Cal. 303 Brit. S# a56645. Bbl. 25 1/4" w/ sight blade marked "*A" & "0". Mfg. 1920 w/ matching numbered bolt, rear sight & nose cap having stacking swivel. Buttstock w/ b...morerass buttplate (appears replacement as it is lighter stained hardwood; balance of walnut) & receiver above S# have w/ "G1433" (receiver marks very poor as if stamped w/ broken stamps); likely repurposed unit mark. Right rear of receiver has "I-A CO" import mark. Canvas sling w/ no markings; brass ends. No swivel on trigger guard. MAGS: 1 good fourth variation 10 rd. w/ "4" on base of rib. CONDITION: good plus appearance w/ light high point wear on metal surfaces. Very good stock set w/ arsenal repairs of rectangular plugs. Wilkerson bayonet w/ 17" fuller blade marked "1907" & "8 '17". Leather covered scabbard w/ blued metal ends. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: tan canvas carry bag w/ unused appearance having attached gray brass ended sling clearly marked "J. & A. H. 1944" plus broad arrow. APERTURE SIGHT AND BAG. Standard issue w/ 25" bbl. is marked w/ royal crown over "GR", BSA CO.", 1914", "SMLE" & "III" on right side of stock socket. A Centoral receiver ...moresight is affixed to left side. This sight was made in Australia & examples are fairly scarce. Base uses existing holes for mounting. Buttstock has brass disc marked "O.TC", "FTS", "145". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: green painted tin box for sight contains original safety retainer and short screw for trigger guard. Canvas carrying case marked "J. & A.H. 1944". CONDITION: very good as refinished. Metal parts retaining nearly all of a reblue. Stocks with light overall refinishing have some subsequent marks. Fine bore with some slight throat erosion. Mechanically good. Sight is very fine, base appears to be retemper blued. Box has new green paint over original red lacquer. Milled adj. rear sight graduated to 1,300 yards marked "F". Blade front sight w/ protective ears. Hardwood stock set. Buttstock is marked at heel w/ "L". MAGS: 1 matching 10 rd. detachable. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: 8" fullered blade knife bayonet for the No. 4 Lee Enfield rifle. Bayonet is marked on left side "NO 9" "MK1-54" & "broad arrow". Bayonet has steel scabbard & green web frog. Mfg. 1945 w/ correct features to include: matchi...moreng bolt having hollow handle, receiver lightening cuts, shortened forend set, steel framed rubber recoil pad, side sling mount & 4th variation 200-800 rear sight having milled parts plus 2nd variation 1/2 threaded elevation screw. Buttstock w/ 874 stamped on left by recoil pad holder, 58 stamped behind trigger guard & "C" over 27 in white paint on right side of buttstock. Receiver w/ FTR rebuild mark. 2nd variation safety w/ serrated cross drilled thumbpiece retained by cross pin. No, 3 bolt head. Lanyard loop on trigger guard that is narrowed behind screw but inletted for non narrowed guard. Import marked on bottom of bbl. behind bayonet lug. Light green canvas sling marked "J.S.&S.Co." & date that appears to be 1953; brass metal ends. Underside of forend faintly marked B2626. 2nd variation bayonet marked "R.F.1" having wood handles retained by 2 bolts. 8" blued blade w/ fullers. MAGS: fair refinished 10 rd. numbered BD5258 plus prior number X'd out; body dents & prior pitting. CONDITION: good appearance w/ metal finish best appearing. Forend cap, butt pad retainer & bbl. band w/ brown patina. Extra finish, handling marks & scraped finish on stock set. Very good sling set. ACTION RIFLE TO SINGLE SHOT .410 MUSKET. Cal. 410. S# 4202R. Bbl. 25". Serial numbers match on receiver, bolt, rear sight, forend & bayonet lug. These rifles were convert...moreed by Ishapore to a smooth bore taking a special .410 musket cartridge & converted to single shot operation by eliminating the mag. & mag. well. These muskets were intended for riot & guard duty. Buttstock marked on right side w/ crown "GR" "ENFIELD" "1918" "SHT L.E" "III" "star". Marked on left side of butt socket "410" "RFI" "1949". Receiver has metal trough underneath bolt to guide cartridge into chamber. Trigger guard has wooden plug in mag. well fitted flush w/ forend. Tangent rear sight graduated to 2,000 yards. Sight leaf has additional hole for locking screw which is not present. Bbl. is marked on front sight w/ "SCHV". Blade front sight. Bayonet mt. has protective ears. Hardwood stock & handguards. Buttstock has circular markings on right side which include "SRD" & broad arrow and "DTE" & broad arrow. Buttstock marked w/ white "21" on left side. Brass trap buttplate. Forend has "Indian Kiss" reinforcing screw. 2 Sm. pins to retain mag. filler. CONDITION: stock set has moderate wear, staining & handling marks throughout. Buttstock has inletted repair at heel & toe. Front handguard has brass reinforcing pin ahead of rear sight. Metal turning gray & patina w/ wear & thinning. Very good shiny smooth bore. (22-595/RW). Reinforcement wood screw added transversely forward of trigger guard. Filler block in mag. well marked S37 & retained by 2 wood cross pins w/ metal follower on top. Matching numbered bolt, nose cap & stock (renumbered); rear sight numbered 11995 plus crossed out 55365. Buttstock w/ SLA52 behind trigger guard. Brass butt plate & canvas British sling. Nose cap w/ provision for stacking swivel (missing). CONDITION: very good overall w/ typical handling marks & slight high point finish loss. Butt stock is near excellent replacement. Varnished stock set w/ zinc buttplate, transverse reinforcement screw forward of trigger guard plus SIA w/ broad arrow on right side of buttstock. Trigger guard w/out sling swivel provision but with lanyard loop. Import mark on right rear of receiver. Numerous sm. proofs on left side of plum toned bbl. band. Open 5 pointed star over chamber at rear of bbl. Tan canvas sling w/ brass ends marked "M.E.Co 1913". MAGS: 1 very good 2A1 style 10 rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: near excellent tan canvas bag w/ unused appearance plus sling having brass ends & inked "J. & A. H. 1944" also having broad arrow (all very clear). CONDITION: about very good overall appearance w/ extra varnish over very light handling marks. Very good metal finish w/ slight high point wear on enameled portions of receiver.
