriate age-related cracking and crazing overall. An attractive Mauser Model 1914 pistol is attributed to Hans-Gunther Bochholz. MAUSER'S PATENT," with a double crown over "U" commercial proof stamped on the right (which is also present on the right side of the bbl. lug). Sideplate is marked with the signature Mauser banner logo. Metal components exhibit a blue finish, with the frame being mounted with a 1-piece crosshatched wood grip. Half-moon blade front sight with V-notch rear sight. Basic disassembly has been performed (minus removal of the sidelatch sideplate), with matching numbers being present on the frame, safety catch lever, slide, takedown/mainspring guide rod, as well as on the bbl. MAGS: 1 9-rd. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original factory blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a mottled gray patina with light surface oxidation and some scattered small spots of pitting present overall. Bore exhibits consistent moderate pitting while retaining fair to good rifling throughout. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original arsenal blue finish, with the balance retaining a mottled gray patina and some scattered spots of pitting overall. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their original factory finish, exhibiting some light to mild edge wear, a few areas of light thinning that show through to a pleasing brown patina, a few scattered superficial handling marks, as well as a couple spots of very light freckling overall. CONDITION: excellent as professionally refinished, with metal components retaining bountiful amounts of their reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some light edge wear and some superficial marks from handling and storage overall. Excellent bore, retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips exhibit smoothing and some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remain sturdy and serviceable. Left grip exhibits a chip in the top left corner of the panel, with two small cracks present at the bottom. Mags. retain a gray patina and scattered spots of age-related discoloration, with one mag. showing spots of mild pitting overall. Cal. 380 ACP. S# 546915. Bbl. 4". Attractive Astra M300 in 380 ACP, waffenamt marked, as procured by Germany during WWII. Complete with a spare mag. and correct holster. ...moreThe pistol is marked in the usual manner, with the logo over the forward slide, followed by the Astra name and location in Spain. Triad of Eibar proofs on the left tang, with the automatic pistol proof repeated on the left slide and on the exposed chamber, the latter also marked with the caliber "9MM KURZ". Full S# on right tang, right side of slide, last 3-digits on underside of bbl. Major components are rust-blued with a fire-blued extractor and grip screws. Trigger, safety lever, and mag. release in the white. Fitted with a lanyard ring. Correct mags. that are unmarked except for the Astra logo on the floorplate extension. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: complete with the correct brown holster with pouch for spare mag. and a single broad belt loop on the obverse surface. Ink marking on the inside flap is not legible. CONDITION: very good with sharp edge and handling wear, as one might expect from a pistol that has seen moderate use, along with the usual plier marks at the forward slide reflecting an improper attempt at disassembly. Grips oil soaked, with blunted checkering and small scattered losses, especially on the right panel. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. Holster is very good, except for the retention stud, which has torn free from the body of the holster. (24-1501/MLW). CURIO. $750-1,250.
