Vignette on right side of receiver features a running jackrabbit. Left side vignette depicts a woodland scene w/ a squirrel. Scenes are surrounded by vine type foliate scroll w/ stippled backgrounds. Complimentary engraving extends to upper & lower receiver areas as well as trigger guard, breech block & buttplate. Breech & muzzle ends of bbl. have gold bands accented by scroll highlights. Custom forearm & straight grip stock of nicely grained walnut have gloss finish & style H hand checkering. Bbl., mag. tube & small parts have a brilliant high polished custom blue. CONDITION: excellent, with metal components retaining the vast majority of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting some light wear on the underside of the bbl. and mag. tube from cycling of the action, some scattered superficial handling marks, as well as a few small spots of light surface oxidation overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well defined rifling throughout. Wood furniture shows a few nicks and marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains very good to excellent overall. Board displayed a full line of Winchester cartridges & shells in a double W formation w/ pictures of a flying mallard, moose & hunters w/ their Winchester rifles over a downed Grizzly. Images are set against a dark green background that measures 39 1/2" by 49". Display is in a wooden frame w/ gold painted wood inner border. Framed size 40" x 57 1/2". CONDITION: display shows light fading of the images w/ apparent water damage around the edges causing some raised surfaces & wear spots. Many cartridges show spots of corrosion & patina. WONDERFUL UMC CARTRIDGE BOARD.

54.5" x 41.5" oak framed, cast gesso panels at top & bottom: "TRADE U.M.C. MARK" & "THE UNION METALLIC CARTRIDGE CO". 24" x 17" central diamond shaped illustration depict...moreing three bugling bull elk, three deer, in lush terrain overprinted with large "U.M.C." overprint. Mounted are numerous cartridges which are all labeled, including 126 centerfire, 36 rimfire, 3 pinfires, 9 shotgun shells, 1" Gatling Gun cartridge, blasting caps, primers, cannon friction primers, and more. This is among the highest condition UMC cartridge board you will find, amazingly it is still paper sealed on back, appears never opened. Backing board with text is clean with crisp text, all attached bullets near perfect, with very light corrosion to just a few. Surviving boards show considerable light fading, this board still has all of its bright colors and it would be difficult to upgrade. This board is from the Stagecoach museum and pictured on page 43 of collection book. CONDITION: fine, among the very best, minor staining to right lower quadrant of board, minor chips to external gesso panels, interior silver painted gesso liner is fine. The model was named "The Clinton" and it is estimated that this clock, with the original advertising dial, was made in 1920, give or take 5 years. The movement is stamped "Sessions" and will run in good order for 8 days. The movement has recently been serviced and should give decades of reliable service.
