Walnut stock set with left side sling provisions. Replacement non-German cleaning rod present. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: S/155 coded S84/98 bayonet that shows scattered cleaned areas and oxidation. No scabbard is present. CONDITION: stock set has an arsenal-refinished appearance with scattered dings, black staining, and handling wear. Right side of stock has faint Heer inspection stamps. Left side of stock has Soviet-applied numbers that are mismatched. Cleaning rod is present. CONDITION: sanded stock set has an added oil finish with a couple light chips, scattered dings, and handling wear. Metal is mostly a light gray color with some pitting, possible faded touch-up blue, scattered oxidation, and dings. Safety is stiff but functional. Action otherwise functions well when hand-cycled. Underside of bolt handle also marked with two eagle "63" inspection stamps. Other visible parts are unnumbered. Receiver top marked "dot 1944," denoting mfg. in German-occupied Czechoslovakia in 1944. Receiver markings and bbl. serial have added white highlight paint. Blued finish. Laminated stock with left side sling provisions and repro sling. Underside of the butt and top of the handguard are marked "dot". The butt has a distinct "chatter," and the buttplate has a poor fit at the toe. CONDITION: stock set shows the beginnings of a laminate crack behind the upper tang, some dings, and handling marks. Metal retains 85% original blue with a couple small spots of light pitting on bottom metal, scattered fading, and edge wear. Action functions properly when hand-cycled. Bright, near excellent bore. MILITARY RIFLE. Cal. 8MM Mauser. S# 37414b. All visible numbers match. Bbl. 23 3/4". Barrel marked on right side over chamber with German "eagle" proof. Tangent rear sigh...moret graduated to 2000 meters. Inverted V front sight with protective hood. Receiver is marked on top "byf" and "44". Marked on left side with German eagle and Mod. 98. Rifle has been modified with hobbiest gunsmith type workmanship to include drilling top of the receiver for scope mounting. The receiver bridge has been ground to remove the clip guides. The safety has been replaced by a Mark II low scope type. Bolt handle is unaltered. Solid upper band shows grinding marks around the rear edge. Stamped trigger guard and floorplate. Cleaning rod is present. Laminated stock set with cup type buttplate. Buttstock has faint acceptance mark at belly. Bayonet bar is present. Original brown leather sling with period repair. UNNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: one lower half of see-through scope ring. CONDITION: Stock set has moderate wear, staining and handling marks with added inked initials in bolt recess and sling cut. Metal retains 60% of its original finish with wear, handling marks and several small areas of light oxidation. Extractor has notable plum hue. Feed ramp has been modified by grinding. Rifle appears to be a Russian-captured example, but the bbl. and receiver have a lighter blue finish than the rest of the gun. No visible import or "X" markings. Receiver top has "243 1940" markings, denoting mfg. by Mauser Borsigwalde in 1940. Locking screws, rear sight base screw, and cleaning rod are missing. Laminated stock set. with left side sling provisions. CONDITION: cleaned stock set shows remnants of a white sticker on the left side of the butt, some staining, and some handling marks. Other parts have reblue finish that appears to be importer done. Banner K style stock with grasping grooves and left side sling provisions. Brightly finished cleaning rod is present. Receiver top has "42 1939" markings denoting mfg. by Mauser Oberndorf in 1939. Soviet capture rifle that was later reworked by Mitchell's with a brightly polished bolt assembly, takedown disc, and buttplate; other metal parts have Soviet arsenal-reworked blue finish. Blonde laminated stock set with left side sling provisions. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Mitchell's Mauser Letter of Provenance, numbered to this rifle, a WWI Ersatz-style bayonet with scabbard and leather frog in fair condition. Bayonet does not fit the rifle. SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL. Cal. 9mm Para. S# 6742e. Bbl. 4". P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol mfg. by DWM under contract for the Imperial German military during WWI. The bbl....more extension is marked "1916" over the chamber, with DWM arsenal proofs marked on the right. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, trigger, safety lever & bar, bbl., bbl. extension, breechblock, extractor, firing pin, as well as the toggles. MAGS: one 8-rd. with wood bottom. CONDITION: metal components retain traces of their original arsenal blue finish, with the balance exhibiting a mottled gray patina and pitting overall. The bbl. extension is marked with a German Crown/N commercial nitro proof on the left side, which is also present on the left side of the breechblock. Toggle is marked with the intertwined "DWM" monogram. Left side of frame and underside of bbl. are stamped "GERMANY". Metal components exhibit a blue finish overall, with a few smaller parts exhibiting a strawed finish. Area over chamber appears to have been touched up at one time. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. Ramped white plastic beaded blade front sight, with standard V-notch rear sight. Matching numbers are present on the frame, takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, and rear toggle link. MAGS: 1 8-rd. with wood bottom. CONDITION: metal components retain the majority of their original factory blue finishes, exhibiting some mild wear and thinning, some superficial handling marks, as well as some scattered flecks of light surface oxidation.
